I am telling you As somebody who grew up in Daugavpils If only it wasn't right on the edge far away from everything and ethnical minority dominated (by that I mean it is very different from the surrounding areas which has caused a lot of internal discourse about the future of Daugavpils and created this aura of beeing this weird outsider place) city it could be one of the best cities in Baltics But sadly because of location and history with Russia and subsequent weird development process of Daugavpils has been completely forgotten This mind you is second largest city in Latvia
Latvia is a country in Northern and Eastern Europe, and one of the three Baltic states. It has a 500 km coastline on the Baltic Sea, more than 3,000 lakes, and 12,000 rivers. Over half of Latvia's land is covered by forests
Such a tiny, overlooked area, but absolutely stunning! Makes you wonder how many hidden gems like this go unnoticed. Incredible job capturing its beauty in this video!
Latvia is a hidden gem in Europe, with stunning landscapes and rich history! Each destination offers a unique appeal that leaves every traveler spellbound. Can't wait to explore These wonderful places!
@@wolfganggottsch4454 You said it perfectly! Latvia really does have that magical mix of nature and history. Exploring those landscapes is unforgettable-can't wait to hear more about everyone's experiences there! 🌍✨
What a great video! Thanks! I have been in most places, but from the height some of them look stunning!!! My country is really beautiful! Just adding some interesting facts. 5. National Library - local's formed human chain to get all the cultural values to a new building. 11. Not a word about Sigulda's Luge and Bobsleigh track... Hosts many competitions during winter.
Beautiful! Problem is there are five regions in Latvia: Vidzeme, Kurzeme, Zemgale, Sēlija and Latgale. And what about Jelgava - the largest city in Zemgale? Baron Byron's Palace, known as Jelgava academy, which was built by the same Rastrelli architect; Peter's Academy, the Trinity Church, st. Anna's Lutheran church, River Walk Park and much more...
Thank you for your comment and for pointing that out! We apologize for not including Ventspils in the video. It’s indeed a beautiful and authentic city, and we’ll make sure to include it in future content. 🥹🥹
I loved your video. Very informative and also covering several locations usually tourists do not go. Well done & greetings from Latvia! 🤩 P.S. Yes, there are some spelling mistakes and some other things as said in few comments from some native people (to be honest - sometimes Latvian mentality is about "we are not a tourists, we are the aggresive natives" 😂😁🤪). Just do not take it personally - I have a feeling that you did your best. So, thank you for that! 💓
Thank you for your kind words and thoughtful feedback! 🌟 We're thrilled you enjoyed the video and appreciated the effort to highlight less-visited locations. It's always our goal to offer a fresh perspective, so your encouragement means a lot. 😊 Greetings back to beautiful Latvia, and thank you again for watching and supporting our work! 🤩
Thanks for the video , although it has a few mistakes. While talking about Aglona basilic you showed part of the Daugavpils fortress complex , including museum of Mark Rotko. There's one thing latvians would never understand - why English speaking people pronounce town and geographical spot names according to English alphabet. For instance if you want it to sound corectly Gauja river should be then pronounced as Gauya and Jurmala as Yurmala. Also I got puzzled about phrase in Saulkrasti segment : ''Breathtaking view of the ocean''. Which ocean ? 😯 As regards to Latvia's manors and castles you could chose much more significant and much more well preserved ones ,such as Cesvaine , Jaunmoku pils, Jaunpils, Durbe castle in Tukums, Kukšu manor etc. And talking about Sigulda you forgot to mention about the unique Bobsleigh and Skeleton track which hosts European and World cup competitions, incuding that Sigulda at last is an important winter sports centre.
oh, cmoon! Not possible to cover everything in 1 video. And regarding the spelling of geographical names- just think of you spelling all the locations, person names etc. in perfect English as non native English speaker... :)
Is this an AI made video? Comments are repetitive and misleading. THE IS NO OCEAN IN LATVIA!!!!!! You talk about Aglona, but the video ir from Daugavpils. The video it self is beautiful, but the text is written by a ten year old! Why waste such great video?
It is really nice video, thank you, but Saulkrasti and breathtaking view of the ocean? Whaaaaaaat???!!! 😨😨😨 There are quite a lot of mistakes. Talking about Ķemeri and showing Amatciems (place close to Cēsis), Saulkrasti and view of the ocean? Latvia and the ocean? And, please, take a look at pronunciation of the places, before making the videos. It's tough for Latvian ears.
You aren't at school. Stop criticism ! They don't have to learn Latvian language. Be happy they showing your country. Good they don't know about the bad economic they didn't meet poor people who don't have bread at home. Also they don't know about bad political situation, coming bankruptcy of two international projects.
*Latvia is a great country! in many respects it is a leader in Europe! for example: HIV, abortion, alcoholism, smoking, unemployment, extinction, lowest standard of living, suicide.*
Loool… sure krembot!… compared to miserable russia is a paradise for sure, as russia is the country in the world with the most horrible demografic decline and the a horribly low life expectancy !… in russia there aren’t even statistics for many of thise problems and HIV and Covid had not treatment !… anyway, stay in russia in the company of all other beggars, endless biolence and vodka!…much better there!…😂

Thank you for sharing your feedback. I understand that seeing places from an aerial perspective can be unsettling for some viewers, especially those with acrophobia. Your point about wanting to experience the streets from a human's point of view is valid, and it’s important to consider the comfort and preferences of all viewers. I appreciate your thoughts and will keep them in mind for future content.
Absolute bullshit! Acrophobia affects only 0.0002% of the world's population, and everyone else is normal and enjoys watching videos of bird's eye views!

Wheres the castle of Cesvaine?
😥😥
0:28 That map is from the interwar period?!?!
Let us check
Are all the places mentioned accessible by public transport?
Sorry, we are not sure about this information.
yes they are, public transport is very cheap and has regular service, train and bus tickets are only a couple euros single way
Most of them, but more remote places has very rare traffic

In Latvia, you need to be careful, because you will be fined €30 for stopping at a shopping center, €100-1000 for being by the sea
Thank you for that. New tourist will definitely appreciate you 🥰
