I think it's good to give viewers a peek at the amount of work that goes into your weekly episodes. This is only the post-production, Folks. I can't imagine how much thought and planning goes into preproduction. And then there is the execution of the plan! Those of us who work in production know. Thank you for all that you share with us. You tell great stories.

Most people have no idea the amount of time editing, rendering and uploading a simple 20 minute video takes,, it's good that you show your viewers what it takes, as I'm sure they will appreciate your vid's all the more..

if any1 ever asked me "how d'you make it big on youtube?" i'd say 1. "become a professional" and then 2. refer them to your youtube channel. you do everything to the t and that shows and always has, constantly such high quality videos over so many years! i really appreciate the no-clickbait-titles (thank you nicki! :) and the honesty in all you do. i'm not a very techy person and i still enjoyed this video, because it's a wynn/wynn video :)

And now I know why your videos look so great and very professional when my wife and I watch every Sunday. I have been watching since the RV days which convinced us to sell everything and live full time in a Class A RV. When you switched to sailing and neither one of you had any experience in sailing I thought you were crazy but it took a lot of guts and determination in setting a path and executing the plan. We are inspired every week with the topics you share and the experiences you go through. I know when we run into difficulties I just think back on one of your episodes where things went sideways and how you kept your focus and resolved the problem. Great job as always. Just remember to have fun and love each other.

Someone may have already mentioned, but I hope you have placed a reservation for Starlink Satellite service. Once they approve it for moving vehicles like RVs and boats, and once they get enough satellites up, it should prove to be a huge difference in your ability to communicate and also safety.
Love everything about your videos. Top quality and professional. I work in episodic entertainment and your work is just as good, and considering the two person crew/talent and remote locations, likely better. Sometimes I don't know how you do it week in and week out and am thankful for the rest you both get when you take a week or two off. From various aspects of shooting, creating a story, editing, music, sound edit, VO, etc. All just really well done.

its high time i became a patreon, well over due and being the best YT sailing channel and the first to inspire me to set sail.
funny story i was looking for RV info online to do a ski road trip in usa (im from nz) and a YT channel poped up with these two slighltly geeky yet really interesting RVers, i was hooked and have been watching ever since. i never did the RV ski trip, swapped my house instead and now bought a yacht and getting rusty sailing skills back up. see ya out there this summer Wynnses.

Best editing on TH-cam 100%, 99% of marriages couldn't survive a week much less a month of production you two do.
I have to admit when you 2 were stripping the solar off the Rv for the boat and taking lessons on sailing I was very doubtful it would be a long term endeavor searching the unknowns.

I've heard a common rule of thumb for TH-cam content providers is one hour of editing per one minute of video. Clearly theirs is somewhat longer due to the constraints of boat life and the above average quality of their videos.

    • @jeffcanar7294
      @jeffcanar7294 3 ปีที่แล้ว

Delos and Uma have done similar episodes, and yeah, these sailing channels are putting in every bit of 40+ hours of effort per week, for a 20-25 minute video. So yeah, their views/patreons/subscribers etc... do enable the lifestyle. But to get the views necessary, it's a full time job equivalent of effort. These folks are lounging around day after day. Far from it.

They're all completely owned by Apple at this point. With the new M1 processor its not remotely close. Try reading some tech magazines.

I knew from first watching Kara and Nate from the beginning of their adventures and then you two that a lot of work goes into the videos. However, this just reinforces how hard you and other travel content creators work to provide us with awesome scenery, fun exploring, the ups and downs of sailing and the highlights of your lives. For all of this, I'm extremely grateful! 👍😊 Thank you!

What a job with the media, just to get it right then the time needed to upload. On top of all of that there is route planning and sailing with watched to be done. I'm sure that 24 hours is not enough.
What a great job all round and on a side note I'm now fully up to date with your sailing adventure.

You two are champs, having knowledge and experience in video editing work, I'm very impressed in the current technology your using. Not cheap I'm sure, but when I did my education, this technology was extremely expensive for an individual to handle. Your ability to produce great content shows your aptitude with all this tech, love it. Safe journey's

Having a printer/scanner on board is magic.
Used to do the "paperwork cha-cha" down in Mexico years ago, when NONE of the offices were in the same building, many had no copiers or ones you could not use.
Sometimes took a full day or 2 to get checked in...

I am not a tech-ee and really enjoyed this video. To watch how it's all put together , I really appreciate the many hours it takes for you to complete a video every Sunday for our enjoyment. Simply amazing!

Many a cruising TH-cam content creator has mentioned how much time it takes to produce their videos, but this is the first time I've seen any explain why it takes so much time. All I can say as a viewer is that it's worth it for the quality of the result.
Well, that and as a Patron, I'm upping my tier to recognize the effort that goes into producing those videos.

I am not techy per say but I have worked on the production side of things (commercial production for over 20 years) and I have to say this video is a sample size of just how much work you both put in to your vlog and social media. You both have such talent and put so much hard work into creating your vlog and it shows. You make it all look so effortless at times but this just shows that you make a great team and produce one of the best channels on TH-cam. I honestly thank you for sharing all aspects of your process and your journey. I truly enjoy every post. Thank you. - Hugh

My wife and I as long time subscribers just became new patreons, and wanted to express how much we really like the thorough detail of the processing power you have chosen to do all that you do with the videos especially. ONE key point we discussed about your other setup. We were wondering if you guys were aware of how much your current setup of solar panels and LifePo4 was going to be such an ENORMOUS factor in how you could operate down the road. After losing multiple items especially the genset, looking back what an enormous decision to incur that expense when you did. We still marvel at how you have been able to operate for what….over 2 years?....the way you have under that setup. It really speaks VOLUMES for that decision and investment when you chose to make it. I can’t imagine how the addition of just one more crippling element in the area of energy management would have done to your already incredibly challenging situation from leaky windows to….well, hell, it’s too depressing to list what all you guys have had to deal with. I think you guys win the current definition of cruising…..”working on your boat in exotic places”. We have a 43 foot trawler and have lived on it for quite a few years for 6 months out of the year in the Bahamas so we are very familiar with boat projects and how untimely almost everyone of them are…..but the addition of doing it full time and in constant foreign ports and especially in covid lockdowns, you two are truly survivors. Our prayers and encouragement are with you in all of your journeys and especially in these challenging times. Please take care and continue to stay safe.

I knew that effort was going into these videos, but t I really do appreciate the time that you two put into making your content.
I live vicariously through you all while working supply chain for an aerospace company and obtaining my MBA. I've always wanted to do what you all are actually living. It provides me the motivation to keep pushing myself until I'm able to be out their in my own adventure. It also helps me stay positive in hard times. Seeing smiles and hearing light hearted banter is a gift at this time in my life.
    Sincerest thanks! Wishing you well!
