Max White If you're trying to imply that the spotters are assisting to lift the weight then you'd be an idiot. You can look at the flex of the spotters arms and where their hands are to clearly see that they aren't helping him lift the weight. You're just jealous that you can't even leg press or squat that weight. But you probably weight 700lbs.
Update6 months and I'm still loving this bench. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxo_64lVTGMk7y4aXTPxPOcQ3YTLyQ6kYV I use it almost daily. I've gotten used to the small wobble and it's no problem at all. Love the storage, it folds right next to my weight set in the garage and hardly takes any space. I wish the covering material was a little bit tougher. I have a feeling that in a couple years it'll tear, but the bench is very well priced that I would just buy a new one.3 month usage review. Awesome bench for someone looking for compactness and storage. I did have to drill a couple holes to adjust my preferred seating position and leg bar position but that's only due to my personal preference. It's very sturdy for normal workouts, but for anyone going above 100# dumbbell press it wobbles ever so slightly. I would probably go with a fixed bench if that's the case. That being said i can accomplish 99% of my normal gym workout with this setup. Very happy with the purchase.
All the non-athletes can relax. This was a Hall of Fame football player, not a powerlifter in a competition. Larry is among the best to ever play in the NFL. Feel free to continue your banter, recreational athletes.
Thank you Jon. It's hilarious to hear all these critiques from couch potatoes and idiots who don't have a clue about what it means to compete at the very highest level against the best conditioned athletes in the world week in and week out.
The fact that he's a hall of fame athlete doesn't make these lifts any less bullshit. Just because Michael Jordan was the best basketball player doesn't mean he can't cheat at golf.
Timothy Coates That in no way refutes the point that these are nonsensical teamwork lifts for a publicity stunt. Larry was good for a 500s level bench. He would have been stapled to the bench with anything 600+...which is why all of these lifts required teamwork. My point stands: being the best in the world at football literally NEVER means being a top 5 bencher in the world. Real 700 pound benchers (there are only 3-4 in the world right now) have typically benched 315 for 40 repish. The current world record holder in the bench, Eric Spoto, benched 500x19 reps and he hit 722x1 in competition. Larry Allen only managed 225x43 the same year as this video, and that's what 500-525 pound benchers typically hit. I would know, I'm a 500 pound bencher. My guess is you are not.
You guessed correctly. I topped out at 3 plates it was all I ever needed to do what I did athetically. Your grasp of facts and figures of people you know and know of is impressive as far as it goes. Your ability to lift 500 lbs is a non-sequitir to this argument much like the cheating at golf comment you made. If you have some proof he didn't and couldn't make these lifts I'm listening. I suspect you don't
Probably a bad day to lift for anyone else. Better hope its a dynamic day since you get to squat with 2 35s and every 10 that other people were not using since everyone probably had to grab up every sub 45 weight out there. Of course, if it was a powerlifting gym they would have had 100 pounders.
you idiots its the cowboys practice facility not to mention the 2nd most marketable team in the league. I think they have more than enough money to pay for more than a few 45's.

I'll even make myself sound like I know what I'm talking about. I'll leave a negative comment. Hopefully other miserable people will see what I've said, and thumbs it up.
+Uptown Down Dont you fucking understand that lot of us who criticize are used to watching People like Kirill Sarychev and Eric Spoto World record breakers in bench press. It wont make me feel better but it pisses me off that people claim they lift this and that and in reality it there is a spotter assisting it. Then there is those fake plate assholes like Andy Haman for example. Larry is a strong guy but a 600 lbs without a help would be much more impressive and respected than assisted 700. And as a competing presser myself i know if spotter helps with even two fingers on the bar makes world of difference.
+Uptown Down I woke up today wanting to impress the world. I decided to post a TH-cam video of me and 3 of my friends lifting 700 lbs, but I claimed I did it all by myself. Anyone who has a problem with this is some sort of horrible, miserable person and a hater. They're not allowed to call me out on my obvious shenanigans, as I try to improperly overinflate my ego. Sure I'm stronger than everyone watching this video, and I could do a very impressive amount of weight clean.. but I need to LIE about a massive, world-record amount of weight to get that next level of artificial praise.
this dude is freaking strong , and that makes me think that kirill syreshev the holder of world raw bench press record is not a human , he pushed 739lbs with a very impresive form like it was nothing
Incredible strength, i think it may very well be the strongest in the world. Im talking of course about his sternum, ive never seen anyone bounce that hard.
