Sadly, we in America don't get the pleasure of seeing our hard earned tax money going towards sophisticated sketch comedy such as this. 😔 But don't feel too sorry for us. We get to pay for Donald Trump's many many golf trips. So we have that going for us, which is nice....healthcare would be nicer, but this is good too. 😀
Deliberately writing and performing a sketch so bad it goes all the way around and becomes good is almost impossible. (30 Rock pulled it off several times.)
This was the first KITH sketch I bumped into on TH-cam or 'Sick of the Swiss'. Growing up in Switzerland I never heard of them before about 2014. I'm laughing tears watching their videos.
I started reading "The Fountainhead" at a friend's apartment as a lark. I got through the first couple chapters, and I was all like, "does it just go on like this?". Architecture man, who knew. Actually I've been visiting "confederalsocialist" channel.
Kevin McDonald as an adult baby is viscerally upsetting. This sketch is genius.
Imho, man's greatest role is still playing Dr. Jordan B. Peterson at all times
Mark: "C'mon guys let's put our thinking caps on! We need to write a really good part for Kevin to play in this sketch."
Ironically "what a bad sketch" has to be one of the best lines I've ever seen in sketch comedy.
I've had "Don't blame me. I stubbed my toe." stuck in my head all these years and couldn't remember what skit it was from and now I finally get to know.
You've gotta love the 'Girlfriends' box in the flow chart. Classic.
Girlfriends.
Plural.

Carelessly breaking the expensive prop vase is the cherry on top, and deserves a high five, well done and screw you taxpayers!
I feel I got my money's worth.
Yeah! Screw you, taxpayers!
Because you don't pay taxes. You're a parasite.
So did I. But I'm American and it wasn't on my dime, so
...SCREW YOU (CANADIAN) TAXPAYER!

So enjoy your giggles! They're yours!
I love this in 2021 even more than I did in 1991
Me too, friend.
Back when the CBC actually had great, watchable shows and would even let a show mock them openly! Great stuff!
Let's face it. Probably the most honesty we'll see from the CBC was this comedy sketch.
I like how this sketch starts absurd and just spirals from there.
"Wow, what a bad sketch. And in poor taste too."
Don't brame me.
That's what make them great
Deliberately writing and performing a sketch so bad it goes all the way around and becomes good is almost impossible. (30 Rock pulled it off several times.)
"First, I'd like to hay hello to all the tax payers and screw you."
LOL! Love the Kids in the Hall!!
This sketch is not included if you watch it on AMC+ but you can watch it on Amazon Prime
Stop supporting Jeff Bezos and his evil empire, you muppet.
The Monty Python of my generation. Comedy at its finest!
Python reincanuckated
Lucky me, that’s two for me.
Never before have I seen such a perfect explanation of how government funding works.
Hell, if I lived in Canada at the time and realized that the taxes I paid went toward humor like this, I'd feel pretty damn content, nay, proud
You're a fucking idiot.
Awesome Dude! 👍
Any Canadian who doesn't draw some sort of patriotism from Kids in the Hall is either homophobic or lacks a sense of humour imo 🇨🇦
@@in_ur_moms_house worse...the ever curious but never brave enough so they just stay mad.
I'm Canadian and pay taxes. I'm proud that CBC made this.
If only public broadcasting was more like that :P.
Oh man, my brother and I would quote the rickshaw driver over and over again as kids. Not something that would fly these days, haha.

