The Minecraft demonstration made this so much easier to understand, thank you!
Minecraft?? but I thought it was a super microscope
Ikr
Drakenskar indeed
Are the enderman a metaphor for the government and the price we pay for a structured civilized society?
Erik Kastner yes.
I do not like Minecraft youtube videos, but this was a PERFECT use of minecraft to explain the science. You rock Cody.
You mean microscope?
All jokes aside this demonstration really helped me to understand how this works
TrezzY where are all the jokes
Ásgeir Ólafsson They got put to the side.
Me too.
That zoom was genious!
nothin more to say about it. its the first time that some one uses minecraft for explanations that i know.
Ya lol waht was awesome
Irobert1115HD then you missed a lot of things. But that was brilliant transition.
Seriously, I haven't smiled like that at a TH-cam video in a while. I'd love to see more funny/quirky explanations done this way.. =)
The irony of incorrectly spelling genius.
the budget for this must have been massive with all that CGI
nah, I think it was just a super expensive macro lens
Wut do u mean this is only Minecraft just google it cool game id say
NeonMaster woosh
the electron microscope cost a ton
Amir Dahan You have no humor
That is a hell of a macro lens.
Seriously though, great visualization.
Wow. The way you used Minecraft to explain. Pure genius. Never see anyone use it for science before. Very nice. Perfect explanation
I know this is a late reply, but there is a Minecraft Education Edition that is being designed to be used in the classroom. It has some pretty cool stuff involving chemistry.
Jonathan Gray it's never to late my friend
Mauro Molinero Movie magic ruined! Just don't ask me about the tooth fairy.
Well maybe its not strictly science, but you can make "computers" out of redstone. I only use quotes cus im not a computer guy so i wouldnt know what counts, but i am making a calculator and it seems legit.
@@FinkPloyd504 I helped a friend of mine through boolean algebra with redstone circuits. But first I had to learn how to play minecraft...
best gaming channel on youtube 10/10
I love how when the sun set in minecraft, you moved the flashlight to the "horizon" of the green square before you zoomed out :P
I found a cow atom
Darkking Ice the cow atoms are making tiny cow villages too
and horse atoms
Don't be ridiculous, it's a cow molecule.
Pshh, cow atom, as if :P
Cobalt Tungstide is beautiful
but.. animals are continuous
My favourite minecraft youtuber
roszymek TeFau well he does mine and craft things
XD ty tutaj?
Akurat ciebie się nie spodziewałam XD
witam pana
Clever use of Minecraft! It actually made a lot of sense this way, well done!
This is the underrated aspect of Minecraft. It's a simple yet very effective and particularly visual tool for teaching a great wealth of things. Visualizing this concept with little to no prior knowledge of chemistry would be quite challenging, but this method's made it crystal clear. Good job, Cody!
I think this is Cody's subtle hint that his Cody's mine videos are going to turn into Minecraft let's plays.
I don't mean to alarm anyone, but it appears there is a village of beings living on the microscopic level....
Microorganisms, amirite?
it called a villager
Ah yes those would be the Dorbees
They are the megagargantuans, they named themselves before they found out they were microscopic.
There also appear to be some horse molecules living there as well.
that minecraft transition was the most godly thing ive ever seen
Simple but brilliant way to demonstrate a concept. I love this channel. Cody is my man crush
that was a brilliant way to visualize the concept
I love the flashlight illustrating the sunset when you zoomed back out again :D great attention to detail
i usually dont comment on your videos, but the transition to minecraft was great, also a very good way to visualize whats happening
Cody's Electron Minecraftscope. Awesome.
First time on you tube I've seen minecraft effectively used as an educative tool.
That transition was brilliant!
Wait, there was a microscopic lifeform behind you. It looked like they were advanced
Cj Taylor haha
bacteria
@life form AHAHAHAHA
And they were less than an atom wide
@@emiliamilyanovich7983 no they weren't. Each block was an atom (gold atom and silver atom)
I really liked this video. It is one of the few of your videos I actually understand. You explained it really well.
Outstanding use of Minecraft to illustrate what's happening at the atomic level. Very cool.
Cody is officially an mad scientist with the MC example
Nobody likes you furry, i hack pokemon btw
+erike1999 well hello there, jerk. that wasn't what the OP of the comment was talking about.
dylan gordon But it is what his channel is about.
Wut r u doin hair
That transition to minecraft was unexpected and awesome! The cows in the background make it so authentic.
The smoothest zoom in and zoom out ever.
Explaining this with minecraft was a really GREAT idea! I'm a chemist and I never thought of that!! Great job!!
What a creative and intuitive way of explaining this principle!!
"Minecraft is a game for kids"
Cody, an intellectual, : uses minecraft to explain gold and silver solubilities with acids
You should do a whole series of videos called "Minecraft Science" where you explain stuff using analogs in Minecraft
the zoom into the minecraft demonstration was great! nice job!
Wow, wasn't expecting Cody Craft. Cool way to explain it! What an educational tool!
This is actually one of the most effective visual representations of a chemistry phenomenon I've ever seen. The one question I do have, is there still a possibility of there being gold that cannot be fully liberated from a silver enclosure, or rather I suppose silver that can be stuck in the gold. Nevermind, as I type, I realize that by switching acids you then liberate the trapped silver.
