    Crazy thing about tail stalls, that's actually what helped me get the confidence to learn to drop in.

    A tip I like to share with people for tail stalls is to think about where you want your body to be above the coping, aim for that and almost forget about your board. Just trust your feet and the board with be there.
    The same applies with Ollie to tail.
    All the best. Rich in Sweden.

      This is what i tell people with pretty much every type of grind, more so like rails. When someone’s scared about 50/50 a rail I’m like forget about the board, just jump up on to the rail and your board will follow or it won’t but you’ll be up on it and will be way less likely to fall, usually once people commit and see what I’m talking about they aren’t nearly as scared about the board slipping out off the rail, sure they might slip out still but it’s usually down the rail as opposed to off to one side of the rail

    Excellent thoughts on the B/S disaster. 100% on getting your board further up on the coping. I learned these on small-medium transitions with noping, except I had a pretty low set-down when I got into the backside disaster. Within a month or so of getting comfortable, I went straight to an overhead quarterpipe with nasty hang-up coping (thin and sticks out a little extra) and did indeed hang up and got a really bad concussion. I'm just getting back on the board after 11 months. This isn't to scare anyone, I'm just encouraging people to get this particular trick dialed and in proper form, so you don't make the same mistake I did. Cheers!

    Where did you get that jumper from Zack?? Love it, don't worry I'm from the UK so we won't bump into each other wearing the same thing🤣

    Loving the transition tutorials. Lots of great info. I actually have a more specific question. How do you bail when you land on transition with your front foot on and back foot off?
    I was trying early grab backside air low on the transition and landed this way. My front foot kept going and my back foot drug behind. I didn't feel like there was anything I could do to get out of this position. I hit the waterfall and my knee buckled sideways and now I'm off the board for a few weeks. It's frustrating cause other than maybe being more flexible I don't know what I could have done differently.

    • @ZackDowdy
      @ZackDowdy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That sounds like a pretty complicated situation but it might just be that your pulling up your board higher in the front, so your front foot stays in place while the back foot leaves the board because the leverage/pull on the board. Maybe try grabbing further down on the board and trying to center balance.

    hi zack...
    i skate 3ft tall miniramp and the coping popped out so much like pool coping.. everytime i try to fakie bonk noseblunt.. i always ended up with fakie bonk disaster.. even when i tried to bonk so hard.. still no chance to get the nose on the coping.. the closest i got is behind the front truck..never passed the front truck..
    can you give a tutorial about how to fakie bonk on pool coping?
    sorry for my english.. i hope you understand what im saying..

    I notice for the popping out, you said to have the front foot first on the deck (outside the bowl), but all your demo your back foot is the first to land on the deck. Just wanted to point that out. I still love your video tho

    • @ZackDowdy
      @ZackDowdy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Solid point! Overtime you can land on your dominant foot, when learning it’s an easy way to pull yourself up. I should have touched this!
