Hahah it feels like it lately but I think that’s the joy’s of sailing through winter 😂 hopefully onwards and upwards from here as it’s getting warmer Thankyou so much 😆😊
one of our lessons, and there are still so many for us to learn, is, even when we think we have dropped the anchor perfectly, always do a test pull back on it. We go up to 2000 revs for 30 seconds to see if we pull the anchor. That helps most times, obviously in 40knts plus, anything goes. x
Sounds like a plan I think! 🍱 We haven’t got a new one yet. We looked at the ultra but decided we’d save a bit of money and get a mantis in Greece possibly. About half the price and seem to have good reviews Aswell
Geez mate your getting soft wearing a wetsuit 😉 . See I reckon you needed a bigger boat for all ‘the utensils’ …and the cats n dogs 😊 Great to see you having fun. 🎈⛵️
use the GPS history or your anchor watch program, should at least ball park you and regardless of visibility in the water, should be lucky to find it. Luck to ya's, Cheers, that is, in the future.
Great advice Thankyou 👌🏻 it was in a pretty small area but Jase couldn’t see a thing, but didn’t help that it was late Arvo and no sunlight basically by the time we got there 😂 Thankyou 😆 cheers 🍻
Nice video! You need a Mantus M1 anchor or something similar, I recommend getting one 2 sizes bigger than what's recommended on the manufacturer chart. I didn't get a good look at your anchor it looks like a Delta or CQR plough type which have poor holding. I see you have a cryo vac I bought one a few weeks ago and they're awesome. Meat cryovacced is supposed to be good in the freezer for 18 months and won't freezer burn if you get all the air out.
Yessss that’s what we plan to get 😍 just waiting to get back into Greece, they don’t have them here in turkey, we looked at the ultra but it’s about double the price! We have a delta and we’ve got 10mm chain. We definitely have had a few issues plus that night that turned into a disaster we had anchored sown where where it dipped down really quick like an embankment so wasn’t ideal for holding but we had to anchor in the dark and we’re too afraid to get to close to shore Loving the vacuum sealer machine is awesome! We’ve done some provisioning and divided up nuts etc too, tried olives but some didn’t work cuz they were too oily and sucked up the oil so didn’t seal properly but we read a tip to freeze liquid stuff upright first and then vaccum seal. So I’m giving that a go, and that just reminded me I have some olives still in the freezer 😂 better go get those out!
My query on your most recent vid about whether you scuba dive... answered here. No you don't. Suggestion. Learn to do so. You will have so much more adventures and a practical skill as well. The 'floaty device" is his BCD, buoyancy compensator device. It allows you to maintain neutral buoyancy no matter what depth you are at. As you go down you become less buoyant with increased water pressure. The BCD allows you to be neutral.
Hey Rick, yes we actually do scuba dive, we got our open water a couple of years ago but we’ve probably done about 15 dives so far. In turkey it is illegal to hire gear and dive alone so we still need to pay for someone to dive with us regardless and we only needed one person down there to retrieve the anchor and the rest of us up on the boat driving and doing other things. So you’re saying the floaty looking thing under his tank is part of his BCD? Usually the BCD is your vest😆 never seen one one of the blown up plastic floaties on someone before? We plan to purchase our own gear at some point hopefully so we can start getting some more dive experience as it’s on of our favourite things to do. Thanks for your comment and thanks for watching 😁
Seven dollars a loaf 🍞 of sourdough at Woolworths.😊Did you know we just had another big storm ⛈ over the Goldie, dropped over 200mm this evening. Flooding everywhere and it’s a drama. Please desist from doing any cooking videos! Leave all that for a bra less Florence Pugh cooking video. So I don’t get out much, actually I have never been over to Turkey 🇹🇷 so any on land adventure are going to be very cool. Get to know all the local natives in Turkey or where ever you maybe. Good luck!
Yeah definitely cheaper than home that’s for sure! Yeah I was just chatting to my mum today on the sunny coast and she said more flooding, you guys can’t catch a break it seems! Hahah don’t worry cooking video’s will be seperate from the episodes so then if you don’t want to watch you can just skip past those. Lots of votes for cooking video’s, I’m actually surprised We’re just about to leave turkey for Greece but will definitely get some more footage out and about with the locals 👌🏻😆 Thanks for watching 😊😊
Very cool of the restaurant manager to do that for you.👍👍👍🇬🇧
You never seem to have it easy. so nice to see you are both smiling despite what has happened.

It was pretty fresh I reckon about 17 in the air and probably 5-10 air temp 🥶
