    Great idea ! Applied to my sledge works great. Only downside takes away the easy on and easy off of the body ! Guess thats why traxxas didn't apply a bumper that sits high like this. But still with a little bending or curling under of front body still goes on easy, coming off is easier. Worth keeping the body from crushing!!

    • @DoRC
      @DoRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah it does make the body a little bit harder to get on and off but it's not too bad. If it does bother you can just clip the bars off the top of the bumper. Thanks for watching and a sub is appreciated!

    Fantastic idea..."thank you" to you, and to whomever inspired you to try it. Watching, it got me to wondering if any other (Traxxas, or non-Traxxas) bumpers might fit.

    • @DoRC
      @DoRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I tried the exb bumper and the RPM bumper for 6s cars and neither one fit really well. They're both very close but they're so close that the existing holes interfere with the holes you would need to make which will end up making them loose. Thanks for watching and commenting and a sub to my channel is appreciated :-)

    • @robbryan3044
      @robbryan3044 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DoRC Are they close left-right? Or front-rear? Reason I ask is, if left-right, that should still hold the bumper quite tight. However, if front-rear, then yeah...would probably be loose.

    • @DoRC
      @DoRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@robbryan3044 they're perfect with left to right but close front to rear unfortunately you can get two screws in perfectly but the other two would end up in elongated holes which not only would be bad for the bumper but also because those screws hold the differential housing you risk that coming loose as well.

    • @DoRC
      @DoRC  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sorry I don't think I ever measured them. I have a big bag of screws and I think I just grabbed some that were a little bit longer than the stock ones. I think they come in like 2 mm increments I would just go with one that's the next length up from what the stock ones are. You could probably get away with the stock ones but I was like to have them be as long as possible.

    How does this effect getting the body off? It looks close and you slide it forward to remove it, probably why traxxas didnt add one then again I swear they want you to buy bodies every vehicle I have something rubs through mostly shock towers its ridiculous.

    • @DoRC
      @DoRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You have to kind of push the bottom of the body back a little bit to get it on and off but it is pretty easy. I tried the RPM bumper for the kraton and it aligns perfectly with wise but not lengthwise.