Night 1075 depending on who youre asking. 1075 is the IPF record set by Ryan Kannelly under competition rules (down, pause, press, rack. neck and butt stay on the bench, no spotter touches ANYTHING) with a shirt. While the IPF record for shirtless is Kirill Sarychev which i believe was 740 again under competition rules. there are people who have "lifted more" under IPF rules, but because of the possibility of using fake weights IPF record is considered the record.
Night Ryan, but if were going by weight alone, put five two ply shirts on me and ill set a few records also. Its hard to say who is stronger between a geared and non geared lifter because the use or lack of gear does eventually become part of your form.
What the powerlifters in this comment section seem to overlook is: NO its not a legitimate lift YES he gets assistance. However he has no equipment and is not training to be a powerlifter. This guy is an absolute genetic outlier. I think if larry allen trained as a powerlifter for 2-4 years he would do some serious damage to world records. The amateur level athletes in powerlifting are simply not the top of the genetic pyramid in the same way the NFL is. NFL has athletes that represent the freak of the freaks. His peers have consistently acknowledged larry allen was functionally one of the strongest lineman of all time, he threw ground men around as a living. He has freaky fast twitch fibres. The genetic ability in this dude is off the charts, if he had chosen track he could have been an Olympic shot putter potentially and if he had chosen powerlifting I have no doubt he would be in the top 5 in the world in the bench.
Patrick Harrison no equipment? So what? Have you heard of raw lifting? He still didn’t bench 700 let alone 675. His max is around 600 not 700. It is still impressive though, but he can’t bench 700, and didn’t in this video James Henderson, Krill, Eric spoto, and Maddox can all bench 700, but not this guy
You don't think this guy bench presses all the time as part of his training? It's a massive step up from a comp style 600 where he is now to 700+. If Kirrill benched like him he would be 800+. 900 if he had the same spotters...LOL
317kg is insane unbelievable. My best ever was 110kg nowhere close to that though I'm no powerlifter or strongman, even with roids I doubt I could ever reach that, that's just insane gentics and a lot of hard work.
I know Larry is a beast but as a certified gymbro i cannot let him claim 700lb bench press , all 3 of his spotters were helping him, he is stronger than all of us by a long shot probably got about 550 in him, which is great considering he is an athulete .
I would say he had a competition press of about 550 like you say. And maybe a clean gym lift of 575-585. He had to have quite a bit of help with 635 he is no where near 705 not even hating
@@petergabriele9345 i think you are underestimating how much can spotters make difference those spotters looked like they were holding around 30-50 kilo each I think Larry will max out at 550 lbs something still a big number
@@AbeVicious how does that matter please don't be a sheep , have your opinion, I don't know which country you belong to but I am a free man of a free country , just because you haven't been to the moon doesn't mean you can't talk about it.
TheMarine Jr Spotters helped the white guy bench 700 but nobody mentioned that. The spotters where invisible and Super white guy saved the day according to you.
This reminds me of Angelo Samarripa claiming he could bench 720lbs with a "bit of help" from his spotters. When he tried to attempt 725lbs without any help the weight nearly killed when it crashed into his chest.
Ya he definitely had some help, but still...what other athlete is doing anywhere close to that? My bench record is 355. I was trying for 350 for so long. A few times I did, a different spotter touched the bar so it was invalid to me. It pissed me off so much. Took me a while until I was officially able to count it. I was like "don't touch this shit until I say so or you see it going down"
if you think that was impressive watch the play where he caught a guy from at least 20 yards back who intercepted a pass and was taking it back the other way
against the Saints and later in the same game nearly did it again as a CB picked a pass and returned it for a TD just a fraction of a second before Larry Allan catches him and tackles him before reaching the endzone.
If you drop the bar on your neck, your form is really shitty because you shouldn't be bringing the bar down to your neck. By helping someone out with the amount of strength each of these guys have, you are talking at LEAST, a 200lb weight reduction.
