- While asking people to sing in New York City, I met Astrid and her brother. When Astrid agreed to sing, she had no idea we were recording a video. She starts to notice the cameras and asks “Are you going to record this?” To which I say “We’re thinking about it.” She doesn’t let this news of camera stop her. The music starts, and she starts singing right there!

Seriously, Reggie repeating the words in Swedish back to this couple in "perfect Swedish" is a reflection of his outstanding ear.. that also let's him pick up music like no one I've ever seen. An amazing musician. And Astrid is a talented young woman.

I was told that I could use ear training. I googled it but really didn’t come up with anything. Just curious if you had any suggestions since you mentioned Reggie has a good ear.
He's a master at listening and making people herd
It takes most people months to get the pronunciation perfect like that, also, not a couple, siblings😅.
Reggie there need's to be more people in this world like you. You really are an exceptional human being what you do for people getting them to release everything inside of them though a song it's life changing. I have never once wanted to sing infront of anyone but I think I need to after watching every one singing with you. If you're ever in New Zealand reach out it would honestly be my new dream come ture to sing with you brother.
Reggie has advanced people skills in addition to extraordinary music game. He is always patient, humble and kind. A good soul.

Coming from a family of musicians (not me though, I ended up with the math/science brain part,) I was really impressed with him listening to her song and picking up the notes. I know good guitarists can do that but still it was nice to see it live in the moment.

I've been playing the guitar for years but no way in hell can I pick up some random song I've never heard before and then after one listen play it back perfectly. It's not as easy as some people might think but this guy makes it look effortless. A very gifted individual.
Im not so sure it was one listen...she helped him with the d sharp so she mighta helped him with some other chords...hes very gifted im not trying to take anything away from him i just dont think he heard once and played it perfectly...towards the end of him learning it looked like he was trying to find the right chord and she kinda just said thats close enough lets do this...its a little nitpick im sorry

@@RA82828 i wouldnt say its a negative, i was just pointing out whats in the video, in the video she literally helps him find the chord, and he can't find one of the chords so he asks her if another chord is a good substitute, it was just a nitpick by me.
I hope the Swedish girl continues with her music, it’s all there, she just needs to keep developing her style and theme, it was great I loved it.

@@nusstu Swedes learn English young. Going by her age, she probably started in like 3rd grade or something like that. I believe kids today start even earlier than that. I would be surprised if she needed google translate for a single line in that song.

@@colatf2 of course anything is possible. But it's not like phrases like "eat my brain" are common in Swedish. My guess is the word she might have been looking for was consume, but that probably didn't fit so she went with the synonym, eat. And that made it a bit weird. But personally I think that those kind peculiarities makes lyrics more interesting.

4/2023.........Wow! That Swedish woman sung like an angel, all her own music, and Yay Reggie nailed the guitar music perfectly. It was a beautiful moment, and it made me so happy. I'm continually surprised and impressed that so many people can sing so well. Just delightful. Kudos from a 70 year old man, in Ohio. Way to go Reggie, I have been enjoying all your posts!
