it does slow the game a bit down since the really good players always were faster to get the necessary money for loadout and go on a rampage against lesser skilled players. This enabled them to play more aggressively from the get-go. Now they have to play a bit slower due to not having that early advantage (which also meant they could get extra money from eliminating squads). They have to tailor their game a bit more to the fact, that they don't necessarily have good/decent weapons (might change once they know which weapons are good). Of Course, map knowledge also affects them, so their attitude/opinion might change when they get used to these things.
But warzone came into the BR scene being DIFFERENT by adding loadouts to begin with. If we cared about ground loot we’d go play another BR. That’s what I liked about warzone having the freedom to use my own guns while dropping into a BR instead of just relying on luck to find decent guns on the floor

Personally, I could not get into warzone because I never had time to grind my guns and just got shit on in every lobby with ground loot. That being said, if they observe that not a lot of new players are coming in and the existing community hates it, they will surely revert this change.
I think the biggest thing with the loadout change is to make UAVs more impactful (hense them costing 6k) and it removes the number of rats that just camp with ghost and are completely off radar in every way. UAV spam within the first zone is super useful in finding people around you and killing them with ground loot. It also makes ground loot a lot more relevant instead of just using it for the first 2 minutes of a game.
It’s weird hearing Tim’s gameplay and the game audio isn’t drowned out by the constant sounds of airplanes flying overhead (which has been my caldera experience). Double barrel shotgun is amazing. Saved my bacon so many times in two shots.

My take on why they changed the Loadout-System is: They want to slow down the gun-grind. It's harder for you to level up a specific gun if you don't have vanguard. Conclusion: You have to buy Vanguard if you want level up faster. Thoughts? From a game standpoint: I think it's good that the Loadout is delayed. You have to be more flexible and have to work with what you find on the ground, which is more of an Battle Royal.

Tim alot of your critasims are very valid. Its a very good looking map that just hasnt been polished. Just by watching the map feels clausophobic and yet exposed and empty. Anywhere with to many rocks are now going to be avoided and only played if ring forces it like dam or quarry. It honestly looks like a tropical fallout map. Alot of empty space with limited poi. And the whole map is a cone making high ground the winning condition in every game no matter what. The village, airport, peak and dock areas seem pretty but just so much soace inbetween. So basically verdansk was actually play tested and caldera was not.

People can never just be happy, I love the map, and everything about this so far, but everyone is pissed because they feel like they are always running up hill. I love the colors, the vibes, the locations, and I do like the hills and mountains, way better than flat verdansk

My take on why they changed the Loadout-System is: They want to slow down the gun-grind. It's harder for you to level up a specific gun if you don't have vanguard. Conclusion: You have to buy Vanguard if you want level up faster. Thoughts?
From a game standpoint: I think it's good that the Loadout is delayed. You have to be more flexible and have to work with what you find on the ground, which is more of an Battle Royal.

Streamers just don't like the change cause they suck with ground loot. What's the point of even having ground loot if you're going to get your loadout in the first 2 minutes. Might as well just give everyone a gun off the rip and take ground loot out of the game. That's the reason the cchange was made. If you remember the MW seasons the pacing was slower and the CW weapons made it faster. Which IMO was bad because it increased the skill gap and this is a casual game. It's that simple.That's why everyone likes it.
Another thing is also that all the people that own vanguard already have all these weapons leveled as to where people who don't own the game don't. So it evens the playing field for those people as well.

Watching Tim and others farm Verdansk's superstore and get a loadout in less than two minutes almost every match was stale to watch. Loadout change will help to keep things fresh. I'm not sure what the outcry is about.

the 3 biggest Battle Royal games each have their own unique attributes that make them stand out. Fortnite has building. No other BR does. Apex has special ability characters. No other BR does. WarZone has loadouts. No other BR does. These things are what make each game stand out from one another. If you take away that then you’re losing what makes the game special as a battle royal. Which is why people hate the loadouts taking too long

Tim alot of your critasims are very valid. Its a very good looking map that just hasnt been polished. Just by watching the map feels clausophobic and yet exposed and empty. Anywhere with to many rocks are now going to be avoided and only played if ring forces it like dam or quarry. It honestly looks like a tropical fallout map. Alot of empty space with limited poi. And the whole map is a cone making high ground the winning condition in every game no matter what. The village, airport, peak and dock areas seem pretty but just so much soace inbetween. So basically verdansk was actually play tested and caldera was not.
