That "little tree plant" also looks like a tiny Mimosa tree that we have all over the southeast! Lol! I have 2 in my backyard!
Yea I live in new orleans, we have them everywhere. I've tried to pot them lol, never works
One of my first houseplants was a Boston fern, my mom got me a 4 inch pot as an office warming gift. Now it’s a massive chocker that has it’s own plant stand, the humidity where I live is around 30% but it’s still happy and healthy. The best things I’ve done for it was put it in a self-watering planter ☺️
That has been the key to my success with ferns as well. I use wicking pots. They seem to be happy as long as they have that consistent damp soil. I live in a very dry climate so I cannot provide them with high humidity. But so far, the soil tradeoff has worked for me.
I’ve had no luck with them! Have had two and they’ve just died off and I’ve tried everything. Maybe just not meant to be.
I had trouble with ferns until I started converting them to semi-hydro in leca. I was nervous but my crocodile and Boston both started thriving once they were in leca.
Ooh....I like the way the rabbit's foot is mounted like that! Great idea!
I live in Hawai’i and we got sensitivums weeds and they grow so quickly and wild. I’ll look at them a little differently now!
Ferns are meant for outdoors only in my opinion. They drop leaves, suffer from loss of humidity, and I gave up on them. Your plants are super.
Jump back into the fern game by growing a staghorn fern. They tolerate low humidity indoors and do well in a wide range of temperatures. Best of all they can take being dry between waterings, in fact they will die quicker from overwatering than most anything else. Young plants are inexpensive and once you get used to their watering needs the plants grow quick enough. Stick wirh the most common type (bifurcatum and its varieties) and stay away from exotic species and varieties until you have more experience. Good luck!
Try a Suzi Wong. They grow better indoors. Ferns hate draughts and smoking inside.
People always say that Rex Begonias are really difficult plants but they were one of my first plants, probably within the first 15 that I got, and they have been one of the easiest plants I've had. Funny to see how different plant keepers have different menace plants haha
I bought a lovely one from Walmart. It lived for about two months maybe and then died. I could not figure out what went wrong.
@@wyntersteele1a interesting. Usually people have problems with watering or powdery mildew, so that could have been it?
I dunno, I just get really lucky with begonias I think 😂
I think it mostly depends on your environment and growing conditions. If you live somewhere with suitable conditions for begonias, you will find them easy. And it you don't, well, it'll be more difficult to take care of them.
@@lizberezin2919 that's true, good point!
I totally blame Nick for my plant obsession. Still my home has never been more beautiful 60 plants and counting Thanks Nick
I grew up on San Diego, CA. My late father had a couple of shade houses. In the middle of one of them, he hung a large ball of moss completely covered in Rabbit's foot fern. That man could grow everything that didn't require the cold (no tulips or lilacs for example). I have a fair number if ferns in my collection that are doing well. But I only have one Begonia, they don't as a rule don't like me very much, sadly. I have been a subscriber for at least six years. I am currently unemployed and cannot be a patron, however, as soon as I am back to work, I will be! Your channel is one of my favorites.
I am OBSESSED with you, Nick. I have to have my “Nick Time” every day. Your knowledge of plants amazes me.
I love ferns, they’re possibly my favorite houseplant. I’ve found the rabbit’s foot to be one of the easiest to keep alive 😂
I've always had Madagascar Jewels growing up! My grandfather has the mother plant and it sprouts babies like crazy. My mom has at least 5 or 6, from seedlings to larger ones
That peperomia is incredible, I’m excited to see how it matures for you!
I would never have guessed plant 2 was an anthurium. It looks like Begonia luxurians to me!
Aww Muffin is so cute! My kitties made appearances (on their own) in my last video, too
Soon you're going to have Madagascar Jewel growing in all your planters, they shoot their seed so make sure your cat doesn't eat them off the floor. I love mine, they're beautiful and super easy.
Each plant is unique in its own way. My kind of variety and video! Many thanks! 👌🥰🪴
Every plant you featured is a dream. I'm on your vibe. Super!
I have a Madagascar Jewel plant. As it matures the white on the leaves goes away and the leaves are just a solid green. I just love this plant. So different looking and not many people have them.
I've just recently been getting to know Begonias. That leaf is beautiful!
love your cat.. so cute 😍
Hey Nick, hope you're well. 🙂
That first one reminded me of a cross between a Palm tree and a Fern. 🌴🌿
Congrats on the patreon. 💚💜💚🇦🇺
there are a lot of palmate anthuriums, a. polyschistum is maybe the easiest to grow, and the smallest, it's a rather common houseplant in Europe.
"I do have a lot of plant art, so I do need to branch out..." You are on fire with the puns today, bro. 🔥
I have had a Euphorbia Leuconeura since the early 90s. One of my customers had a plant growing in her office and I was thoroughly impressed with it. It was over 5 feet tall. She gave me one of the babies and I have had them sprouting up all over the place. They do bloom and get a white bloom at the top and when the blooms go to seed they will pop the seeds in every single pot in the general vicinity. You’ll have them popping up everywhere!! It’s very easy To grow and doesn’t really care about the environment. I have some I put outside in the summer, they thrive. I even put them in a window in my daughters room, and she doesn’t take care of it, and it will thrive. The leaves will keep some sort of veining however they do fade, and I do not remember if it’s the lighting that causes it to adjust. I believe it is the case. I share plants all over the place and finding a neat plant to share as gifts! You’ll also find little black seeds all over the floor, just be careful your cat doesn’t consume them.
Im sure you’ve figured it out by now but they are annuals. After seeding they will die back. So it helps to put them in a large terrarium and get a nice little forest. It happens pretty quick
Whaaat⁉️ That Euphorbia leuconeura!
