      I think that Jafar is based on the character of Iago from Othello loosely based. Iago is kind of like his wife. It's Jafar and his annoying wife going back and forth. In this version Iago is not gay Jafar is a narcissist. Jafar and Iago are both extensions of Jafar. Iago is the voice in his head motivating him like a Lady Macbeth When Jafar wins discounting the sequels it's an ultimate victory for the duo.

    I have to say, Wiggins is probably my favourite character in "Pocahontas". Those little moments of fourth-wall breaking, eh?

      Wiggins: "And also stealing resources that don't belong to us and threatening their way of life. Radcliffe, what you are saying is very wrong. I don't agree with you."
      Radcliffe: "--- NO!"
      Wiggins: "What you are planning on doing is very atrocious and cruel, and is very inhumane. You are essentially attempting to wipe out an entire group of people! Of course they attacked us. They have every right to. This is why I don't support your cause!"

      Don't forget religious penalties and sanctions in the deeply Catholic world of pre-Revolutionary France: his forced marriage to Belle would certainly be invalid in the eyes of the Church, and would have required a heavy penance from him, at best. Combined with his later actions of attempted murder, violent rebellion, and all-around corruption could have gotten him EXCOMMUNICATED, which is pretty serious.

    How many times must I say it, Belle was NOT kidnapped. Kidnap Definition: "take (someone) away illegally by force, typically to obtain a ransom." Maurice trespassed on Beast's property. Being royalty, Beast was legally allowed to put him in the dungeon. Belle comes along and willingly agrees to stay in exchange for her father's freedom. That is in NO way shape or form KIDNAPPING.

    I understand if you don’t want to do this kind of list, but how about which part of Hell Disney villains would go to based on Dante’s Inferno?
    Frollo: Treason or Heresy
    Gaston: Lust
    Ratcliffe: Violence
    Jafar: Fraud

    • @markwilson4078
      @markwilson4078 2 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      That would be an interesting idea. However, you have to note that once you go beyond Heresy, the last three circles are divided up based on which variant of their sins they are being punished for. So…
      Gaston: Agreed 100%. To say his lust for Belle went to extremes is a vast understatement, so Lust fits him well. If the punishment is too light for him, I could also see him being sent to the first ring of Violence for his attempt on the Beast. Additionally, if Beast and Gaston went there together, it could be argued that Beast might be allowed to be the one to keep him as far down into the boiling blood as possible.
      Jafar: Again, I agree with what circle you are placing Jafar in, but Fraud especially is divided into various crimes, so I am going to either put him in Sorcery or Falsifiers (Bolgias 4 and 10 respectively). He however has also done some Lust since he tried to marry Jasmine before she was of age, and he’s done some of Treachery as well. That being said, Fraud will win out.
      Ratcliffe: Once again, this is a case where I agree with the circle, but which part of the circle has to be specified. In his case, he gets the boiling blood because he is a war criminal. Plain and simple.
      Frollo: His exact spot is a bit tricky to place, but anything in any of the first seven circles is going too easy on him, so Heresy is out. The easiest I am willing to go on him is Bolgia 5 in Fraud, also known as the Corrupt Politicians. Bolgia 6 fits him too, as well as Bolgia 9. Those all being said, Treachery is a great place to send him too, but I don’t quite remember which ring he specifically would be sent to since I don’t remember the levels of Treachery that well.
      All in all, very fitting punishments indeed. :)

      @@Coughdropaddict Ah! So that was the name of that ring of the 9th Circle! Thanks!
      Also, now that you mention it, I was also considering Judecca for Frollo since he only took in his adopted son because this was what was he needed to do in order not to be damned to Hell then and there after he killed Quasi’s mother right outside of Notre Dame and was going to do the same to Quasi himself and so betraying Quasi, he was also betraying God. However, I don’t know how good of an argument that is.

