This is one of my favorite books of 2024 so far! I pre-ordered from Honford and got the paperback early, which is something I greatly appreciate! No spoilers but the chapter at the end with the cat made me cry, it was so beautiful and touching. Loved all the commentary in this book and the body horror when it popped up, so glad to see you make a video review of it because it's an amazing book.
Cranking out quality content, mami!!! You're spoiling us! 😍😍
Willow: You ready for a weird one?
Me: Ye-eass!
Love you book choices , fascinating
Given that it’s day 4 of half term, I relate to the idea of being a puddle of jelly… in mind and body 😂
being jellied up to people
sounds horrifying enough,
I will definitely check it out:
thank you for another weird
surprising recommendation. 🌷
This one was a lot of fun. I really enjoyed the weirdness and would have liked to have seen more of it, it definitely felt like it could have been longer
I bought it a couple of minutes into your critique. It sounds fascinating even if flawed. Going to go start it right now.
I really like bizarre books, so I absolutely need to read this. 🥰🖤
The premise sort of reminds me of Voracious by Wrath James White, because of how people seek out a quick fix to their problems.
willow!! have you read "a darker shade: new stories of body horror from women writers"? it's a short story collection with stories from authors including margaret atwood and cassandra khaw. I picked it up off the shelf and thought you'd like it 😃 the cover is beautiful (with the snakes)! I also picked up paradise rot and sister, maiden, monster!
Thanks for the recommendation
This sounds like a fascinating companion to some of Laird Barron’s work. Gotta check it out. Thank you!
As a former theme park employee, I find this both fascinating and tremendously humorous. I will definitely be reading this one. Thank you ❤
wow! it sounds so weird! keep sharing the amazing korean lit recommendations. so here for them!
Interesting! But it doesn't tempt me enough to read it. Thanks!
Willow please read Monstrilio by Gerardo Sámano Córdova!🤭
Got a review copy :)
Willow! My daughter is in the Disney college program, interning at the parks in Orlando. What do you think? Should I read this?
Always ready for a weird a$$ book hahaha Specially if it's been called horror and political LOL
Have you read Cry to Heaven by Anne Rice?
Goddamit! What is this book?
You were hungry for more? Well, each to their own. Life is too short for what sounds like an overdose of the camp-bizarre.
Life is too short for fun, creative, experimental things? Woah, that’s a take.
I'm not a big TH-cam GAL, but your channel has popped out to easily be the BEST and MOST CREATIVE channel on this site. I find your work to be extremely groundbreaking and highly detail oriented, not only that but also BRAVE! Keep fighting the good fight WILLOW! We have work to do in the world, making it a safer place for ALL CREATURES. 🏳🌈🏳⚧✡
Wow, thank you so much! What an incredible compliment!