Where can I get one? I need that in my life!
There’s no more room, but I’ll make some!
I’m loving that pot too. Hilarious 🤣.
Omg the “little tree plant” is so cute
I happened to order that same anthurium today! Such a cool look!
I'm digging that anthurium. It kinda reminds me of the begonia luxurians. Anyway, I like it!
Maybe it's just me but I always get a big smile when your cat comes and you give it some love 😍
Deadass thought you were holding some marijuana on the right.
Now I want to buy some plants!
Hope you are doing well Nick, Great to see another one of your plant videos 💚💚☺️, Hi to Muffin too !!😍
the anthurium leaves look like a begonia luxurians !
Cat content within the first 2 minutes. I am absolutely thrilled to watch this video. It can only go up from here!!
Hi Muffin, love to see you 😚
I've been trying to find a euphorbia leuconera here in Seattle--yours is a perfect example of how pretty they are when young. They lose those gorgeous veins when they mature, but that can take quite a while.
Hi Nick! I really love all of the plants you featured in the video. The "little tree plant" is so cute. I'm going to be on the look out for these. Muffin is so cute! I'm always glad when she makes an appearance. Good luck with your Patreon account! Thank you so much for sharing!
Love love love black kitties ❤️🐈⬛🐈⬛
yup that first one is a weed in my backyard. The way you have it, it looks beautiful!! I think it does have some medicinal value in ayurveda.
The Anthurium looks like it would be in danger of being mistaken for something to smoke 😂
You had a like from me at “kitty paws(pause)”. 🤣❤️
New wish list plant 🪴
Euphorbia Leuconera. 😍
Gorgeous cat! So glad you're getting on with the fern. I've been binge watching your videos and you've said in the past that ferns are princesses which is true...but my maidenhair fern is one of my favourites 😍
I’m glad you have luck with maidenhair ferns I love them but can’t seem to not kill do you have any advice on how you grow them ?
@@barbarajustice9499 I have a naturally humid apartment (I live in Portugal) so it likes the conditions. I also feel its soil every couple of days to see if it needs watering. It does better with filtered water or rainwater and I keep it a little away from a west facing window. I hope that's helpful :)
Livla thank you
Biophytum sensitivum is absolutely a whole mood, need immediately
All my ferns are growing in some soil/sphagnum mixture in a pot with no drainage, in East windows, and they're doing pretty well. Then again I am probably an overwaterer rather than an underwaterer
With the way plant prices have shot up , yes , looks like I’ll be buying ‘weeds’ 🤣
I feel you about fern 😔 . They are among my first plants I bought since I started interested about plants. I bought 3 tiny small ferns for my first terrarium. Being a noob in terrarium I overwatered my terrarium and it grew mold so I replanted them somewhere else but they eventually died. However I still want to try growing one and I found a cheap rabbit foot fern just before new year of 2021. It survive against all odds to this day.
Yeah the first plant is growing like weed around here and me and mom always get rid of them whenever we find them growing in our pots outdoor 😂
Would the Kangaroo Paw fern work as well on the wall mount as the Rabbit Foot ?
Love that euphorbia and it’s pot ! 💚
Love your videos! So upbeat, fun and informative!
That last pot 🤣
Loved the fern... Reminded me that I need to get a fern too... By the way, have a suggestion for you to buy a really beautiful plant... Dracaena Surculosa... Japanese Bamboo... Got mine 15 days back....
I just got a rabbit foot's fern but I call it tarantula fern... I love it... I have a great relationship with ferns so I have high hopes of keeping it alive... Unlike most of my peperomia who died when spring came 🙁
You are honestly a complete hoot!!
Nick, I killed my anthurium polyschistum. :-( I don't know what happened. Followed rules on soil , watering and lighting. It did not turn yellow. It just became limp while still being green. Then it just became brown. Checking the soil, moisture was at the right level. (sighs) My crystallinum is healthy so i really don't know what happened. Love from the Philippines!
get muffin her own channel NOW
Enjoyed your video that was a good idea with the rabbit foot fern I really liked the peparomia you had never seen one of those Muffin is beautiful my daughter has a cat that looks just like her but hers is a male named Stormy he is 16 years old thanks for sharing

Have A Great Day Nick... Muffin 🐈⬛ (Muffin I Put You Before Nick's Plants) AND All Of Nick's Plants!!!🪴🪴🪴🪴🪴🪴🪴 Did I Do Good Muffin???
thank you queen
I love your videos 🔥🙌
Kitty paws/pause 😹 🥰
Where did you get your glasses clothes you’re from or is that what they call or was it just an oversize flower jar
Not sure where he got his, but I have purchased several from Michaels, the craft store. The prices seem to be a lot better than a lot of nurseries or house plant stores.
Your little pot guy with the wiener 😂.. I think you have a euphorbia in it… bahahaha. I’m determined to find one or make one..
I LOVE MUFFINNNNNN😭😭😭😭
I enjoyed watching😌🤲💖💖💖
Hi Muffin !💚💚💚
do you have the grow lights (on your shelves) name posted somewhere?
Did you check his description box? I believe he has a link there. Soltech, I think
@@luckycharm5589 Soltech doesn’t make stick style lights unfortunately. I double checked to make sure. These seem to project a nice tone, the ones I currently have project a off greenish white light.
Ohhh. I misread
Hiiii!
Love muffin!
Love❤Muffin!
Miss baby you are so cute!!!!!!! Muffin!!!
Hi Muffinbutt!!!

Hi Muffin.
💚
She looked a lil annoyed when her went back lol
Your peperomia might be a peperomia rugosa ecuador
I love the look of having plants in glass enclosures, but I keep having issues with mold :/ any tips on how to prevent that? :)
Springtails!
Give it a grow😂🤣
