"Nam Tao Huu", homemade soy milk in Thai street food style, vegan-friendly!

  • "Nam Tao Huu" is one of Chinese healthy menu that very famous in Thai street food for a long time through our people history. If you have ever come to Thailand and have opportunities to go to local street food you will find it with a fried dough called "PaTonGo" These are one of the best combination of our Thai delicious breakfast menu and also it can be dinner snack too.
    Recipes
    soy bean 1 kg.(dried weight)
    peanut 100-150g.(dried weight)
    drinking water 4.5 L. (for blending)
    You can add sugar in your Nam Tao Huu while it's still hot. or flavor it with Green tea powder or sesame seed or whatever you want!
    Topping
    1.agar -Just water and agar are boiled together.
    2.red bean in syrup -boiled red beans in water until cooked then boil it 2rd round with syrup just about 5 min.
    3.basil seeds -just pour water in it or you can pour water through to wash it once before soak it in warm water about 5 min and drain.
    4.sago -boiled sago in boiling water for 15min (cover with the lid) then leave it for about 8 hrs then wash it with drinking water then boiled it again for 15 min (also cover with the lid) and rest it for an hour.
    5.barley-just boiled until cooked.
    *if you don't want to put peanut in the recipes just take it out and decrease the amount of water.
    **you can start with 500g.(dried weight) soy bean for beginner.
    ***please make sure you don't have any allergic with soy and peanut!
    why I recommend to put "pandan leaves" into the soy milk in the first 10 min of boiling?
    Because pandan leaves have their own unique scent and flavor so it can cover the bean smell and make the taste of Nam Tao Huu goes well in overall.
