That’s amazing efficiency! All that efficiency and it still looks plenty fast, that one is a keeper for sure. I’m loving all these ultra light, super efficient, quiet little power houses. Thanks for another great review!
Definitely would love to see you do a tune video for TP3 as well as a video for a TP3 HD. It's so powerful and efficient that it will definitely be able to take on some additional weight. Probably fly even more like a bigger 5 inch quad with higher weight to throw around. It already flies great in its current form.
I like the fact that you don't put music over your flight videos like all the other reviewers, so you can hear how loud or quiet the quads are when they fly. Kudos Mr. Kim!
Hopefully there's enough interest I like to see a pid tune video on this...also like to get in these rpm filters..this is my kind of build..I'm always looking for efficient builds
This is what im going to get next!!! I love the long flight time!!! Thanks so much for this review! Kababfpv is the Man!!!!!!!!!!!! Great Review And Great Flying!!!!!!!
building mine up right now with betafpv 12a aoi, betafpv 1205 5000kv, eachine micro vtx, xm+, nano 3 and the same 3016 tris. Cant wait! Just need all these storms to blow over!
BigD-FPV I agree! I know he said he was using an onboard DVR but, I was keeping an eye on his goggle DVR in the spilt view and it was rocking out pretty good as well.
Great video on the TP3 , Albert! Love those motors. I fly the TP3 (1303 Fpv Cycle) mainly on 2s and it's awesome on 2s as well (especially since space is a premium here).
One of the best quads I have and love to fly. Wait haha I just got done flying mine like 2 mins ago. Mine has the 1303 motors tho 3s 450. I can get way over 5 mins with mine even when I bring it down at 3.6v per cell. Thunk your the only reviewer that has even built one. Looks good man
I got one of these in progress with almost the exact same parts - the VTX won't power up when connected to the FC, even though it does on the bench when powered from 5V. Maybe the regulator on the FC is toasted? I don't know. Anyway, if it flies so long with the 450mAh, maybe with a smaller battery it would have enough excess power to really thrash. Looking forward to finding out.
I've also just got a tp3. Using 550mah 3s gnb battery, because I had them laying around. You should see if fly. I get 8 minutes of flight time with cruising (rest voltage 3,75v), and 5 min of really hard flying. Just amazing. The handling is so good
Well for one it's one of the lightest whoops out there... running a f4 board with the runcam nano 3 makes it nearly futureproof... perfect for indoor racing (which I would love to do!)... and to add... its freaking awesome looking!
Thanks for doing this review albert. I got one of these and am going to convert my eachine twig over to it. Should be a fun experience. Definitely interested in a video for bf 4.1 setup for this.
Michael Reyes I thought Albert built one already? I’ll have to look back on his channel and see. In any event, I agree and would like to see more reviewers try to do a build off using that system to see if it is really worth it. I’m hoping to see some competition between other manufacturers on that type of board. We have what, 1 company right now making such a true all/everything in one board?
That canopy or rather “camera holder” is one of the best out there, in my opinion, and probably one of the least expensive as well. I bought a half dozen or so from Kabobs FPV cycle site thinking they would probably break fairly easy but, to my surprise they are very strong and to top that they are very light as well. I’m still just a 2 -1/2 year noob but in my experience so far, I’ve learned that Albert and Kabob are honest to a fault. They both always tell it like it is and mostly do it in a professional and respectable manner without burning too many bridges. Well, on second thought kabob has put Caddx on blast more than a few times but, they seem to be responding with better QC bc of it. At least it looks that way.
Historically - a couple years ago when i paid attention to KV testing.... Tmotor always tested at a higher KV than advertised. Emax always tested lower KV that advertised... so i'm not surprised to hear you think the Tmotors are higher KV than expected. RE: amazing flight time.... how old is the battery you tested with ? New batteries always have that magic first few cycles where they seem to last forever... then they seem to drop off and settle in at lower flight times for most their life. This effect is especially noticeable when going from all old batteries in your fleet, to new batteries. Definitely long flight times here though and thats awesome! Great vid, awesome quad! thanks for sharing!
Mr. Kim Very disappointed in my build on this frame. What say you on the bi blade / tri blade options for these motors . I'm considering 1404 for Biblades because my Run Cam Nano2 , heat shrunk GoKu VTX or TBS Nano VTX and Heat Shrunk arms are contributing to an all up weight of like 110g. I'm removing some excess wire today but still VERY VERY frustrating ...
Albert Kim lol yeah I’d assume it would be a tad slower 😝. I’m just wondering the handling of it and how it changes between 2s and 3s. Like my gtb339 I love running 2s mainly bc I only have 2 3s packs and their too big for these new micros but was great on my old tinyhawk r a couple years ago. But anyway the gtb339 on 3s really isn’t much faster than on 2s. Yea top end is a lot higher but the control I get on 2s down low is similar to it on 3s. Was wondering if these 1303’s were similar. Just trying to figure things out for a micro spec class we’re making down here. So far we’re thinking of the diatone gtb339 bc most of ya have one already and running them 2s. Their still plenty fast. I just posted a vid of me tuning mine 2s on falcoX. I don’t really go above about 75% throttle in that vid tho but it’s still movin. 👍👍
Love the performance combined with great flight time. I just would like to see less prop and especially prop hub. Maybe with your HD build it the camera will be pushed up a bit and therefore show a little less prop! I have the 48khz on my Mob6, but not yet on my Diatone Cube229. I'm wondering if you think the 48khz made much difference in the flight time on those motors. My cube has only 1103s of course, and I've seen that joelucid says it makes more difference on smaller motors. Hmmm
