Turnover of the New School Building of Carmona Elementary School and Awarding of the SSF for the Garment Industry

President Benigno S. Aquino III witnessed the turnover of the new school building of Carmona Elementary School in Cavite as part of the government’s fulfillment in addressing the deficiency of classrooms and school buildings in the country.
He also witnessed the transfer of the Shared Services Facility (SSF) for the Garment Industry to the Covenant Community Service Cooperative (CCSC) in Carmona.
In his statement, the President highlighted the accomplishments of his administration such as the 18,000 kilometers of completed infrastructure projects, excluding those constructed through the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects.
He also emphasized his government’s efforts in addressing the shortage in textbooks, the completion of 185,000 schools, the implementation of the K-12 program, and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) programs for high school graduates.
Furthermore, he stressed that the administration intensified programs for the health of the family through PhilHealth and the expansion of the Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT).
All of these benefits, according to the President, were accomplished in six years due to the cooperation, resolve and support of the Filipino people.
Before the turnover of the new school building and the awarding of the SSF Garment Industry, President Aquino led the inspection of the four-storey, 20-classroom school building constructed by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) in partnership with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and the Department of Education (DepEd).