I loved this video but I would like to say, I would be way more interested to see you explain the microscopic cows
If you are lucky you may see a ultra microscopic cow
There's also some ultra microscopic villages. They are lovely.
Nah, that was just a tardigrade.
(Insert Cyriak joke here)
4:06, there appears to be some microscopic horses too.
Maybe one of those is a sheep
love the translation between the macro and micro(minecraft) examples for the explanation.
Clever way to explain it in a simple way
That was a really clever way of visually demonstrating it.
Great video!
If that was the mine craft world those atoms would be about the right size. Awesome detail!
Confirmed Cody has successfully created a clone
Actually I just redid the math and it seems I am off by a factor of 2 but yes I was totally going for that! :)
What's this? Cody-ception
yes, yes it is
Cody'sBLab i died tho when you made the sound and dropped into Minecraft
Using minecraft to explain metallurgy, this is golden!
Ba dum tshhh
The usage of minecraft to explain this is so unique yet so effective.
"now, you can see... oh... I wasn't supposed to do that"
famous last words
Bonus points for renaming the tools as the actual tools to refine.
Also NBT tags, ok you get a _refined gold_ star
Pure brilliance, using minecraft to demonstrate the microscopic scale!
Misconception where the 12 year olds at
Not when you use it educationally, learning isn't cool for them.
This is by far the most creative use of Minecraft (or any game, for that matter) that I've seen so far. Thanks for the visual aid, helped a lot :)
Very, very cool and unique way to explain a complex problem. Well done, Cody.
Amazed how Cody pulled off a scientific explanation with a game.
Only you could pull off using Minecraft to teach chemistry. Love it.
That transition was amazing!!!!!
Grass still exists in the 'ultra microscopic level'!!! Amazing!!! btw, nice work cody!
I really like the Minecraft usage to explain things happening at the molecular level. You could probably apply this to many of your videos! Very creative and easy to understand
I really enjoyed the Minecraft explanation on how to use the acids and how they affect the metals. My wife saw you at the store the other day. She was the one awkwardly starring. Haha.
the minecraft explanation would hav been better if he had done /gamerule doDayLightCycle false in in game chat prememptivly
This is one of the best teaching methods for this kind of content. I know almost nothing about chemistry and I totally got what you were saying. You should really think about creating a series of educational videos aimed at teaching chemistry and science to kids!
Finally a new mining video
Just slightly different than what I had expected
Who knew atoms were such perfect cubes? That's the thing about this channel, you always learn new stuff!
I like that attention to detail, changing the position of the light after zooming out to match with the light in the model. Fantastic video overall!
Cody is the only person who can explain how acid acts in gold and silver with minecraft love u Cody
You would honestly be awesome as a teacher
That transition was beautiful
That's honestly a genius way of visualizing the information. I wouldn't expect anything less Cody. Love the vids
I love how you moved the flashlight in order to match the position of the sun in the "atomic level"! ;) Pure gold! :D
13/10 editing
That transition though! That was actually a very great idea to get an explanation across! Awesome job!
reminded me something youd see on an old magic school bus episode, loved it!
Exactly!
That is an excellent way to show how the process is done. Don't know if you thought of it yourself but it was genius
Unexpected and fun way to explain it.
What an AMAZING way to demonstrate it
That was some incredible nano optic technology you got there. :)
Now minecraft videos comes up in my recommended, thanks Cody
haha
"Lets zoom in and get a closer look"
_plays Minecraft_
Awesome video Cody. Never change.
Very cool Cody, love the way you explained that with Minecraft. Awesome!
I must admit, this was by far the best usage of minecraft I've ever seen !
I love this maybe the most creative person I have ever seen
Great explanation, very cleverly done!
Best Visual explanation.
That minecraft example of how the acids react with the metals and why you need to add more silver was very helpful to give me a better understanding of the concept. You should do more stuff like this
can we have a moment for that amazingly epic transition
High budget cgi and a new open. Cody is going Hollywood on us.
Great use of mine craft to make easy to understand visuals. Good job.
Loved the visualization! Very nice work!
Whole new definition for Minecraft as a learning and exploratory tool. Very innovative and very lively to understand and imagine. Very very helpful thank you for doing this. I truly wish and pray for you to continue to succeed
I didn't expect the minecraft explanation lmao😂
What do you mean? Cody just zoomed in.
Why is there microscopic cows in my jewelry?
Maybe its bacteria
Great vid Cody! I like the visual explanation using minecraft.
That was a very clever and useful illustrative tool! Props Cody
Zshooooooooooooooooo doop!
Brilliant, Cody. And the transition to the Minecraft world was absolutely flawless. Very clever editing.
Yeah, but that microscope draws a lot of power. He's gotta have a much better excuse than this video to break it out like that.
Can't tell if I'm watching Cody's Lab or Etho's Lab
Best macro photography ever.
This is awesome, the creativity to explain it made me enjoy this video a lot
Brilliant demonstration!
That transition was awesome, Cody!
Cody's gonna win the Nobel Prize for discovering those atomic-size lifeforms. Looks like they've even built a whole primitive village down there.
That's great but what's up with those atomic cows?
Great video! I noticed the picometer-sized cow though
You totally should have put this in the main video, length be damned. The mincraft example was awesome!
I never expected Minecraft from cody. amazing. truly
I remember he made a few references to the game in his Mining series, but this is the first time he used it to explain something.