This lift is one that inspired me to get into lifting. Is it comp standard, no, but it's everything a bullied 12 year old needed to see to want to workout and change things. RIP LARRY
Everyone is talking about the spotters. Shit, if I was spotting his id hand on for dear life. What if his hand slips? DEAD. Stop giving a HOF player shit for something he didnt even do. And if your talking all this shit how about you try it. Youll be struggling to put the weight on the bar.
everyone's giving him shit because he's claiming to have benched 700lbs when clearly there was no indication of proper form (aka bouncing off his chest for one rep) and the spotters were helping him. ZERO reps were done at this weight PERIOD. get your head out of your ass
Michael Green thank you. Someone gets it! Not not even a Cowboys fan and I give him the credit. Who is strong enough to to catch 700 pounds if he reaches muscle failure or he slips? That weight could dismember him.
that's why it's absolutely fucking retarded to try and lift that weight if you can't properly and cleanly lift it, you're just opening yourself up to possible injury. he didn't bench press 700lbs, he pressed it with shitty form with spotters helping him and the only thing he managed to accomplish was not injuring himself lol
For real. You think this man worth 100x as much as you they will risk even getting a little hurt? And I'll tell ya, help or not, he could easily plow through 2 Wilforks with his strength if he wanted to.
People need to stop bring up bullshit about power lifters. Those roided out fucks wish they could be athletic. This man played in the NFL at the highest level and did this without roids. If Larry had trained as a power lifter he would have the all time world record no contest.
The collars on the bar make it 50lbs. There was a dime on each end. It was 705lbs. You’re right. It should be all hands off during the lift. Still a powerful man.

Most annoying thing on the planet is someone touching the bar when you don’t need help during a max bench day.
i came to the comments looking to see everyone saying this, but you're the only asshole shitting on larry's show. but yea... that helps. nonetheless, this is fucking insane. all the roided strongmen would be in a press suit. fucking pussies.
@@lexioustheexcellence3288 don't worry, you never will.
@@bboygaf3384 lol, what you maxing? hands on the bar at all times with 2 side spotters for the big boys.if shit goes south, you want that. can be done without applying force.
The sheer joy in this video is so contagious!
Wish I had hype friends like that I would be lifting 2,000 pounds by now
i lose strength when people start yelling.
Larry allen is a genetic anomaly. You see a guy with that kind of power and agility and speed, once in a lifetime.
nah. i've seen quite a few.
I woke up today hating myself, as I did the day before. I need a way to make myself feel better. I'll come on this video, and downplay something a man has done. I'll even make myself sound like I know what I'm talking about. I'll leave a negative comment. Hopefully other miserable people will see what I've said, and thumbs it up.
hell yeah me too, he sucked!!
Or we just don't give participation trophies to guys who embellish their capabilities.
+Uptown Down Well you're just hating on others too, but you think you're better? lol.
this dude is freaking strong , and that makes me think that kirill syreshev the holder of world raw bench press record is not a human , he pushed 739lbs with a very impresive form like it was nothing
Its hard to say who is stronger between a geared and non geared lifter because the use or lack of gear does eventually become part of your form.
this just isn't a legit bench press

I smell some jealousy in the comment section
Here after hearing steven A say he benched 700 to see if it was true wow😮 r.i.p legend
That’s not assistance, those people are putting their hands under and are barley touching the bar Incase something freak happens, they do not lifting.
@Dima Medvedev yeah, you're brain dead. HES. NOT. TRAINING. FOR. POWERLIFTING. SO. HE. WONT. LIFT. LIKE. A. PRO. LIFTER. Make sense now?
Patrick Harrison no equipment? So what? Have you heard of raw lifting? He still didn’t bench 700 let alone 675.
His max is around 600 not 700. It is still impressive though, but he can’t bench 700, and didn’t in this video
James Henderson, Krill, Eric spoto, and Maddox can all bench 700, but not this guy
Patrick Harrison he had people hover and barley do anything holding, this is no assistance, only spotting.
