This game was so cool checking in on when I was 14 years old, I remember wondering when the release was gonna be too… I’m 24 now and it’s STILL in the works. A whole new resprite too which feels controversial but it’s just my opinion though. Not gonna lie I kinda lost interest in keeping up with this project and had to do some personal growing up, and I do miss the other mega man x projects and their uniqueness
They swapped at one point from assets largely ripped from the SNES games to hand made ones. This is not a bad thing.
@@AmatsuDarkfyreno, it’s not at all. It’s a very unique take on it. I’m just a retro fan and liked the 16bit look of the original first 3 mmx games, and how they absolutely mastered the original imported 16 bit og style. Doesn’t mean I don’t admire and like their dedication. Maybe after this project they might make something with the old sprites if they haven’t scrapped them lol.
I know for sure it’s something I don’t have time for now and wish I did. I even tried to make my own mega man game too and let me tell you if you don’t know programming, do NOT try it. It’s hard 😂 because of these guys back then I started looking at the mmx style in 16 bit in terms of colors and scales

The Starfish special seems to have a sweet spot associated with it for it to do maximum damage. It also appears to be really good for activating the Charge Blast buildups.
The Hydra Buster tho isn't suited for that Miniboss when the swords are out.
The Hydra Armor & it's Giga attack looks SSSOOO amazing. & the fact just half of that stage & the sub-boss was still a problem from the JBK team itself with the armor confirms I'm gonna be one of those stages I'm a be punching a hole in the walls for...😂😂 The stage so far with everything involving it is seriously spectacular.

Note: Not being negative, but my outlook and small critique on this game :
So, from what I understand this is now the duke nukem forever of fan games? The comments on other vids are stating scathing things, mostly why is it taking so long? I am not being negative, however, 14-15 years development hell just to showcase videos of what looks like a near complete game is beyond odd. This should REALLY be release because it does look amazing.
The difference between 'Duke Nukem Forever' and 'Mega Man X: Corrupted' is, that MMX:C will actually be great. It's the wet dream of every Mega Man X fan, because it caters to all their desires:
-graphics in the style of the SNES games, but better, with stuff from the later games added in, too
-top notch soundtrack and sound design
-X and Zero completely playable, each with their own movesets, exploring an all new metroidvania style open world, with all new enemies and terrain hazards and a bucket of secrets hidden inbetween
-all armors from previos games (except 7 and 8 I think)
-2 completely new armor sets with interchangeable parts.
-elaborate combo system for Zero
-new and cusomizable ride armors
-a level up system with a bunch of skill trees
-an actual story and nsc's comparable to the Mega Man Zero series
And much more, still.
There are still some levels left to do and lots of bug fixing and play testing, but they make steady progress and to my knowledge, all systems are in place. Give it another 1-2 years, maybe. I'm confident they will deliver eventually, and MMX:C may become the best experience for fans of the franchise, yet.
@@NevermindThee Thank you for the fair report of this. It truly does look like it will be something else. Which is why I was initially confused. But would it not be just as good to release it as a trilogy with big and small improvements over time to avoid this?
@@Neobelmont1 That's most likely a jurisdictional problem. Honestly, my miniscule knowledge of that matter is at least 20 years old, so take the following accordingly.
Capcom can't issue a 'cease and desist' until the game is published. If Capcom would decide to do so after an initial release, they could not legally continue to work on MMX:C. No bug fixes, no new features, nothing.
To avoid that risk, they won't publish anything playable until the game is finished, as to not risk all the work put in already.
There is 1h of gameplay though, if you want to see what the first hour of the game will look like, showcasing a lot of the features listed above.
@@NevermindThee Incorrect. They can issue a Cease and Desist at any point released or not, but typically Capcom is very tolerant of fan projects. That said, I imagine that is a factor in the decision making process.
@@Neobelmont1 The game isn't quite complete yet, even though all the clips and the one hour video show a very polished game. We know from the public tracker as far as levels are concerned that there are two Maverick Stages to complete, three Fortress stages and the final stage...and two mysterious ???? stages got added to the tracker recently. The tracker doesn't account for everything though like X's armor sprites, cutscenes, ect.

@stussyswaan basically being able to lock your characters shots in place where you can move left and right and back, but still shoot forward.
I just noticed X jump backwards but still able to shoot forward and that kinda made me wonder if JKB added the ability to lock shots in place lol

No, its probably him jumping back after shooting which makes it looks as if locked onto his enemies
well, this game is pretty big if you ask me, however, is true that this is taking way too long to release, i mean, AM2R took 10yrs to make, 8yrs in the making and 2yrs on crash/bug fixing, point is JKB Games SHOULD post a "hint" or something on when it might release.
That would require JKB to know when it might release, and there's still quite a bit to be made that makes it really unclear to make a guess. You can't really compare AM2R to MMXC's development either...AM2R's dev had a lot of resources he just pulled from the GBA era games..
Welcome to the big advantage of indie development. No deadlines for release.
That it's "taking too long" is not a concern. It'll release when it's ready.
