    It would be helpful to hear you share what you yourself has done over the years , how much & how often, what you’ve learned for ex what you would do differently or the same etc…. And what age you are 😍 I think you are a walking example of whatever procedures you use & do and how youthing it is. A video covering all that would be so helpful for getting a realistic idea of what ppl may need to do to get results like you have. 💞

      Hi and yes I'd be happy to post a video on what I have done myself. I did more Botox and filler when I was in my twenties and thirties and now that I'm in my forties I'm more into lasers and tightening devices. But yes absolutely I can do a video on that soon! I'm glad I started botox and using medical grade skincare in my twenties as I now see it has definitely paid off ;).

    I’ve had Radiesse in my hands and neck. My hands are so bony and veiny , I hate them. It’s just genetic and ages me so much. Works really nicely. But, I will note, I don’t feel it lasted a year. More like 6 mos maybe. I am going to have it done again though soon. I had one syringe split between both. 1 syringe feathered in my neck. Def worth it to me. You should do a video on non surg Bbl.

    • @rbrz
      @rbrz 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Maybe consider sclerotheraphy for veiny hands? Results are permanent if done correctly or after 2-3 treatments which would be cheaper than doing fillers or biostimulators regularly

      I think you’re supposed to use more and repeat it then it can last a year. Not sure I haven’t done it yet but I’ve always had old looking bony hands and now they’re getting worse.

    Thanks, Dr. Kappel. So interesting! What happens in the case of a vascular occlusion when injected with a stimulant filler? That there is no 'reversing agent' akin to hyalase for these agents is what keeps me from going the route of Sculptra or Radiesse. Though I know how rare these occlusions are, I'm SO afraid of being a medical outlier and experiencing one (as I have had random medical hiccups in the past, like a epidural complication/PDPH etc.).

      Wondering the same. I work at a med spa and we’re waiting on a policy for prp gel injections. Can’t get a direct answer from anyone. Not even the company that manufactures the machine.

    • @DrStefaniKappel
      @DrStefaniKappel  2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      You are absolutely correct. It is SO important to find an expert injector who would be able to appropriately manage and reverse a vascular occlusion if it were to happen. Its us (board certified derms and plastic surgeons) who get called when complications happen at medispas to come to the rescue. There have been several times in my career when patients have been referred to me to reverse a complication from another office. My advice to new injectors is if you cannot reverse a complication then you shouldn't be injecting in the first place. That said, for areas where vascular occlusion may be more risky, I always use HA reversible fillers instead. For instance I never use Sculptra in the temples. Instead I use Voluma here. PRP injections for under eye hollows do not have lasting results as it gets absorbed rapidly and results don't last longer than a few weeks unfortunately.

      I was reading the comments here and ran into yours. Whatever happened in your situation? I had hyaluronic acid fillers in my lips and cheek hollows. Four months later I got a late inflammatory reaction and my face blew up. First my lips then the rest of my face. I had gone in over 12 times for injections into my lips and face and 2 months into it I am finally seeing some results. I got the hyaluronidase which is supposed to dissolve the hyauronic filler. It has been a nightmare for me and I thought about trying other fillers but after reading other stories about sculptra and radiesse I am getting second thoughts.

My doctor told me, and I did read in other places that there were some people who had the COVID vaccine who had issues with their facial fillers. Or, my doctor said, I could have had COVID with no symptoms. I am still confused what caused the reaction. But I have been dealing with bumps in my lips and face. I didn't want to go out for about a month in a half because of it. I wish you all the best with your nodules, I know it has been a nightmare for you.

      Sculptra is great! It’s not a “filler” fyi. Go to the right person and you won’t have an issue. Injecting Sculptra is an art. You need to be precise on how it’s reconstituted, handled, and injected. You also need to make sure you’re massaging the area as directed. I'm not an expert but I think radiesse is more versatile as it can be diluted or can be left pretty thick to create volume and lift under the muscles. also it is absorbed by the body while I think Sculptra says there permanently but I'm not sure. Radiesse is FDA approfed fotonici facial fat loss in patients with HIV who gets severe laxity and unstable skin. a friend of mine did radiesse and the results were impressive and long lasting. he did normal HA fillers late and looked bad instead.