+steroids
@@GoyFromFinland Even without steroids he'd be strong as an OX
Not even close to being an actual bench. We called that a community benchpress four man bench lol
Rest in peace my man..Raider Nation salute's you🙏
I know Larry is a beast but as a certified gymbro i cannot let him claim 700lb bench press , all 3 of his spotters were helping him, he is stronger than all of us by a long shot probably got about 550 in him, which is great considering he is an athulete .
I would say he had a competition press of about 550 like you say. And maybe a clean gym lift of 575-585. He had to have quite a bit of help with 635 he is no where near 705 not even hating
Agreed
He is north of 550 and south of 650
Still a good place to be
@@petergabriele9345 i think you are underestimating how much can spotters make difference those spotters looked like they were holding around 30-50 kilo each I think Larry will max out at 550 lbs something still a big number
When you bench 700lbs no help, let us know when you upload the video
@@AbeVicious how does that matter please don't be a sheep , have your opinion, I don't know which country you belong to but I am a free man of a free country , just because you haven't been to the moon doesn't mean you can't talk about it.
those 3 spotters were definately helping him
yeah, doesnt look that way but it really does even if its just 2 fingers
TheMarine Jr but what if his finger slips, he would've been dead. But yeah they did help him
TheMarine Jr Spotters helped the white guy bench 700 but nobody mentioned that. The spotters where invisible and Super white guy saved the day according to you.
Bullshit They helped him!!!! You need an Eye doctor!
They helped.
I remember watching the legendary Reggie White toss around Larry Allen like a ragdoll.
Inspector711 he was a young player back then fuck you mean?? 🤣
Watch the whole game. Not one play.
bro that mf'er would be in a cast literally tossing mf'ers with one arm.
Man I’m going to miss that smile! #73 🐐
This reminds me of Angelo Samarripa claiming he could bench 720lbs with a "bit of help" from his spotters. When he tried to attempt 725lbs without any help the weight nearly killed when it crashed into his chest.
Yeah, I'm guessing this was 650 perhaps. Still stronk tho
I was like "don't touch this shit until I say so or you see it going down"
@@wyldeyouth No this is clearly 705 pounds. I guess you don't lift. LOL!!
@@Nonpeonseems his point went completely over your head
@@Austin.Kilgore I reread it, and you're right. And, by the way, the weight here was 700lbs, not 705 as I'd said before. Cheers
In Guinness book of world record. It say LARRY and his spotters did 700 bench press. That's a lot of weight but come on
The spotters didn't really help pull the weight, they are there to help pull the weight when you can't do it. Larry benched 700 lbs.
Just shut up, you can't do shit anyway
Nathanael Morales ? You forgot about the reply feature didn't you?
+Achman Ra The spotters gave him a good 150 lbs. worth of help.
+Achman Ra Everyone does, matters alot
He got a lot of help from the spotter!
I’m glad I got to watch this legend play. Rest in peace, big man.
I think that if this man tackled me I would die.
LMAO
he's was an o lineman, so u'd just have to worry about running through him
I love how hype they got after!!
if you think that was impressive watch the play where he caught a guy from at least 20 yards back who intercepted a pass and was taking it back the other way
against the Saints and later in the same game nearly did it again as a CB picked a pass and returned it for a TD just a fraction of a second before Larry Allan catches him and tackles him before reaching the endzone.
@@kurtmorris454 it was a line backer
@@gavinspikes2453 the first one was a LB the 2nd time it was a CB. They have that game on youtube and I just recently watched it.

Well I mean 700 pounds dropping on your neck isn't that bad
You sir, are a dumbass
+Brian Crisci and who are you replying too?
The one who posted
If you drop the bar on your neck, your form is really shitty because you shouldn't be bringing the bar down to your neck. By helping someone out with the amount of strength each of these guys have, you are talking at LEAST, a 200lb weight reduction.
RIP Larry Allen. Beast. DC4L.
Why everyone criticizing larry Allen, 700lb bench press or not he would throw you around like a rag doll while laughing
Armando Kalkay That is so true
@Dima Medvedev Exactly.
Greatest big man of all time!
This lift is one that inspired me to get into lifting. Is it comp standard, no, but it's everything a bullied 12 year old needed to see to want to workout and change things. RIP LARRY
Good team building lift! It was a workout for Larry and all 3 spotters! All natural too. Crazy.
