Sorry Georgie I paid not a blind bit of notice to you as you planted your incredibly healthy seedlings because the birdsong was just simlpy DELIGHTFUL! Obviously testament to your and Fabrizio efforts to work with nature and boy has it paid off. BRAVO!
Can I say how much I love when you say a word in an American accent occasionally. As an American who likes to throw in a British word (especially when gardening since I've learned so much from British gardeners), I find it hilarious to hear the reverse. 😂
I love the watering system . I saw it in operation in your sweet pea patch. Simplicity works best for me. Thank you for the tour with all the interesting meadows and plantings!
"You can only make a garden very very slowly." Best quote ever! After my very very long winters here in Canada I always feel like the hare wanting to rush rush and foolheartedly race to have an established garden evolve in one season. But it is just that, a waiting game of suspense and surprise. The visions of what will be during the journey can be such a source of joy and motivation. I hope you continue to enjoy the fruits of your labors, it's easy to forget the excitement one had before the visions took shape. Take time to smell the roses is so simple a phrase yet it speaks to our natural source of being. Thanks for sharing.
Planting in blocks is how my mind works ,I think the trays supporting the seedling starts until planted out is genius! Less work less disturbance.your garden is delightful!
You're such a normal fun easy going person, I really enjoy watching and listening to you talk about the garden and how excited you get..it really is a slow process, im trying to plant a few things each year and not get carried away..thanks for the reminder, cheers
Thanks for your ecological tips for growing beautiful plants. It’s like having a best friend in England. I agree…I’ve said for years that people need to understand the meaning of enough. I’m starting a flower farm business this year.
I started my "Honesty Stand" on Easter and so far my "enough" is a couple of bouquets a day. I am a semi-retired jewelry designer so I design my garden in the style I have developed for my jewelry.....flowing curves and constant color. Most beds have something blooming 10-11 months of the year. My stone of choice is Boulder Opal with intense colors or Sapphire in all its many colors so I love the craziest parrot tulips and have 93 varieties of tall Bearded Iris. Because of this I appreciate your wisdom -- the more it looks like a garden the less efficient it is to farm. Our only real pest other than farm animals is the gopher so I have learned to use wire bottomed beds. I scatter them as if it were a hand of cards bumped on the way to laying them down and have winding paths. My enough will not make much money but....
Totally agree with the "what is your enough" I am an interior designer but I am also an artist and I love gardening. I don't want to paint full time and I don't want to garden full time but I do want to incorporate both micro businesses into my available work time. The answer for me is this. I give myself four months to complete a painting. The last one was 50 times sitting down at it for about 15 minutes a time so definitely not full time. That's three paintings to sell per year. I have a micro urban flower farm that I gave myself a projected goal of $s averaged out over the year. Those things subtracted off of my yearly $ goal gives me the number of days a week I do interior design. I am really enjoying this three way income.
Thank you for such a beautiful tour of your garden - crabapple blossom is glorious. Lovely to see the fruits of your labours coming to fruition. Hope you made time for chocolate as well during your four day break!
I love watching your videos they're SO inspiring! Thank you for my book it arrived today (ahead of schedule, where do you all find the time??) I was thrilled to find you'd signed it. A great read already! Sending you sunshine 🙂
I love fabritzio's irrigation!! I love seeing alternatives to anything regular if that makes sense....doesn't have to be pretty as long as it does the job !!! Ofcourse your garden is beautiful....please don't take it negative... I was also wondering how much rainfall your receive on average every year ?
You live in a paradise! Thank you for the tour. Love the daffodils under the trees!

Thank you...you give me inspiration to keep adding gardens to my flower farm....its just enough for me to grow slowly and enjoy the journey!
Enjoy!
Hang on… I love that bit of hedge woven into arches! Are those apple trees? Gorgeous!
They are John Downie crab apples woven into arches x
@@theflowerfarmer 😍
I’ve got 11 trays I’m sowing today. I use soil blocks, mass sowing and cell trays. Just depends on the seed.
sounds great x
Loved this !!!
thank you x
Thank you Georgie, l needed that. Feeling a bit lost and lacking direction! You’ve motivated me to really sit and think about what is enough?
You are so welcome! it's a great way to think x
I love your church comment 💕✨🥰
We’ll it’s what I think x
I love to listen to you. I find everything you say so interesting. It must mean we have “common” interests! Birds of a feather...
Ah Thankyou x

Thankyou x
Love your garden and perspective! It’s cold here in MN USA. Looking forward to the flowers to come!
Possible frost here tonight - I’m holding my breath…
Lovely! Thank you for sharing!
Any time x

Ofcourse your garden is beautiful....please don't take it negative...
I was also wondering how much rainfall your receive on average every year ?
The drip system works a treat - we get a lot of rain in the winter and not enough in the summer x
When you mow your beautiful emerald paths do you let the clippings go onto your flower rows ?
a bit - and a bit mulched in as we go x
How do you choose what to grow in the tunnel ?
good spring wow factor x
Your beds look closer to 2 to 2.5 feet wide....is that correct ?
They started out a metre wide - sometimes we redig them x
How did Common Farm get its' name?
It’s the name of the farm - there was an act of enclosure in 1821 and the old common land in the village here was turned into a farm xxx
@@theflowerfarmer I love it! Thank you because every single time I watch a vid or pick up your fabulous book: The Flower Farmer's Year I wonder
