    What a genuine human being. We need people like this to remind us as to how collectively unaware we are of our own personal power and asking the deep questions. Wake up.

    would be interested in Penny's view on the assault on humanity by Klaus Shwab and the World Economic Forum's Agenda 2030.
    A consequence of growing up listening to bands like Crass made it easier in understanding our true reality altered history and the rest.

    Occasionally talks sense here..... but only occasionally.
    Quite a disingenuous (or uninformed?) reading of Coltrane's life. Leaving other points aside, "A Love Supreme" occurred a number of years after Coltrane had quit heroin. The work was also composed as a suite. Here, the impression given is that "A Love Supreme" was almost "channeled" as pure instinct and, therefore, bypassed Coltrane's rational "cognitive" mind. Not the case at all: Coltrane was extremely advanced in musical technical theory and this was brought heavily to bear as the foundation stone of the work.
    It also seems here that much of Rimbaud's understanding (or interpretation) of Philosophical concepts is subjectively skewed so as to serve and support his own point.... Whatever that may be.
    Very well intended but, if you listen, there's quite a lot being "said" but very little sense or substance.
    The harping on about the "nasty" cognitive mind is laughable hippie / "New Age" twaddle.
    Ridiculous interpretation / extrapolation of what Descartes was about with the "Cogito".
    Utopian idealism helps no one. In fact, it just adds to the problem and leads to a passive aggressive position that orbits around a core forged of frustration, sophistry, despair and superiority.
    "Wishing" the World was thus, doesn't make it thus.

      He may have some of the details wrong but he has the big picture right. And honestly, I don't go to Penny Rimbaud for academically respectable interpretations of philosophy, I go to hear the unique voice of a fiercely independently-minded artist. For the rest of it, what you consider mumbo-jumbo I consider good sense. Matter of perspective, I suppose.

      Yes John Robb out of his depth, but he brought some great information out of Penny, which made for a good interview. I was a little concerned with Pennys' body language towards John, but I think he was quite nervous and that's understandable, opening up in front of an audience like he did.

    Penny has an issue with arguing against and also for semantics. I feel like he has a central issue, but then muddles it. A good example is the issue around the use of the word “artist” here. It’s pretentious and disingenuous to argue that the label (or any label) serves no purpose and we should get away from such a thing, as he finds it necessary to use the concept and word moments later. Labels exist out of necessity. The flippant use of labels is the problem. The term itself is a label.
    I don’t mean this as an insult (quite the contrary), but in order to make the points he’s trying to make, he would have been better served if he walked onto the stage, said the word “is”, and left. Ultimately that’s what he’s attempting to say. “Is”.

    • @newforestpixie5297
      @newforestpixie5297 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I managed to pick up on Pennys’ disgust with Fear being dumped upon us from everything with my above example of the sodding Weather Forecasting in britain ! The grittier stuff I’ll leave to you and whoever else can manage.....😄❤️

    • @jonjones5152
      @jonjones5152 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If he just said "Is" , do you suppose everyone's gonna jam with that? It wouldn't be pretentious but people would say it's pretentious.
      Regarding the 'Artist' thing he's just talking about how labels and Identity put limitations on humans experiencing the human existence. A huge issue these days with all the Identity politics. It's a huge Divide and conquer psi op and labels including Artist are a part of this. There's no pretention here , not in this point he's making.