Albert, Thank you. How would you compare the efficiency and flight performance with the 1303 5000kv on this TP3 build vs the Brother Hobby 1402 8100KV ? It’s fascinating and fun to push the envelope on these builds. Which motor in your opinion would give best run time vs performance? Thank you again. Very Best Regards, Jim
Hey Albert ! Love your videos!! I have a tinyhawk s and now looking for more power and fun maybe a 3 inch ... what would you recommend?? Should I build this kebabfpv tp3?? Amazing fly time!
The Xing Nano 1105 6000kv is an excellent alternative. Also, check out Taco RC for rock bottom price on the pink and blue RCInPower 1204 5000kv (smooooth af.)
Very nice. For some reason my 5" gets 6-8 minute flights doing freestyle. I and my friends are kind of baffled by the long flight times, but I'm not complaining!
Yes, absolutely. Amaxxino 1103 7500kv make a fantastic build on the modular TP 3 frame, flying on GnB 450mah HV 2S packs. I trimmed weight at every corner for mine, but not because it's imperative. Great performance. In fact it's profoundly easier to wield than a 3S, but still snappy, agile, and flies great indoors.
Dude! Your comments towards the end were priceless. Is it just me? But, do these motors sound eerily familiar? Like, say when you’re in a dentist/oral surgeons chair fix to get a tooth filled. Ha ha ha.... just sayin....?
Albert, How would the brother hobby 1402 8100kv compare to the 1303 5000kv on efficiency and performance? Thanks for your input. This is my next build.
Justin Time now that’s some sick efficiency!! Ha ha ha so efficient it’ll charge your battery while you fly. Must be some of that TESLA regenerative braking going on.🤪
How would these motors compare to the BetaFPV 1204 500kv? I'm building one of these up, but with China shut down, it may be awhile before these motors are back in stock. Thanks for the review!
The 1303 motors are more efficient and a little better control feel below 50% throttle. The 1204 will have more top end speed and a little better acceleration.
Hey, i am planning to build this with the Runcam Hybrid 2. Would you recommend it, or do you think that the camera size and weight would compromise the advantages of the TP3 ? My main concern is finding a good and large enough Canopy for the weird sized Hybrid 2. Any tips?
The extra weight will compromise the TP3 performance and I don't know of any canopy that will work with it. Perhaps everyone knows it won't work on the TP3 so no one has bothered to make a canopy for it.
I have an geprc skip 3 with a 1105 motors, but i'm mind blowed about motors, some people think that 1105 are pretty efficient and then i see this with 1303, and other with 1204. Which advantages has them?
Just a thought: For me the USPS shipping rates pretty much mean the end of looking. I am sure it is a very nice product and Kabab have spent long hours on developing it but to me being in the UK it means a lot of added cost. A replacement arm is also a no for the same reason. Hopefully some UK store will be selling it soon(?).
WTH - too funny! Did you fly without Jazz to see if that swaps some power for efficiency? Could shave some weight by using an Eachine VTX without DVR. Frankly I wasn’t impressed by my recorded footage with Runcam nano 3. Might just make that swap myself. Goggle footage is good enough for me. I may just have to try this!!! Cheers.
Can someone provide me a betaflight config dump for this model? Built mine but having issues with it flipping even though the board orientation/ prop directions are correct. Thanks
Do the motor directions match the props? Quads flip over if the board is not oriented correctly, prop are on wrong, motors are going in the wrong direction. It's one of those.
It certainly looks that way but, I think it’s a matter of bad timing right now. The Chinese New Year being a 3-4 week holiday combined with the Corona-virus outbreak has slowed things down considerably. Hopefully, the Chinese people can rebound quickly so that all of us FPV Kwad lovers can get our fix.
Oh, nice! Where can I buy your frame? Would love to build one. What motors? Whats the AUW? I saw an insightful comment on Furadi's first toothpick video. He built a small "toothpick,"quad, 3" or maybe smaller, but it was a chunky little thing. The comment pointed out that what makes a "toothpick," is not just building a small quadcopter, but that the real/unique TP experience was unlocked by actually using the specced parts, and a heiving an AUW somewhere in the specified range. This sweet spot delivers a unique, and noteworthy flying experience. Anything outside of spec is, well, just a small drone. And while 3" seems to be the sweet spot, recall that this evolved from the original concept of making a small frame that one could migrate all the parts from a bl whoop onto, making a stealthy pocket park flyer, with high performance. Instead of being bitter about a scenario that you may be over simplifying, build one up, to spec, and then share your informed opinion. For me, this is all about having fun . Im making the assumption that it's the same for you. If that's true, build one of these, for real. Order a Chinese clone frame if that makes you feel better. Just make sure you aren't leaving on the table, the potentially profound experience of what is likely pinacle moment in this niche of the hobby. I genuinely would appreciate any resources you could share, that would help me replicate one of your past designs/builds. Cheers- Listen, I believe you when you suggest you were out front with cutting edge micro/nano builds, long before the hyped up movement of today, and Im going to your channel with the sincere mission of gathering the info i need in order to build/replicate one for myself.
After ldark et115 I brought darwinfpv baby ape and run it on 2s (2s 550 mah battery from et115.) I had the same feeling 😂 after flew almost 9 min on it. Tried old 1000mah 2s and flew 12min. So yes I understand the feeling 😂
Im assuming you refer to their aesthetic. You can build it to look how you want, while still staying reasonably within spec. Ive built 8 of these, all different styles, none of them look like this one, and none use that bee canopy. (I really dont like that bee canopy lol.) A couple look absolutely fierce, imo, especially my waterproof one (an all black creature.) If youre interested, I can upload and share my builds.

