Men aren’t expected to be as involved in the actual care of their infant and toddler children since women are traditionally viewed as caregivers for young children; it’s possible he wasn’t as involved when they were younger therefore wouldn’t miss them as much? Just a thought! But from my perspective as a woman, I’d much rather leave an 8yo than a 3yo!
Maybe it would be easier on him, but wouldn’t it be harder for his wife to take care of an infant and a toddler instead of preteens? Kind of a crazy thing for him to say 😭
