7:22 I think the way she does this vocalization part is much more fitting than in the original. In the original it's "Na na na" which is a very pop music thing and doesn't feel like it fits the epic sound of the song. Aurora's vocalizations feel more like nature.
a little fun fact. This is her first performance without her jelly fish hair! The night before, I attended her concert in Copenhagen, where Aurora had a girl from the audience to help her cutting the last reminders of the long strands of
Camilla wasn’t available for this so they asked Aurora since she contributed a lot of vocals to the Frozen Planet II soundtrack. I do think this song fits Aurora better even though Camilla was very good as well. I need to watch Frozen Planet II because the few shots they showed here looked amazing.
i also love orchestral music so there’s nothing better than orchestra with Aurora's vocals in it, its the perfect combo, that angel voice with the violins and everything, simply lovely
I share your enthusiasm for this entire project! Such a grand performance, fitting for something like Frozen Planet II. Aurora is a pretty big part of the soundtrack (vocalizing), and it's definitely worth owning. And the series is a great watch, as you know. They knocked it out of the park again. My one small complaint about this is her vocals get drowned out a bit at times. Fabrice recently created a version with enhanced vocals, that you should definitely check out. The only bad thing about that version is it doesn't have the intro and outro, so you miss that personality you talked about, that we all love so much.
I watched that one right after. I decided to go with this one because so many people said not to miss the beginning and end lol it sounds music better in the enhanced audio one but overall she sounded amazing
Close to the perfect video clip. The majestic music of Hans Zimmerman exquisitely played by the BBC Symphony Orchestra, Camila Cabello's haunting lyrics brought to life by Aurora, amazing natural scenes from the incomparable BBC documentary unit with the iconic voice over from global treasure Sir David Attenborough, presented to a mesmerised audience at the Royal Albert Hall. Ending with an exit from the stage that only Aurora can make.
My understanding, is that it's Aurora's vocals that are used on the actual soundtrack. I think Aurora's performance was epic here, and I just loved the conductor, running after her, to bring her back. Natural history is my thing, and I've actually talked with camera people who've worked on the big David Attenborough series, and I've even guided one around on a BBC production (the director was a dick, and I didn't get credited for my work). But I do have my name in the credits of another BBC natural history programme, but not a David Attenborough one. I've never met him, although I have met other BBC natural history presenters.
Lovely Ashlena! I love this Frozen planet 2 music. So much atmosphere and emotion and Aurora show her extremely beautiful vocalisation in the hole album. Love your Aurora tuesdays
Aurora is performing at The Royal Albert Hall in London on Wednesday, the 2nd of October 2024. That is going to be something special I'm sure. Norwegian art-pop superstar AURORA makes her debut headline performance at the Hall this autumn. Aurora's vocalizing can be heard on 21 of the 30 something tracks on the BBC Soundtrack for Frozen Planet 2. Her voice and Hans Zimmer's music...just delightful.
David Attenborough had his 98'th birthday a few days ago..... 98.... my father was 90 the day before.... In my mind: to do anything with BBC and David Attenborough is the biggest honor in all TV production... To hear his voice and Aurora... so so so powerful...!
@@ashlenamusic having daughter buy me for Philadelphia....bday, fathers day and Xmas gift. Headphones are mandatory listening to her.....but in a concert venue her voice is absolutely beautiful. But as you once said....she uses alot of bass. Wait until you hear and feel her and the band use that in concert. You will realize that certain songs are actually pretty aggressive sonically. Churchyard is good example. I disliked The River...just not into her more poppy structured songs. But I'm hoping she plays it. It was a physical experience the way the prechouros dropped out..... The clearness in her softer or acoustic vocals.....in a concert venue. Professional sound systems....it's well worth the price of admission. Just giggle along with her when she forgets the lyrics ( or even what she was just talking about) lol. I still can not believe that she has that voice.
Yea it is just amazing. BTW: Aurora also contributed her vocals in most of the instrumental songs for Frozen Planet 2 (but not words just her vocalizing with music). In this performance she was asked to do this because Camila was not available and Aurora was between her concerts and just take a fly and make this (and very good that she made this as it is amazing :) ). Ps. I also like Aurora version better and of course did not hear Camila live version only studio one. Both are cool, but Aurora is Aurora (almost like mother nature ;) ). Ps2. I also like David Attenborough speaking voice, very pleasant.
I am going to turn 76 later this month, and even though I am a man, each and every time I watch this performance my eyes fill with tears, I'm not sure why. Perhaps it is because I know how important the preservation of our planet is to her, and this, in my mind, is her tour de force of all her songs about nature and humankind. I do not think this is the last of what we will hear, and see, of her regarding our planet. She just spent time at the U.N., along with other artists inviting each of them to incorporate the sounds of nature into one of their songs. Aurora's creation is A Soul With No King. For a pleasant change, listen to Aurora singing a Norweigan song in her native voice. th-cam.com/video/ZsKoKKKJUDM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=QH9akHUwY26Fx2We
At the end, she left the stage and had forgotten to give praise to the orchestra. That is why the conductor chased after her. He needn't have worried though as the orchestra was not upset as you can tell by their laughter. Wouldn't it be great if somehow it were possible for someone to take control of all TV broadcasting and air this performance on every TV in every nation? A wake-up call, so to speak.
I think the recording of the vocals is off. Someone that was there live said Auroras vocals were way more forward. I think the live mix they did for the recording is off.
If mother earth has a voice, it is Aurora 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍
Agreed
She is a fairy woodland spirit in human form
Hans zimmer and Aurora was honestly a crossovers I didn’t expect to see when I discovered it. This man really has done everything.

I wonder what Camilla was up to lol
OMG, David A. have the best talking voice and is the king of nature. And Aurora is the queen of nature, so this is just perfect!! ❤
Aurora is performing in Toronto on December 2nd tickets are available from Wednesday ❤️
Can't wait!
When she sings Take me back home the first time and her voice gets lower/deeper sounds amazing ❣️ She not often goes that low.
i also love orchestral music so there’s nothing better than orchestra with Aurora's vocals in it, its the perfect combo, that angel voice with the violins and everything, simply lovely
Does she have some Norwegian winter in her voice? The could not be a better match of music, theme and voice.
Aurora knocked this outa the park! Amazing!!

David Attenborough grew up in my city
Nice!!!
❤❤
btw Attenborough ends with a soft "a" not an Oh sound, Attenburra. He's English, not American and a National Treasure.
Oh I’m well aware he’s English lmao I’m Canadian so apologies for messing up the accent
❤
Add Stephen Fry to the voice to welcome you to the afterlife options. Great reaction Ashlena.
If Stephen Fry welcomed me...I would know I ended up in the right place 😇
Hahaha truth
Great reaction 🦋🦋🦋
Thanks 💯

most likely
👍😍😍🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️
What if you got to the pearly gates of heaven and you suddenly heard the voice of Gilbert Gottfried? Lol
Hahahaahahaha
This might be contraversial, but I haven't heard an Aurora cover that I didn't like more than the originals.
...I might be biased, though lol
So true!
You love Aurora? You'd pick Aurora over another singer? You are silly?
We new content, not things we already know 🤣
