Great video Alex . My father was a stretcher bearer in the NZ forces serving in North Africa WW2 . He Brought back a lot German and Italian items . Unfortunately it was all stolen or lost by his family .
Now that it is Christmas we reflect back on the past year and here so i want to thank you for making these very informative videos on militaria collectables for us to watch! I really enjoy your channel and the best way to say it is you always review and show us a big selection of items. From German items to Japanese items. As a Japanese militaria collector myself i really enjoy this type of content! Thanks for this beautifull year of knowledge, we are still learning❤😁🤜
The kanji on the signature of this sword, per the NBTHK paper, reads KOZUKE KAMI YOSHIKUNI The straightness of the blade that he refers to is something called the 'Kanbun sugata', blades made around the time of Kanbun period (1661-1673) often have little curvature. I've been to the Allentown show a couple times, the last time in 2022. It would have been fun to take a look at that one if I were there this time around. Nice video! Love when a militaria show video shows more than just the WWII German stuff.
I have a WWII German paratrooper cap pin that was given to me almost 50 years ago by my WWII veteran uncle. Do you know where I can get it authenticated and determine its possible value? I haven't been able to find out much about it other than if it is authentic (and I believe it is), it is extremely rare.
The M3 fighting knife is correct.. the leather sheath only came with the Blade dated model.. that composite sheath came later on with the blade marked and guard marked models which is what that was.. this guy who is selling this military memorabilia got it wrong…!!!
Great history. I want to thank all the German veterans then and now. The good and the bad. We have learned from the wickedness and evil perpetrated from the Germans: not only have we learned from them but in a sick kind of way we adopted or sanctioned german actions, brains and ingenuity via operation paperclip.

M3 fighting knife adopted the M8 scabbard in 1944 up grading the M6 leather scabbard.
