Hello! I’m publishing at the end of May, and I submitted a request over 2 weeks ago now, and I still haven’t heard anything back yet. I hope I hear something back soon. Thank you for the information!
You’re very welcome! Hopefully they’re not too backlogged 😂
Thank you that was very helpful. I'm hoping to self publish as soon as I get my LCCN. IF put September & end up publishing sooner does that make a difference?
That’s great! So far as I know, it shouldn’t matter if you publish sooner than the date you put on your LCCN request, since I think it’s just an estimated publication date anyway.
Hello, thanks for this wonderful video. I have one quick question that after getting the LCCN over the Email, where do we have to mail the copy to the National Library of congress, and at what address?
It should give you the address when you submit your request, but the one listed on their website is:
Library of Congress
U.S. Programs, Law, and Literature Division
Cataloging in Publication Program
101 Independence Avenue, S.E.
Washington, D.C. 20540-4283
and can we still get an LCCN after publishing the book on KDP and other platforms?
Unfortunately I think it has to be done before publishing.
