Timberlinn i think it was meant to show that he still loved her. i think that scene and the one where he tells the woman from NYADA(can’t remember her name) that she should accept Rachel into NYADA. it shows that he still loved and cared for her. also idk if it was intentional but when you watch the show again in season 1 Jessie tells Rachel that he wants to make all her dreams come true and that scene is kinda like him keeping his promise and trying to get her into NYADA
I dont think we should put two girls against each other when there both amazingly talented. They both deserved the best and so did others in glee like kurt, Tina, santana, and more I think they all should have gotten more solos equally.

I think in the modern often judgmental world with it's unrealistic standarts it's the best thing a man (or a woman) can do for a woman: just keep telling her she's fine, remind her to injoy herself and help her reduce anxiety.
