I loved Divine Rivals so much I thought the writing was so beautiful and I really loved the characters and the romance. Unfortunately I didn’t like Fourth wing, I didn’t vibe with the writing style or care for the characters, I was looking forward to reading fourth wing but I just didn’t like it, but I’m glad that you enjoyed both of these books.

OMG thank you i didn't expect the ending of Fourth wing either and everyone else said it was predicted in the book! I felt so dumb haha. I am glad i am not the only one who was shocked by the ending! haha
I also fell in love with Fourth Wing! I didn’t see the ending coming and I expected the betrayal but didn’t think it would be as big of a betrayal as it was! That gave me more of Gale vibes from Hunger Games in addition to Tamlin! I definitely saw some similarities with ACOTAR which did make me want to read more fantasies at the beginning of the year when I read, and it’s all I have read this year so far! But I finished the books that have been released in the ACOTAR series so far, and I still love ACOTAR more than Fourth Wing! I also have Divine Rivals on my TBR!
I absolutely loved both of these!! I personally enjoyed Fourth Wing a bit more, but I think it's just that I prefer plot a bit more over romance (although romantasy is still one of my favourites). A fantasy rec, if you want one!! The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune is one of my absolute favourites. It's a standalone book, so no cliffhangers!! It's not high-stakes. Definitely a lot more laidback than Fourth Wing and Divine Rivals. Cozy fantasy might be a bit more accurate of a description. I think it's definitely a nice break if you want fantasy, but not an action-packed, high-stakes story.
We literally have the same feeling on that chapter of fourth wing ... Chapter 30 made me shookt cuz theres too much happening on that part and all thru out the book i've listen to its audiobook. Will start Divine Rivals audiobook tomorrow ❤

It has 935 Sites (but including 3 complet Books) so this could take a while 😄
I'm not into fantasy books that much either. I've been debating giving these a try. Definitely think I will need to do so especially going into fall! Thanks for sharing!

I absolutely loved Fourth Wing!!!! However there are definitely a ton of people who did not like fourth wing but I think they are more adult epic high fantasy readers and I can see why they wouldn't like it. Divine Rivals is definitely on my TBR. Its hard cuz so many books come out all the time and so many book content creators talk about them so hard to get to them all.

I don't know how to rate Divine Rivals 6 or 10/5. It was so good that it completely broke me in so many ways, I think I got a book hangover which I haven't had after Archer's Voice.
I seriously think you’d LOVE the Lunar Chronicles, it’s a little more sci-fi but they are princess retellings with fantasy, sci-fi and dystopian and they are young adult.

Does the Twilight and Harry Potter series count as fantasy? Those two series are the only ones I've read in my life because fantasy isn't really my favorite genre. But now seeing these types of vids pop up, I think this upcoming fall/winter I wanna start getting back into it! Alexa, have you looked into the Once Upon A Broken Heart series by Stephanie Garber? Her third and final book in that series is coming out in October!!! 🍂💜
