I know this game is intended to play out like a Wattpad story-like fantasy, but to the extent that you must suspend disbelief is incredible. 6:10 makes it very hard to believe that the MC is a college student with 0% understanding of "stranger danger" and the ability to just shrug off all responsibilities to entertain a terrifying person, in college you have virtually no time to do that with how swamped in work and studies you will be! I used to love these kinds of stories when I was younger, and through animation memes I decided to see what this was about, and part of me is torn between nostalgic but the other half is immensely uncomfortable because this type of fiction normalized abusive relationships for me as well as naively looking past 'weird' behaviour (aka MASSIVE RED FLAGS) which caused a lot of grief for me that I'm trying to heal from and spurred me to cultivate healthier behaviours and mindsets within myself. Watching this game is like looking into a strange and uncomfortable window of the past, and is really an eye-opener in understanding my own unhealthy inclinations and gives me the ability to work towards a more self-respecting, knowledgeable, and confident person instead of a carpet to be walked all over.
I'm just over 11 minutes myself, and he really reminds me of one of my ex-boyfriends. He was so freaking adorable and innocent! I'm really attracted to shy, awkward guys, so I was totally pulled into this way too fast 😂😂 Thankfully, I know not to fall for any of this because of everything I've heard about this game lol.
