Calvin Harris is the KING and MASTER of doing an interview that reveals NOTHING. You never truly get any real insight into him as a person almost ever. I've been a fan of his for years and in ALL OF HIS INTERVIEWS, he always takes the p!ss, is strictly there for promo or he only talks about what has been "preapproved to discuss" beforehand. If the interviewer veers in any way, he gets visibly angry. So therefore, it's usually just mundane "my single or album is coming out" stuff or "I'm doing a collab with X, Y, Z artist and working with them was great" type talk -- which as a fan, is pretty boring to listen to. It's the same exact interviews YEAR IN, YEAR OUT with Calvin. They're so mechanical. For example, in the part where he talks about leaving L.A. for the UK after 10 years (around 5:57) he makes in it all into a joke INSTEAD of giving real reasons. *The main reason is he became ENGAGED to UK TV/radio presenter Vick Hope and she is based in the UK. They later got married in September 2023.* He is looking to start a family in the UK, and THAT is why he went back home. Also he turns 40 years old in 2024 and he's having major life changes. These Radio 1 interviewers are so far up his a**** they can't even ask BASIC questions like that for fear of making him angry, which is why his interviews are usually so trivial and boring.