I like this one. My friend gave me the frame. I'll be building one in time!
Fantastic flying, Albert! Really nice!!! 😃
This little quad seems fun as hell! 😃
Wow that’s an amazing flyer , I’m here for the tune video too
Parts are on the way thanks for sharing 👍
waoo!!! that 's the key, fly time. This is awesome, thanks for sharing 😍
Always wanted a toothpick class quad but the sub-5min flight times were a no go, this is brilliant!
Cheers, from one Leaf FPV pilot to another! :)
Dang, that’s impressive. I literally just finished my primo 3 build, and you just convinced me that I have to have the TP3 in my stable too!

Thinking about building one of these. Can it be flown on 2s with those motors? Looking for something tame for the yard.
Yes, 2S works too. It will still be fast for a yard.

cant find these TMotors in 1303 anywhere

Hey Albert ! Love your videos!! I have a tinyhawk s and now looking for more power and fun maybe a 3 inch ... what would you recommend?? Should I build this kebabfpv tp3?? Amazing fly time!

The voltage sensor is calibrated right so that voltage sag is correct.

Awesome!! 🤩🤗 i would love to see a hd toothpick in this size :/ but for now i stay with my whoop
Cheers.
I'm running 24khz, so it's basically the same as 16.7 just bidirectional dshot has been enabled for RPM filter.
Unibody for the win. #neverbrokearmclub
Please sell me one Albert fantastic looks awesome 👏🏼
this one is a keeper... sorry!
Albert Kim I wouldn’t sell either but I will have to build one damn happy flying Albert
rofl it stays at 11.2 or .3 for like ever. This thing flys great can't wait to see hd tp. Just cruising you could have flown 10 or 12 minutes.
Agree it's a great concept/drone but they can't keep parts in stock on the website! 😭
Doing this since 2016... old news looks like he finally “borrowed” the 3”
Oh, nice! Where can I buy your frame? Would love to build one. What motors? Whats the AUW?
I saw an insightful comment on Furadi's first toothpick video. He built a small "toothpick,"quad, 3" or maybe smaller, but it was a chunky little thing. The comment pointed out that what makes a "toothpick," is not just building a small quadcopter, but that the real/unique TP experience was unlocked by actually using the specced parts, and a
heiving an AUW somewhere in the specified range.
Cheers-
Listen, I believe you when you suggest you were out front with cutting edge micro/nano builds, long before the hyped up movement of today, and Im going to your channel with the sincere mission of gathering the info i need in order to build/replicate one for myself.
More flight time = more time to crash.
Most everything is sold out! WTH
China New Year
After ldark et115 I brought darwinfpv baby ape and run it on 2s (2s 550 mah battery from et115.) I had the same feeling 😂 after flew almost 9 min on it.
Tried old 1000mah 2s and flew 12min.
So yes I understand the feeling 😂
😁
I love the thought of these, but they look so weak
Im assuming you refer to their aesthetic. You can build it to look how you want, while still staying reasonably within spec. Ive built 8 of these, all different styles, none of them look like this one, and none use that bee canopy. (I really dont like that bee canopy lol.) A couple look absolutely fierce, imo, especially my waterproof one (an all black creature.)
If youre interested, I can upload and share my builds.
"Only things I soldered on were the camera... the video transmitter... and the receiver... and the motors..."
So uh, everything?
