I just finished grinding the Lilith Rod yesterday. The most painful 2 days of grinding i've done in a long time if not ever, but worth it. Not ever going to get another Zodiac Weapon though. Great list! Much love ❤

As someone that isn't that attracted to glowy weapons for BLM (it overlap weirdly while casting), my personal favorite is the Elemental Rod from Eureka (finish the Pagos step). While it's just a green dragon eye on a stick, the crown makes it stand out, and it matches my green color scheme. I do agree that Zurvan crafted weapon looks amazing with the fire and ice orbs surrounding it.
I'm honestly a little disappointed that we can't use one-handed staves on two-handed ones, if only because it makes said one handed staves useless for glam (when they could've been a neat alternative).
I *love* these videos even though I tend to disagree with most of the picks. The Black Mage DSR weapon is my least favourite DSR weapon and my least favourite of the BLM ultimate weapons and imo the Stardust Rod's base model is what *makes* all of its iterations so good! It's a literal meteor on a stick, it doesn't get much more BLM than that! (My fav BLM weapon is the Stardust Rod Ultima by a long shot.) But everyone has different tastes and that's what makes the wild variety in weapon designs so great.
Gotta say that while I used the Garuda staff for a while myself I had to ditch it for Ramuh's because the white and green clashes with the purple glow of the BLM casting. Also helps that the combined glows cover the entire model
Staff of the demon is my all time favorite staff. IMO the ultimate BLM staff. The lilith rod zeta comes right behind. Still grinding that one. Love to combine both in armored battlemage glams!
One of those small little 'take out the trash' items I've been doing in preparation for Dawntrail is getting my ideal weapon glams for a lot of classes. For some of them, though, very little actually seems to speak to me.... right now I'm using the Anabeisos weapon, Ignis Malus, and I might just stick with that as my glam as well. The glowing blue lantern light is fairly simple and not exactly eye-catching, but it's rather unique and has a very clean aesthetic.
Aww no mention of the tropaios rod. Its an insanely cool pvp glamour that has a moving eyeball built into it, like it actually looks arounds and blinks. I have no idea why its so high quality but ig that's the privileges you get when youre yoshi ps main
The hat..uh Im not sure... The top is Calfskin rider jacket The Hands and Pants are the blm class set but you can get them dyeable easily with wolfmarks at the wolves den Boots are 2b boots from Copied factory
ARR relic weapon for summoner took me forever. I really don’t want to do that again. Some of the designs look way over the top Garuda rod looks nice but doesn’t fit black mage in my opinion but that fire and ice staff is perfect to me.
I can't recall the name ATM (is it maybe from the Tropicana set?) But there is a PVP currency staff that has a floating eyeball in it, that is pretty good for those who don't love glowing staves. I'm a big fan of the glow, but lowkey hate playing BLM, so I typically just roll with the HW relic as it was easy to get done in an afternoon.
I'm so mad the BLM Resistance weapon is so perfect because it's locked behind the god-awful Bozjan grind. Look at the red blue and purple lights, it's fire, ice, and thunder aether respectively, and the shape of the crescent moon fits the job gague!
I'm having a very hard time picking a good black mage rod that suits me. Closest one I'd like is original ARR relic but ... i have a unique character design whom is hard to fit as black mage. Scythe comes close. Desperus, I would appreciate your opinion here if you see this-- For a black hrothgar (black lion look :P ) who wears alot of whtie to offset his black fur , and runs a very sagely, mysterious tribal theme, what weapon do you feel will best suit him?
I tried asking around but didn't get much results but I wanted to ask- Is it possible to get both Lilith rod and Stardust rod? I love them both but I don't want to pick between the two on which to keep. If I get Stardust rod will I have to get rid of it for Lilith rod?
you may already discover it BUT: if you finish the whole process of an ARR relic weapon, you can take that weapon to Gerolt's assistant that is near the furnance where you 1st met Gerolt, he can provide you Replicas of ALL THE WEAPONS STEP also you can store them in the glam dresser so yes! you can have both the Lilith and the Stardust Rod! So finish your weapon with peace of mind!
6 months later but there is an NPC in Gangos named Regana that lets you buy "replicas" of each step for just 1000 gil that you can stick into your glamour dresser. She even lets you buy a glow-less version of the final step. So go buy the Replica Augmented Law's Order step and get that glamour back! This is how all relics work btw.
disagree with most picks but overall good recommends, I do however feel this list is suited towards female characters taste. and lastly I love the UWU rod, and I would consider it the best for blm. you can't go wrong with the base BLM rod. It's iconic!
Dont know if I'm the only one but gonna be honest: The intros are atleast for me super annoying its like an ad that I have to skip everytime. But if I'm the only one that can not appreciate thats my cup of tea. Nonetheless nice video and got some new weapons for my BLM
Watching Your lists, I'm a little disappointed none of the Gerolt's Masterworks made it even as an honorable mention. They're not spectacular by any means, but they're the earliest, and easiest glowy weapons one can get in the game. It's thanks to them that I even started giving a crap about my weapon's appearance. Also after just checking them out again, I think the tank ones, the bow, and both books still stand out as pretty cool. Especially love how heavy the tank weps look.
@@DesperiusFFXIV its lame for other reasons, some of these weapons are modded. The DSR weapon does not look anywhere NEAR that shiny, in the game. It looks horrible compared to your shots there.
@@naruto-kun-ub6yz Ultimate weapon glows look *very* different depending on where you are in the game; it's an issue with the game's lighting. For instance, go run around the Gold Saucer with an Ultimate weapon drawn and you'll find that sometimes it looks extremely dim and lame and other times it shines so bright it's ridiculous and it all depends on which part of the Gold Saucer you're in. From what I can tell no mods are being used for enhanced glow in this video and simply the right environment was chosen to show the weapon off.

I leveled blm to 50 yesterday and started the relic today at least I'm 1/3 through the atma stage
