Degree of a vertex in graph is the number of edges incident on that vertex ( degree 2 added for loop edge). There is indegree and outdegree of a vertex in directed graphs.
going through discrete math right now. Thank you for the explanation! I don't know why American college classes are not shown like this. Where you get a visual that is not just some math equation, or very vague, making it hard to "connect all of the dots" through notes.
Very clear. We like your videos sir. They are just simple and straight forward in such a way that one can get the concept within the very short period of time. The helpful videos. You are one of our favorites tutors. This from University of Malawi
Please make videos on advanced concetps such a detect a loop in graph, union-find algorithm, disjoint set data-structures. I really like the detailed explanation.
Excellent video! thanks! One question though, given the definition of degree as the number of incident edges on a vertex.. does that mean that on a directed graph the degree is also the number of incident edges on a vertex? or the degree (not in nor out) is not defined on a directed graph?
No, degree of vertex is not as same as order of vertex. Degree of vertex shows how many edges are connected to a particular vertex whereas order of vertex shows total number of vertex in the graph.

Universal sink in graph
Undirected graph don't have in degree and outdegree plzz tell me sir 😭😭
Is degree of a vertex the same as an order of a vertex? Do vertices even have an order or only a degree?
No, degree of vertex is not as same as order of vertex.
Degree of vertex shows how many edges are connected to a particular vertex whereas order of vertex shows total number of vertex in the graph.
I llike how the border of the board is the border of the video.
Sir complete graph, hi complete graph same sir
Listen it in 1.5x
How can contact you sir?