    Sounds fair, also here's what I suggest for some of the other villains
    Black Cauldron villains:
    Horned King: death sentence ( he has murder, attempted omnicide, conspiracy, abuse, terrorism, and theft as his crimes and is honestly the most evil animated Disney movie villain ever)
    Creeper: lifetime in prison ( he's aided the Horned King throughout most of his crimes but at the same time never carried out many of them and is a victim of abuse so he avoids the death penalty)
    Atlantis villains:
    Rourke: death penalty ( attempted genocide, regicide, conspiracy, and abuse. )
    Helga Sinclair: lifetime in prison ( aided Rourke's crimes bit was also a key factor in stopping him so she avoids the same fate)
    Queen Grimhilde: death penalty ( murder since she has skeletons in her dungeons meaning that she has starved people before, and abuse but this is only if she's dethroned before her trial, otherwise she could get off Scott free)
    Maleficent: lifetime in prison ( attempted regicide I would say infanticide but Maleficent had enough mercy to let her life until she was 16 so it's not as bad by comparison, false imprisonment, abuse, and vandalism)
    Lady Tremaine: lifetime in prison ( abuse, conspiracy, blackmail, ( and if you count the sequels), brainwashing, and attempted murder)
    Mother Gothel: lifetime in prison ( attempted murder, kidnapping, treason, abuse, and conspiracy)
    Stabbingtons: lifetime in prison ( attempted murder, theft, treason, and kidnapping )
    Scar: death penalty ( regicide, treason, murder, conspiracy, blackmail, abuse, and assault)
    Ursula: death penalty ( treason, false imprisonment, blackmail, attempted regicide, attempted murder, and conspiracy)
    Stromboli: 5 years in prison ( false imprisonment, and abuse)
    Honest John and Gideon: 20 years in prison ( implied murder, abuse, and conspiracy.)
    Coachman: death penalty ( abuse, conspiracy, blackmail, and slave trafficking. )
    And that's just some of them.

    • @markwilson4078
      @markwilson4078 2 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      Those all sound pretty good! I will say 2 things regarding who you listed:
      Helga - So while she may have aided Rourke quite a bit, I do think she will have the possibility of parole with good behavior simply because, like you said, she was a key factor in the defeat of Rourke. So I feel like she will probably be a Parolee given anywhere from 5-15 years after she got sentenced.
      Scar - If Simba’s word held, then Scar would technically have already been sentenced. He told Scar the same words Scar told him after Mufasa died, which meant Scar would have been banished from the Pride Lands. However, that does kind of go hand-in-hand with the death penalty because at that point in the movie, Scar had already thrown the hyenas under the bus and made enemies out of them. Therefore, while the actual punishment would have been exile, it was exile that was essentially death anyway.
      Also, what do you think of this one:
      Yzma - (high treason, attempted regicide, assault on the emperor (we’ll count turning Kuzco into a llama as assault here since they called the Enchantress’s actions on Prince Adam and his servants as counts of assault), conspiracy)
      Kronk (accomplice to Yzma, assisted assault on the emperor)

    • @chadpeterson5698
      @chadpeterson5698 2 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      @@markwilson4078 I say Yzma would get 30 years in prison mainly since she's never actually successful with most of her crimes and without her resources, she isn't much of a threat at all, although given her age she might end up serving the rest of her life in prison anyway and since Kronk turned on Yzma he might end up on parole if he's lucky, and at worst he'll face 5 years jail time.

      Attempting to kill or overthrow a monarch or government is treason and sedition, which in many cultures throughout time automatically carried the death penalty, regardless of whether or not the attempt was successful. The attempt in and of itself proves such intentions and it was not taken lightly.

    My thoughts on the beauty and the beast section: if we look into the beasts age when he was turned we learn that he was around 11, a child. The deadline for the rose is his 21st birthday and we learn from lumiere during be our guest that they have been cursed for 10 years. I think under that context perhaps a more lenient sentence for him. Given how a decade could effect his development it could be said that Bell essentially rehabilitates him.

      Yes, and Belle was a "prisoner," not a servant. And, while you could accuse Beast of extortion, sort of, I don't know if what he did counts as kidnapping. Belle came to the castle of her own accord.
      Belle would definitely argue that, at most, Beast/Prince Adam should serve community service, if for no other reason than to connect with his subjects and work on controlling his temper.

