I got this along with mario back in ‘88 for Christmas. One of the best days ever for me as a kid
Once you get the hair grab move, you can keep kneeing them for more damage. Don't throw them right away as it doesn't do much damage.
If you do the knee thing, Chin dies within 2 iterations, but if you throw him, it takes 4 or 5 throws depending on how many “accidental” knees you get it.
Love your playthroughs. There is nothing like a classic game player who shows their passion for it. Great work.

TBH I loved the AVGN movie. Sure it was somewhat low budget, ok really low budget compared to hollywood. But it was fun and entertaining. It was a legit film imo. Very proud of James on that one. Can't wait to see how he does horror Cinemassacre style.
Charlie Ricker yeah, i love his lo-fi and low budget approach/look to his videos, especially horror projects. I’m also looking forward to seeing his horror movie, fingers crossed it doesn’t take nearly as long as the AVGN movie.
Utilizing the jump kick more often would make for an easier DD experience. It doesn't take a lot of energy away from the enemy but it can be your friend. Especially if you get into a good rhythm with it.
Double dragon soundtrack is amazing!
Funny, I recently tried beating this game but can only reach the final level before I started playing DD2:TR. I've yet to beat any DD game so far. After I beat DD2:TR, I'll probably return to this again, but this'll still be a fun watch.
Also, the biggest question of all, why don't they all use guns? lol
Loved this game as a kid in the 80,s! Never could finish it though. Final boss with machine gun blew me away every damn time!!

Recently beat this for the first time. Excellent game from start to finish!
The Marble Madness at the end was full on entertainment. Ive so been there, almost at the end of the game, and the stupid time runs out. That game is addicting as hell. Im surprised there wasnt any more games made in that series.
Good job on the Double Dragon. Theres one game I dont think Ill ever beat. Them ceiling carrots get me every damn time.

Arcade version of Marble Madness is a MILLION times better than the crummy NES port. Trackball for the win. The music is also far superior.

Greatest arcade game of its time, broke the mold from Atari style. NES game alas was a childhood letdown - awesome to own the game, only to have the cave levels be on stupid hard mode on acid without having the elbow move.

I remembered finding a glitch on my own when I was like 6 because I thought you were supposed to climb those pipe things on the wall towards the end of mission 1, so I walked up it and all the way to the top of the screen

Inb4 NO BABA spam, but I really love this game. Post Apocalypse world, ravaged hy nuclear war. And yet Bimmy goes off to save his girlfriend Marian from a bunch of dudes and then he ventures throughout the city to--ABOBO!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!

Wasn’t really a glitch but I but beat up the first two guys on mission 1 without knocking them down to obtain the hearts quicker. If I had known about the bat glitch I would have used that instead.
This is one of the funnest wonky games i know of.

Marble Madness is my favorite NES game to play for high score. I have a pb of 179,770. I'm going for 180k but I choke every time I have the opportunity which isn't too often.

I notice people ask a lot of the same questions over and over. I've heard Mike and James repeat the same answers to the same questions. Though, I think people keep on asking about an AVGN movie sequel, not because they don't know that he's already said "no", but because they want an actual GOOD AVGN movie since nobody really liked the movie.

It was not a long nerd episode. It was a B movie, with monsters and all of the things that James loves. I would love some more Mike in the movie.. oh well. Also some characters were underused..

Tbh the nerd videos are now my least looked forward content from CM, after a year of nearly nothing that last one felt pretty stale and half hearted on James’ part. Not his fault he now has a lot more of a busy life and he’s played that character for over a decade things are bound to go down hill, but I really think it’s time to shelve the nerd before it damages its own legacy. I much prefer just these straight play throughs and the James and Mike Monday stuff, I wish James would just join in with that a bit more, while concentrating on his other projects. Just my two cents :d
