Lol, that’s not how non venomous snake bites are. They don’t have fangs, just a bunch of small, hooked teeth. Other than that, this was a very entertaining story.
Meaghan Brennan yep. You have to push your skin into a snakes mouth to unhook it’s teeth if it really grabs hold. I have nonvenomous snakes, multiple different species, and I’ve definitely taken a few bites. The pain lasts about a minute, then the bite just kind of itches with snakes 4 foot and under. Bigger may leave a bruised feeling, but really aren’t bad. Of coarse really big snakes probably hurt pretty bad. Biggest I’ve been bit by was a 7ft Colombian Boa. It wasn’t that bad. Bee stings are worse. Still dog and cat bites are almost always worse than any nonvenomous snake

The book was made in 1995 so i'm pretty sure that researching was'nt a thing at the time.