    some Pixar villain sentences
    (note for Mr. Potato Head and Hamm, it's the sentence they would get if it was real life and not just Andy's games.)
    Mr. Potato Head/One-Eyed Bart: 10 months, One-Eyed Bart is a bandit and He's seen attempting robbery twice.
    Sid: nothing... except being grounded, humans don't know about the sentience of toys but Sid experimented on His sister's toys, therefore it would cause His parents to ground Him.
    Hamm/Evil Dr. Porkchop: 30 year sentence, not only did He kidnap Bo Peep but He planned to kill Her with either a shark or monkeys.
    Al: nothing, like i said, humans don't know the sentience of toys and Al acquired Woody legitimately.
    Lotso: 5 months in the caterpillar room. There is law enforcement among toys in Sunnyside and therefore laws. His crimes were extortion and attempted destruction of other toys.
    Hopper and the other Grasshoppers: exile from ant territory, since it's stated "and the grasshoppers leave".
    Skinner: 20 years in prison, Sabotage is a major felony.
    Auto: Reprogramming, Auto is a rogue AI and therefore should be reprogrammed.
    Syndrome: life sentence, He didn't just build a weapon of mass destruction, He also kidnapped a child.
    Mor'du: death by firing squad. since He became a literal feral beast then He should be dealt with like a feral beast, being shot down with arrows.

    2 minutes into the video, and we're already off to a bad start. Adam (Beast) did NOT kidnap Belle. She WILLINGLY went to HIS castle to find her father. Adam also did not force Belle to take her father's place. She OFFERED to take his place and he ACCEPTED. Need to throw this in as well, but Belle is not "thrown into a life of servitude," but serving her father's time as a prisoner -- while being treated as a guest in (again) HIS castle. Also, there is NO relationship when he's being abusive to Belle. It's when he STOPS BEING ABUSIVE that the relationship starts, and even then it's not romantic right away. As for the "people he ruled over," if you're talking about the villagers, they seemed to be blissfully unaware that there was a monarchy in their PROVINCIAL town. If you're talking about the castle staff, Adam's abuse towards them is nothing compared to Gaston's abuse towards Lefou, who is not only physically abused but also degraded, ignored and treated like less of a person.
    In short, Adam is NOT a criminal. Watch the movie again, and please pay better attention.

  • @Frozen_Death_Knight
    @Frozen_Death_Knight 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    Correction about Beast. He did not kidnap Belle. She came there on her own accord. In fact, both she and her father trespassed on royal property without the prince's permission (sure, they couldn't have possibly known because of the spell, but it is still trespassing), so as the one with actual authority he is fully within legal right to do this. There is a problem with trying to apply modern laws to a setting where kings and queens still rule. Royalty back then were both capable of being lawmakers and reinforce those rules by making commands. As a prince and potentially being the crown prince of all France he actually has full authority to imprison people he thinks has wronged him. Extortion is at least something that would apply to him in a modern setting, but again, Belle did in fact commit the crimes of trespassing and attempting to free a prisoner, so as royalty he does in fact have the authority over the common folk to demand these things from her.

    • @PrincessofEllabur

At the time, laws were different depending on not only the type of crime committed, but also what kind of ruler the kingdom had. Gazeem would be more likely be beheaded for his crime or worse depending on what the sultan wished (if he was to be cruel).

Also, when the governor rhetoically asked him why the tribe attacked them, Wiggins basically stated that it was because "we invaded their lands, chopped down their trees, and dug up their earth". One thing the video didn't mention about the Enchantress is that she cursed the prince when he was a child. If the song "BE OUR GUEST" is to be taken into account, then they had been under the curse for 10 years, and the curse specified he had until his 21rst birthday and the curse was coming to an end when the movie started. So that meant that the prince had to have been 10 to 11 years old when he was cursed.

Idk about the 2nd movie tho, since the villain is arrested and not considered to be dead. But I can name a few people in the first movie that can go to jail and we’re actually close to doing so. If Beauty and the Beast is set during the late 1700s, there is a chance that it takes place during the French Revolution and/or Robespierre’s Reign of Terror, meaning Beast would be sent to the guillotine for having a mark of nobility (that is if he doesn’t pledge allegiance to the Revolution) along with the other villains in the movie

    I'd also like to see Nickelodeon villains, especially one certain man who canonically could be tried for countless charges of both grand theft and robbery, at least one charge of attempted murder(separately), kidnapping, sexual harassment, unethical experimentation on both animals and humans, voter fraud, corruption, child abuse and at least two counts of attempted filicide.

    I'm gonna make an objection to the kidnapping part for the Beast, he didn't kidnap her, she was imprisoned as an exchange for her father to go free, which kinda knocks the life long of servitude as well. (Not to mention both Belle and her father did trespass onto the Beast's castle. For those who say "they could've not known the castle was occupied or owned" I say this, does the same thing apply to breaking into an abandoned house?)

