In the UK there are usually three people, a driver and two operatives. They wheel the bin up and then press a button to empty it, or sometimes it's automated. The two operatives alternate, so one is collecting bins while the other empties and vice versa.
damn dude that hit like a 2010 childhood memory for me. i remember being in my little electric car and the garbage truck going by and waving while the neighbors were outside and having fun in the summer. and then people started moving out, and the slumlord started buying up the houses and we only have weird people, annoying/gross people, or oddly enough this one preacher guy that live streams on facebook and will scream about jesus in his backyard lmfao. edit: oh yeah, there was a heroin dealer that lived across the street from us and they had a huge party and the rival gang showed up and they started shooting and shit, it was fucking crazy. and at the time they were doing construction on our sidewalks so they put up like police-looking tape, so at least from a distance on the news it looked like there were bodies or something idk.
Where I live (county provides trash pickup as part of property tax payment), it is bins only. Biweekly, there is "brush" pickup. A separate truck and crew makes its own run, and they pick up much more than brush, subject to some size and weight restriction. The plan works well for us. The bin pickups are fast and efficiently done, and the brush run crew can devote more time, to everyone's satisfaction.
Some cool pvp ideas I just thought up: -A pokemon style game, where players choose between a few random mobs and then give perks/wands to them after the rounds -Capture the flag (or Hämis) -Boss killer, as in the same as this mode of pvp but who kills a certain boss first wins
Far more nice than the toads we have. They would refuse to pick up any of it and leave a nasty note about how they have rules and regulations for pickup. The official trash bin has to have clearance, blah, blah, blah. They should give this man a raise!!
Normally I totally agree with you. I moved to a new very small town and the only available trash can that I could find at the store was slightly larger than the trash cans they allowed. It only had one bag of trash in it because that's all I generate each week. He left a nasty note that he would empty the can "this time" but never again. I get it that they don't want extra heavy, loaded trash bins to struggle with. All he had to do was lift the bag out of the can, it was light. That's all he would ever have to do. It's just frustrating for me because the only alternative I had was to let the local wildlife tear up the trash bag and scatter the trash. Sometimes there are reasons for the things we do too. Not being able to explain that to him, I felt really bad. He could have been nicer and give me a chance to explain. @@lottikokonut1250

That was nice of you to let him through. Some cats are cool with it, some get a attitude like everyone needs to wait on them. I deal with trash 6 days a week, find giving a few seconds to residents is worth it given I'll possibly see them almost every day of the year.
Where I live it’s a legal requirement to have recycling. Even if you’re too big for municipal pickup you must have recycling service. Sucks that the municipal stuff is single sort (from an environmental perspective) but oh well lets them have normal bins at least.
Dude even if you put it in a separate bin it all goes to the same damn place and gets sorted anyways. It’s setup this way to make it easier for the people at the dump and the pickup drivers. Half the time if not more people put garbage in recycling and recycling in garbage anyways so it gets sorted no matter what. & if they’re just super lazy, it all goes to the same god damn landfill anyways

Illegal disposal here in Germany costs $10 to $1500, depending on which state you live in and how much recycling you've prevented
Thanks for anyone actually taking the time and answering this, have a great day!
This guy is great!
I have dreamt of having this job for at least two decades.
Never fails, as soon as the big heavy vehicle is in position someones trying to back out of the garage
You are so nice! You rock. Keep being awesome.
Nice i love it when i see a courteous garbage truck driver. God bless my bro🙏🙏🙏
You sir are a gentleman and a scholar! And if anyone dare look down on you or your work as a “garbageman”, you slowly poke them in the chest proudly and sternly saying *Sanitation Engineer* three times!!!
Have a great day!
they better grease you up REAL good at Christmas time
Thank you for your service to our communities! I appreciate it very much!
What an amazing guy!!!!❤❤❤❤that customer owes you!
I don't think I've ever held my breath hoping that a box held together more in my life than when I saw this. Good on ya 🤞🤌👌🤯
Lol don’t let him leave 😂
Grow up! If he didn't let him leave people like you would complain about the driver.
Yeah, make him wait.
@@kevanwillis4571so who needs to grow up here? The guy just doing his job (on a tight schedule) or the guy who decides to leave at the exact wrong moment then complains about waiting for 30 seconds?
Consideration is a two-way street, friend
And you let him out. He could have waited.
He didn't need to wait. Backing up takes a few seconds and then both parties are on with the rest of their day.
Some of us left the playground when we left school.
Never seen a garbage truck driver so respectful and polite they usually don't give a single fuck and will destroy anything in their path
Wow best attitude ever- guessing he enjoys his life and the people around him are lucky!
Too many times in life we forget how things get done! Again, thank you...the fort commitment made me feel like a kid again
Your patience is astounding I would have parked and done a regen if they left me that😂
Thank you! The job you do is appreciated.😊
Great driver! Super kind to a fool who overloaded. But at least he packed the items so the driver could use the claw both the boxes. That was a slick move I’ll try to remember for the future. Break down a couple of big boxes and store for future use - maybe as a fort!!!!!
