- We've put together a list of 15+ Android tips and tricks that we think will translate to almost any Android phone. This isn't a list for the advanced Android user, but is geared more towards the basics of Android. This is the Android tips and tricks list for the new Android phone owner or the one who switched from an iPhone to Android.
In this list, we cover how you can take screenshots on Android, quickest ways to launch the camera, using Google Assistant, making the most of notifications, checking for updates, setting up Do Not Disturb mode, customizing your home screen, using Multi Window, making sure you are backing up photos in Google Photos, and more!

None of this is new, to me, but you guys are doing great things. There's so many people who don't know these basic little tricks. I'll definitely share this video to some of my friends and help make them more comfortable with some basic Android use. Thank you. It's a pretty good compilation of basics.

As noted in the description, this one may not be geared toward the experts in the building. There are still those who are new to Android because they finally ditched their awful iPhones and probably need some basic guidance. This is for them. Please be kind to the buttons above, if you know what I mean.
Pixel 2 XL is the best smartphone ever but i've heard that all android smartphones starts lagging after 7-8 month of use, what do you think about that?
I never own an iPhone and never will but I respect their products. However you probably need guidance about being an unbiased you tuber. If it wasn't for IPhone, android would not be where it is at today. You fan boy better hope iPhone continue to do well. Competition between the two operating system will force companies to make better products. If you wish IPhone to fail, you can expect overall cell phone industry to crumble just like the laptop and PC industry.
I used to own an iPhone, switched to Samsung two years ago. Honestly, I can't stand that android fanboys bash iPhone/iOS in every second sentence. I have had all operating systems so far and to be honest, Apple produces an overall better experience. Android is cool because you can modify it a lot. Both systems work fine, no need to destroy your own credibility by randomly bashing other products...

This was actually very helpful. switching from iPhone to the Pixel 2XL after being with Apple for 8 years. my phone will arrive on the 17th or 18th and i’m nervous but excited!

I have a question, hope you don't mind....I have a Samsung s22+ and need help moving my photos and videos to some form of storage. Would like to use a flash drive and am considering one by Verbatim.
My question is, since I do not have a computer, will I be able to use a flash drive? Ideally, I would like to connect the flash drive, download files off the cell onto it, etc., without having to format the drive, or download software or use a computer...
Is this possible?
Any suggestions you can toss out there would be very much appreciated! 😊

Google used to have a translator of what was on the screen, just with a long press in the home button. After the latest updates that "feature" dissapeared, or maybe I couldn't find it but it was really usefull to me.

Thats why i watch this channel, these guys just helps those new comers get to grips with android, would have loved someone to teach me on SD card permissions in apps and weird errors when I jumped over to android. Actually I had a moto G and nexus 7 before I went to LG. I'm back on iOS but that's a preference and I would go back to android in 2 heartbeats.
Love that droid life also covers individual phones interface and phone settings where you won't get to see in reviews or other videos, really helpful to know the difference between phones, android is the same but granular features are not. Like LG has that bluetooth auto starting apps and what happens when you get home, auto turn on wifi or something tasker like. Also not a fan of the way LG did expandable notification, sometimes won't expand, those kinds of things.

Thanks for this .. .still not simple enough for someone just beginning ... but could I ask please .. .re the Apps bought (ie the paid ones) ... do they charge you just once? Or every year?
For most apps that are paid, you pay 1 time for the app. It gets permanently associated with your Google account. So if in the future you get a new phone for whatever reason, you can re-download the app free of charge with your Google account. There are apps that are free to download, but require a subscription to work like Netflix among others.

How did you get the pixel nav bar on The S8+? I want them over the Samsung ones.
Was a specific theme that did that. Pixel...something theme. If I find it again, I'll let you know. But if you search in the themes for one of the Pixel themes, I'm guessing you'll get it.
