I was up at 2 in the morning listening to one of Brendan’s last fighters Tyan Booth say that Brendan used to say if you get into trouble and a fights gonna happen run off and get chased then after they are nackered chasing stop and turn around and f***** batter them as you do a hour cardio in the gym and they can’t do both . Brendan was clearly levels higher 👍
Fantastic. Love that This Is England 90 vibe all the way through, the haircuts, the smiley face t-shirts, the house and breakbeat tracks on in the gym. Pure 1990. Thanks for uploading RIP Brendan
Brenden had a special quality and a special way of connecting with the kids using his life experience coming from Ireland over to Sheffield must have been hard for him and he could Relate to all colours and creed's, never looking at the colour of your skin but as a human being. He taught not just boxing skills but more important than that life skills. He will be sadly missed
Says it all really. This is huge in the way sport is so important. Brendan was clearly the perfect coach because he understood that there is so much more than just throwing a punch. Great video🙏🏻
Chris Wade & people who do nothing get knighted & go on there knees infront of the queen, I don't think Brendan would have got on his knees for the queens sword neither would I
Ah Sugg sport at 9:40 where I got my first pair of gloves. Sheffield is an amazing boxing city with loads of good clubs but Brendan was surely the best there has been. As for my boxing, a complete shambles, one white collar bout which I lost but loads of good memories.
Naz's little brother seems like a great kid, wonder why he never made it? Be great to hear an update one the first lad featured, clearly he was suffering with his confidence, hopefully the training helped him come out of himself. Brendan was a top man.
Look at how Jonny is with the little kids, he's always been one of my favourite people in boxing. Brendan is one of a kind you can see the love and care he showed the children and young men and how he connected with them.
Brendan was a head of his time he was the first in the UK to train amateurs and professionals together and got told it was wrong Now it’s the blue print of Uk boxing
Disagree tbh, people used to send amateurs out with few months experience, happens a lot less now. Was definitely harder though, had many more fights to win ABAs
Wrong guy, this Vincent is already a teen in the early 90s. While the one you mentioned was in his late 20s. This Vincent would be much older than late 20s in 2014.
Someone should message Dominic ingle to find out about Vincent. I think boxing king media has a good relationship with Dominic. He’s always doing videos maybe someone could message them to ask Dominic next time he interviews him
My god seeing it again brought all the memories flooding back...i was in there that year to buy my first England shirt and first Wednesday shirt... it's amazing to see it again 👍
It's Naseem's younger bro, the film was released in 1992 (same year Prince turned pro at 18) & this footage couldn't have been more than two years prior, Ali looks about 11 here.
1990 was a great year even in ireland the heavy weight was rocking the middle weight rocking Italy world Cup rocking by 98 it was starting to go tits up well that's the way I saw
People like Brendan don’t come around often, the true definition of a man. RIP fella

He was a blessing to boxing buddy, not many come around like Brendan, I pray he’s in a beautiful place above somewhere. Faz from UK 🇬🇧

This is amazing. How Brendan wasn't knighted is disgraceful

He should have been, I agree
True. But in fairness I doubt Brendan would have accepted it. Proud Irishman.
Brendan was too Irish.
The Queen didn't deserve to be associated with him.
You can just feel the love he has for these kids his building them up mentally and plays a brilliant farther figure
I had the pleasure to meet him. He was clearing out the snow. It was much much later. I never even recognised him, he was such a humble person.
This documentary shows a glimpse of Naseem Hamed growing up under Ingle. I wish there was more footage.
Amazing documentary...so nice to see the legend that was Brendan Ingle again. One of the kind and boxing was lucky to have had him.
Thanks for uploading this, it's the modern history of boxing in England superb
RIP Brendan
The world needs more Brendan Ingles
The Danny Reynolds that Ali Hamed fights did end up turning pro and was on sky a few times, he was from Leeds, mad to see that

What a genuinely lovely bloke. A sad loss.

Theres a touch of Ron Pecks fighters about this too. Enjoyed that, thanks for posting.
This is brilliant! Great upload!
I think the boxing standard was a lot higher back in the days
Disagree tbh, people used to send amateurs out with few months experience, happens a lot less now. Was definitely harder though, had many more fights to win ABAs
I wonder what happened to the lad who was in this?
Awww, it's a shame, Ali passed away i bet his family look back at these videos and feel such sadness he was a bright young kid
When and how did he pass way
This is brilliant
Would have loved to have someone like Brendan growing up...

Looks like he was murdered. Searched on Google. Sad to see
@@divdep16 That article is from Ireland in 2014 and says he was 29 which wouldn't add up I think...

Its always the ones that don't appear to be the main focus in a documentary early in their life that become one of the greats.
Muisc ?
What happened to the kid?
I am wondering this as well. He kept saying that he wouldent know what to do if he didnt become a pro boxer.
Think he died. I was searching on Google about him. Sad to see

What? really? how did he pass away?
@@Draxlbaby someone with the same name died in Ireland a short time back but was only in his 20s. Wouldn't this kid be older that now?