Our town ONLY lets you have whatever fits in a trash barrel, AND it has to close, nothing sticking from the top. Boxes have to be flattened and fit into the recycle bin, which again, has to fit in the bin fully closed....otherwise, they drive right by. On the other hand, my neighbor is allowed to block the mailbox with his barrels!
Such a decent considerate man.
Man, you’re awesome. My guy wouldn’t even think about lifting something that wasn’t in a proper container . He just passed it and left it sitting.
It's the "I just hurry an get over in front of you so I can hit my breaks and turn instead of just slowing down an getting behind me" energy that kills me!!! Brah was so nice an dudes like yeah I gotta go right now of all times
I’ve NEVER seen a driver back up for someone to let them out. I hook my drivers up every Christmas with SOMETHING. A nice bottle of tequila last year, 2 silver eagles the year before, my guys are cool…. If I ever saw one of them be THAT cool… I’d have to double at least… under appreciated men for sure… thank you!
Thank you sir, you not only go above and beyond. You are considerate of others. Have a blessed day.
That’s a really nice driver. I put out some stuff one time and it was within limits. when the dude turned around at the cul-de-sac to leave, I waved thanks, he drove by and gave me the finger.
Look on the bright side; you don’t even have to get out of the truck! 😎
Out of all the gifts I ever gave to my kids, an oversized cardboard box was the winner.
I did that for my 2 year old at Christmas. Loved it
Before automation it was a pleasure to see two men on a sanitation truck doing this same task and greeting neighbors all at the same time
In the UK there are usually three people, a driver and two operatives. They wheel the bin up and then press a button to empty it, or sometimes it's automated. The two operatives alternate, so one is collecting bins while the other empties and vice versa.
@@edwardholmes91I remember seeing three person crews in Florida but it was pretty rare
Indeed!
damn dude that hit like a 2010 childhood memory for me. i remember being in my little electric car and the garbage truck going by and waving while the neighbors were outside and having fun in the summer. and then people started moving out, and the slumlord started buying up the houses and we only have weird people, annoying/gross people, or oddly enough this one preacher guy that live streams on facebook and will scream about jesus in his backyard lmfao.
edit: oh yeah, there was a heroin dealer that lived across the street from us and they had a huge party and the rival gang showed up and they started shooting and shit, it was fucking crazy. and at the time they were doing construction on our sidewalks so they put up like police-looking tape, so at least from a distance on the news it looked like there were bodies or something idk.
@@Crazyclay78YTsounds like it's time for you to move to a different neighborhood. You're in the ghetto
Cool points on being chill about someone else inconveniencing you twice, and extra cool points for the fort memories. Graceful.
I would have took my time and finished picking up the trash. You have great skills thou
You are a conscientious and thoughtful man . No really you are !
A true chad amongst sanitation workers, grabbing the extra boxes carefully, letting the guy out, the box fort idea. Truly a league ahead of the rest
You seem very relaxed not only at your job but in general. I envy that😂 I get moments, but it’s only moments. Then it’s back to stress😂
Now that is an excellent garbage man. Thank you ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This guy needs more views and his own live stream. This guy is a genuine nice which you don't see all too often.
Some cool pvp ideas I just thought up:
-A pokemon style game, where players choose between a few random mobs and then give perks/wands to them after the rounds
-Capture the flag (or Hämis)
-Boss killer, as in the same as this mode of pvp but who kills a certain boss first wins
Far more nice than the toads we have. They would refuse to pick up any of it and leave a nasty note about how they have rules and regulations for pickup. The official trash bin has to have clearance, blah, blah, blah. They should give this man a raise!!
You don't put cardboard in recycling there?
rules are there for a reason tho
Trash would sit there forever, remember when they actually picked up garbage?
This seems like the best job for someone who hasn't lost their fun side! You can tell he hasn't lost his because he mentioned using the boxes for a fort! NEVER lose your fun side!!!
A courteous and conscientious worker, rare and highly valued!!
There is nothing better than watching skilled operators
Great employee and person he was raised right
Sir, I love you. Thank you for doing what you do. You are SOOOOOOOO appreciated!
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Acts of kindness showing outta no where!
Owner seems like a terribly decent fellow
He would of waited till i finished. He ain't special.
Aw come on now he gets paid by the hour lol
Hope the owner gave a good gift. Did not hear him saying thank you for letting him leave instead of him waiting for you to finish.
That was nice of you to let him through. Some cats are cool with it, some get a attitude like everyone needs to wait on them. I deal with trash 6 days a week, find giving a few seconds to residents is worth it given I'll possibly see them almost every day of the year.
Your one hell of a good guy....even let's the guy out......we need more dudes like him in this crazy world....
Waiting for all the recycling freaks to start crying about garbage and recycling not being actually recycled 😂
It’s not being recycled here because they are a small company and don’t offer recycling services
@@greengolf1 im a garbage man i seen it all
Where I live it’s a legal requirement to have recycling.
@@jacobgoodman7987Here the county prisoners sort it at the dump. Even separate recycling bins simply go in the truck with the rest.
