- Julie Foucher is a full-time medical student and CrossFit athlete who placed 2nd at the 2012 CrossFit Games and 3rd in 2014. As Julie is dedicated to becoming a doctor, she has decided that 2015 will be her last year competing. After 2015, she plans to focus on her education and her medical career.
We spent a day with Julie to see how she balances the demands of her training and studies and to see how she plans to tackle her last competitive season.

I was lucky enough to meet Julie and Camille this week while down at Crossfit Mayhem during work and they both just walked in. Them 2 being 2 of my biggest role models had my heart jumping and i could not believe i just met them. Both are so humble and it sucks that this will be her last year competing in the games, but she has come so far and is definitely one of the best in the world. Such an inspirational athlete in my eyes
The more Julie in my life the better. I can't get enough of this lady. She motivates me so much I can't even say. I hope you win the games this year, sad to hear it will be your last year as a single athlete. Love you Julie!!!!
Tragic that after all this effort, and this being her final season, that she sustained an injury during regionals. Truly heart-breaking.

her studies in college are going to help people like me. I am a 24/7 migraine sufferer and have a lot of health problems. I have found a lot of foods the have caused or aggravated some of them. but I am unable you cure the migraine yet. I have been suffering since 05 and still have not given up hope on new medical break threw. I hope she make medical miracles for others like me. Julie Goucher you are my hero and my inspiration

Matto Niyazi My occupational therapist has a intern/student, that in addition, goes to school full time and trains MMA.
Kids i'll give you haha, but obviously I have to work as well as be educated/train full time!

I sat across the aisle from this chick on a flight to Cali, she was wearing yoga pants and a tank top and I was like dayum she is hot and fit. The next day I'm with my brother and some friends at a bar in Long Beach and the Crossfit games comes on TV and I'm like, "omg I sat next to her on my flight", they still don't believe me.

She tried her best... It's not her fault that she lost but her injury. She is one the best.
The will and determination of this girl is praise worthy. Knowing first hand how difficult it is to synchronise college with your fitness goals and life it's clear, without a doubt, that she has a lot of heart and love for what she's doing.
The only thing that may be a little disturbing about this video, although it's not something terribly bad, is the lack of criticism and realism when it comes to her coaches. She is great and her fitness level is admiring but to compare her to the elite gymnast is a bit too much, every coach has his own ways, but rational criticism can get you further than blowing things out of proportion. Nevertheless, she has iron will, wishing her the best!

My pure pharma experience wasn't the greatest. They had a booth at Canada East regionals and I decided to pick their brains a bit. They had a holier than thou attitude and instead of answering my questions about why I should choose them above the next brand, they simply said (paraphrasing) "do you know XYZ athlete? They use our products, if it's good enough for them it's good enough for you"....

lets hope the whole medical thing outweighs the crossfit just a little bit... you know especially considering if you want to become a doctor you'll be dealing with people's lives. But other then that, very admirable work ethic and continue doing great things.

Hahaha I didn't mean it like that man. I meant that we tend to like people similar to ourselves, not that I necessarily have a great personality. It's very subjective as the story goes.