      That would be collective punishment. An example of such would be The Intolerable Acts, imposed by the British Parliament in response to the Boston Tea Party in December of 1773. Something similar to that could take place, but then again, they were doing this because of Gaston and never realized the Beast wasn’t the monster he was made out to be, so it’s hard to advocate for anything beyond that.

    Here's a thought: Gaston's reduced prison sentence could have come at a cruelly high price. If the court decides that he shouldn't be allowed to work his charms or use his looks & persuasiveness while imprisoned, he could be placed under a unique penalty that both hides his identity and forbids him to speak: could Gaston be the Man in the Iron Mask?

    • @amyli092
      @amyli092 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well that gives his case a whole new perspective... I do feel like the sentence he was given could have been a little harsher considering his attitude and actions towards Belle, and if she were to be put on a witness stand, this would probably effect his sentence even more. His character, no matter how hard he tries to deflect it with charm and brute strength, is just unlikable.

  • @pixiebubbles2628

    I've just gotta say, Beast did NOT kidnap Belle! I'm so sick of this false accusation and narrative about the story. Reminds me of the ignorant narrative against Cinderella. Watch the film again and pay close attention to what's actually said & done.
    Belle's father was imprisoned because he trespassed, a legitimate reason for the Beast to lock him up. Then Belle arrived and offered herself in his place. She made her decision by herself, not by the direction of anyone else or by threats, and definitely not by force! The Beast even HESITATED about taking her offer!
    When the deal was accepted: Belle's father was sent home, and she stayed behind in the dungeon. She expected to sit and rot there, but instead the Beast brought her to a beautiful bedroom just for her. He told Belle she can go wherever and do whatever she wanted in the castle, not including the West wing, and he only had 1 request: She join him for dinner, the same night.
    He never said she'd be doomed to servitude or slavery, and she never lifted a finger as one. The only finger she lifted was to turn a page in a book. A normal, non-royal prisoner wouldn't have that luxury.
    When Belle refused to go to dinner, Beast could've easily ripped out the door, but he didn't. Yes, he yelled & made an irrational demand out of anger, but remember: He's been cursed and isolated in this castle since he was around 11 years old.
    No sign of parents, (most likely given the Disney parent treatment), and his servants are not authoritative enough with the prince to help him grow out his juvenile behavior. He probably stopped getting an education since the curse, and has definitely not been around women in those 10 years leading up. And that behavior includes when he thrashed the furniture and scared off Belle. Because that's what an upset child would do. He might be 21, but Beast is probably still a kid mentally, or at least teenager.
    Also, Belle never tried to change Beast, he changed himself for her! She didn't have the "I can change him" attitude, like in the more idiotic modern romances. Beast does things for Belle, even if he never got anything back, he didn't even expect it. He gave her the entire library and everything in it, because he knew it would make Belle happy. He never forced romance, like Gaston would've done. And Beast set her free when she wasn't happy & understood her need to help her father was most important to Belle, even when it could've meant he never sees her again & definitely him dying still cursed. Beast accepted his death as soon as he made his decision. Belle was his only friend in 10 years, and that's how their relationship was for most of the film: friends. No Stockholm syndrome or forced romance. They were friends first, then became a couple at the very, very end.
    Overall, enough with the kidnapping narrative. Pay attention to the details in the actual story, before making judgment.

    One crime you missed is false imprisonment. Its exactly what it sounds like. Gaston is definitely guilty of it for what he did to bells father. Frollo is guilty of it for confing Quasimodo to the bell tower. And beast is arguably guilty for what he did to bell

    If you read this entire thing and by the end of it you still think she was kidnapped, then you need to read the definition of the word, rewatch the movie and read the definition again cause you clearly weren't paying attention:
    Belle wasn't kidnapped, every choice she made in that movie was a choice she made of her own free will. She actively chose to leave her home to look for her father, she willingly took his place as the beast's prisoner, no one convinced her to it; her father even begged her not to. She chose to return to the castle and help patch up the beast after being attacked by wolves which wouldn't have happened if she didn't willingly go somewhere she was specifically told not to go resulting in her being frightened and running out the castle. The Beast let her go so she could help her father and after almost being taken away to the asylum she raced back to the castle to help him.
