Cultural Center of the Philippines "Binurda". Christmas Show & Lighting Ft. SB19 and Bayanihan

We attended the Cultural Center of the Philippines' annual Christmas Show and Building Facade Lighting. This year, the theme is called "Binurda", a homage to the colorful tradition of Filipino embroidery.
This year's show brought a tapestry of talents representing genres from classic to pop. SB19 performed their hits together with Bayanihan Dance Company, Men Ensemble Philippines and The Nightingales.
A mash up of Lucio San Pedro's "Sa Ugoy ng Duyan" and SB19's "Mapa", an endearing homage to Filipino parents, brought the house down!

Thank you for sharing this! I'm a senior (64) and a fan of SB19. I'm glad too that they combined our native/cultural songs and dances with the modern songs of SB19 because it's a way to remind those who may have forgotten about them. Three songs of SB19 were featured here: What? (a song about being proud of one's identity or who you are - became a fan (A'Tin) when they released this), MAPA ( a tribute to their parents & to all those who helped them & guided them) & Ligaya (their Christmas song). All these songs were composed by their leader Pablo. Hope you get to discover more about SB19 & their music, they are really inspirational and these young men are very multi-talented but have remained humble and appreciative of their fans in spite of their success. I have attended their 2 concerts at the Araneta this year, which took place on Sept 17 & Dec 18, once you've seen them perform live it's not enough to just watch their videos on YT. Thank you for your comments. The CCP show made me realized how super talented the SB19 boys are. I am now a fan. Will be looking forward to more works and concerts from them in the future.

Paboritong paborito ko tong mga ganitong cultural show. Especially kundiman songs. Sana mag.release sila next year ng awiting angkop sa ating Kultura in a modern taste...kase Alam ko Mga gen.z tong mga batang to. Sigurado ako, manunumbalik ang Mg kantang kundiman.
