OH MY GOD the timing of you releasing this video is impeccable! I just broke my hoops today and over the past week, so was shopping around for new ones, and I knew i wanted to get into twin hoops/maybe even quads. You and another hooping idol of mine use 28" 5/8 tubing so that's it! Those are the magic numbers! Thanks

Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge in such a sweet, easy-to-listen way. I have been wanting to try twin hooping, and I now feel I have the knowledge needed to purchase a set of twin hoops and give it a try. You are a delight to listen to, and I thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge. Thank you!!!!

Hi Sarah. I have only been hooping for 7 months. I bought some psi quite heavy tubing to make some on body hoops. I decided to make 2 x 33 inch hoops out of what was left to have a go at twin hooping. I was intrigued and then bought some 2 cm poly pro tubing to make some lighter hoops. After that I bought some 1.5 cm poly pro tubing to make some more doubles hoops. My doubles sizes: 30 inch - 1 set 2 cm thick, 1 set 1.5 cm thick. 2 x Kiddie hoops bought in a shop: 25 inches x 2 cm thick, and with some left over poly pro 2 cm thick I made 2 x 22 inch hoops. The 2 x 30 inches I use the most. My favourite is the 1.5 cm thick like yours but I like to use both to practice with. I found the smaller hoops very useful for learning twin moves such as the 3 beat weaves, windmill, fountain and thread the needle. I found it useful to just try the small hoops when I wasn't getting it and for those moves I would first get the move properly with the smaller hoops. I would like to progress into doing on body doubles or even triples but that is a long way off so I think I should make a lighter 32 or 33 inch hoop to do this. I would say to anyone who thinks doubles looks too hard or that they enjoy on body too much to just buy a couple of sets. I love them and I think the good thing about doubles is that you can just pick them up if you want and don't have to change into exercise clothes.

Thank you so much! This info was so helpful :). I bought 22" minis a couple of months ago but I've seriously struggled with them, to the point where I thought I'd never be able to work with twins. I'm going to upgrade to 26". Also, please move to the UK and be my hoop mama

Where do I find the Cassie McKinney shrink-wrap hula hoops I am so intrigued to get me some cuz I don't like tape tubes for the rigidness

Great video! Never tried mini's but they look fun. On body is my thing. But think for Christmas I'll go w/twins in 31" & 25"'s. Don't have any 5/8's yet but I like how you said they both fit in you're palm together, that makes really good sense! Thanks!!

Thank you for putting this up! I recently upgraded from a 'kids toy' hoop to a polypro and an HDPE. I was saving up for an LED next (maybe birthday) but i think I'll get twins before that after I discovered your channel! Haven't seen twin hooping as much on any of the other beginner hoopers tutorials. Your channel is a goldmine! ✨ The symmetical moves are so soothing. And asymmetrical so freeing. 🌼
I tried doing a few moves using 2 from my existing 3 but they're all different sizes and weights :(
Do you have any thumb rules for off body twins sizing (like for begginer waist hooping - floor to belly button, wedgies /crotch trap - floor to below crotch) like say wrist to armpit?
while doing ISOLATIONS, the 30 inch Polypro goes all over the place. 34 inch HDPE feels solid and balanced but can't sustain the strength for long.
I'm worried a 24/26 polypro would be toooo light. Do you think HDPE would be a good alternative? Haven't come across ANYONE using HDPE off body twins so maybe I just have to practice with the lighter ones? 😅
