It’s hard for Calvin atm. Everyone wanted 2012-2015 Calvin again pioneering edm music but he’s kinda off that now and enjoys all his funk stuff. So when people keep going back talking about 18 months, motion etc u can see he gets a little insulted that they’re not talking about his new stuff
Calvin is weird in interviews anyway. He's always very cagey and talks around subjects. He'll never let anything get too serious and he always goes in for a joke to make sure any topic stays light and fluffy. He doesn't enjoy his "funk" stuff at all, he did it only because his record label and team pressured him into doing it. He was not even wanting to make a Vol. 2 for years anyway, and was very vocal about that on his Twitter. Now, I notice he's taken down banners promoting FWBV2 on his Twitter, and his Instagram has no mention of the Funk Wavs vol. 2 album on his social media since August of 2022.

I wish Calvin would finally do a REAL interview. He ALWAYS does these dumb, B.S. interviews, where he makes sure the interviewers are prepped by his management to not pry into his private life, not to ask tough questions, etc. It's always some fluffy, dumb interviews like "favorite song, choose your favorite animal, what's your favorite banger" etc. All these mundane questions. Calvin seems to NEVER EVER do SERIOUS INTERVIEWS. It's always fluffy and for song/album promo. Beyonce, for instance, doesn't even give interviews at all.