"DOHN BRAME ME!" - me and my friends, many many times while completely drunk in the early 90s
It just did.
Scott’s wholesome belly laugh at 1:15 always cracks me up
Just remember, in the long long ago times someone at the CBC signed off on this....just let that sink in.
Sick, twisted and absolute genius.
Great stuff. Hilarious.
Dough brame me
Almost had me fooled at first... Great piece
Probably one of the best sketches ever in the history of comedy...
The public dollars spent on a single Kids in the Hall episode were a better ROI than an entire season of 22 Minutes.
*without Rick Mercer
And yet, 22 minutes is still one of the least bad things on tv.
The audience has $2 bills! Ah, the days when a dollar *wasn't* pocket change...
Actually, a $2 bill in the early 90s was really still just pocket change.
all change is pocket change once it enters your pocket
@@jasperdoggydude You are technically correct.
How can you tell? Are you watching the original instead of the 360p version in this youtube video?
Loved the reason behind this sketch!
I can't decide what's funnier. Mark saying "wow, what a bad sketch", the "dont brame me" bit, or Kevin in the highchair spilling the cereal 😂
Scott advocating that he be allowed to masterbate in public buildings.
The big miss on this one is a post-scene interview with Bruce taking off his costume, and muttering "Don't judge me, I've got cat bills."
They can’t even write a bad sketch.. we’ll accept for that Christmas episode.
Don't brame me for the sense of humor I developed from watching Kids in the Hall.
Still one of my all time favorite comedy sketches.
This was the first KITH sketch I bumped into on TH-cam or 'Sick of the Swiss'. Growing up in Switzerland I never heard of them before about 2014. I'm laughing tears watching their videos.
This is what Trudeau wakes up to every morning
Yet, Mulroney was in office then.

Wild this is the same guy from Superstore. Mark McKinney as Glenn and Kerry Kenney-Silver as Jerusha = comedy legends
thank you, Canada.
Don't brame me, I stub ma toooooeee!!
This is my favorite KITH sketch.
So many of them live in my head so it's hard to pick one
But idk, it might just be Scott and Mark discussing how sick of the Swiss they are
wow, a sketch i've never seen before! amazing! it's so funny because it's so true
Holy crap, that was so funny!
Bruce's bit about the rickshaw reminded me of a certain Dr. Seuss book.
This is gold.
This sketch was ahead of its time
With what's going on right now, my smile is only below my nose, frozen.
Yes that was the best part, and the rickshaw and baby Kevin were obviously put in to get all 5 cast members in there!
RickshaWhat you talkin' 'bout Willis?
Probably Mark's finest work in the original show.
This one ranks with the Python "Funeral Sketch". ❤
I f****ing shot my jaw to the floor when I seen Bruce!!!!! :()
DON'T BRAME ME!!!
Thank you for intelligence by comedy
Damn, I love KITH but somehow have never seen this skit before. It was definitely getting sketchy before it switched to meta halfway through
There a rickshaw and it still ended up costing some 150,000 $. Genius parliment humour
Reminds me of the skits the IRS did that were revealed recently.
One of my favorites
"Wow, what a bad sketch!"
Only the KITH could make bad looks so good, and so Hi-larious!! XD
this makes up for 1812❤
If it eases the pain by any amount, those amounts are in Canadian dollars

Luckily I'm watching this on TH-cam

Everyone arguing about SNL and Mad TV, who was the better show. Meanwhile, KITH is miles above both-
oh god I can't stop laughing, I am seriously crying while typing this!
Its not easy being a puppet.
Enjoy the Taxpayer Anthem!
haha all the wacky ideas in one
Why does Scott carry condoms around loose like that? You know, they do come in packaging, Scott.
Is obviously just a bit. He's gay, so it's not like he'd even use condoms or any birth control.
Reduce, re-use, recycle 🥲
I thought it was in bad taste, but I had to play it. Sorry.
This makes me happy to live in a country with private media corporations. Even though our army did use taxpayer money to make a video game.
Kevin McDonald likes wearing a diaper a little too much...
Ooh karen hubba hubba

Taxpayers->Federal Gov't->Girlfriends! lol
It was used.
KITH were forward thinking. This sketch was never as relevant as it is right now in 2024
This is Canadian...
That was awesome.
I would voluntarily give my money to keep this show going, plus the money stolen. LMAO
Apparently they're remaking it for Prime, but who knows when or how that'll go 🤞
