recently i bought this bike..in terms of comfort best bike, pillion comfort not so good. after 1st service i did a full tank test to a ride of 550 kms . it gives me 51kmpl. i thought max 45 but it gave very well being a such hevy bike.i rode this bike 65 to 70kmph with pillion and load. tyre pressure was 28f 32r.. i filled up the tank from a indian oil pump with two packs of addon addictive. i never jerk my bike i never harsh my drive skill it was so smooth and my driving accelaration style is so liniar i never open throttle suddenly for jerking pickup.. and after all i love my bike so much may be thts because it is giving in city 45kmpl and long 50+. generally i ride bikes in 80 to 90 but its a new bike i never pushed it beyond 70..and for a 160cc air cooled bike 80kmph is the maximum sweet speed for cruising in highway ..now my beautifuul bike is clocking 2100kms on odo.
I keep tyre pressure of 21f & 25R as per user manual, is it fine ? I have ridden 1700kms it just gives milage of 40kpl . My riding pattern is similar to yours
@@kunalshah2331 no bro..i dont know why bajaj dont update their manuals..look avanger has a very high profile rear tyre ..coming to 'profile' see its rear tyre is 130/90/15 though it has a 15 inch aloy wheel it has 90percent of 130 thats why it looks very musculer compare to other bikes 130segment tyre..avenger has a higher cluster angle that means its front wheel is far away than its rear wheel for greater wheelbase . thats why company prefer for 21 25 combination to reduce the jerking of road and tendency of chasis bending..now avenger was launched back in 90s as kawasaki eleminator..now buddy think abot the road condition of india in 90s. there was very rare road in which u can cruise at 80 in those days so many potholes..may be thats because company give so low tyre prressure. but today our india has devolopoed so much in terms of road that also in rural or urban or expresshighway.
im giving u tips always fill your tyre in morning or cool condition front 28 rear 30..it will be increased a little when it will roll for long time..

add petrol from new stations as bs6 no need to fill xtra premium u will see no diff.
but u add one pack of addon addictive in every 5ltr or 500rs petrol. and also lube your chain.
start ur engine after pump noise gone while switchin on because at that time fi pump got reset .. for longevity of pump.
u will definitely get above 45.
bajaj also says u have to change engine oil at every 10000kms.never ever do that mistake. In 2nd service it is recommended by manual after 4500kms no need to oil change just top up never do that.
its a marketing strategy if u love ur bike u want long term reletionship then change oil at every 3000kms max in bajaj dtsi...after clockng 10000kms in odo change to motul 7100fully syntehetic and then u can chnge the oil after every 5000kms. but not with the bajaj dtsi 20w50...its a semi synthetic oil

Yes i use the motul chain lube and spray to clean & lube the bike .. also do u recommend any other chain cleaning methods ?
it is advisable to continue all further services at bajaj official service centers only ? Or at local mechanic
@@kunalshah2331 u can clean ur chain by disel and not by kerosine..kerosine has a property to disolving metal, but u can use disel. yes if ur bikes odo is 4000+ u can do 2nd service..
but never go to the local mechanic it will void ur warranty. look there are so many things that u can avoide in manual like tyre pressure or u can told to the service station that no need to top up change the full engine oil it will not be void warranty even after 10000kms in odo u can use motul 7100 by the service stations they also recomended this oil but the grade should be same 20w50..coming to local mechanic they just didnt know anything about bs6 bikes trust me..bs6 bike run by software totally.it has a ecu look like pc ram..i have a old palsar also very simple just fuel coming from tank via pipe go to carburator burn in engine and become smoke thats it. but now bike has 6 to 8 types of sensors monitoring everything even smoke via o2 sensor . totaly digital system..now if u go to local mechanic and he just opeen the clutch cover it will void warranty the servicestation is so clever the check every thing before giving warranty. u just have to do time to time service oil change filter cleaning thats it u will not face any problem.

I have latest BS6 street 160 model. More than 2000 km. run. No issues performance wise. Satisfied with this models. Avoid rough rides and follow Owners manual. There will be no problem. 👍

bought this bike last year...and at 1500 km ride, throttle body gone, clutch plate gone and bike is not picking up nor going above 30-40 km/hr speed. total waste of money 😢😢😢
