That radio chatter between the dispatch and the ranger was fucking top notch. Used the correct phonetic alphabet, relatively quick transmissions, clearly spoken, proper responses between the two, and lastly there was no "over and out" stuff. For those who don't know "Over" means I am done, over to you, "Out" means that you are done with the conversation. Saying "over and out" is basically back back over to you, and I'm gone.

Good ole Hammond, sparing no expense by having his park be filled with puzzles to solve for doing something as simple yet absolutely crucial as making sure the T-Rex gate is locked.

The whole "pattern to properly close the gate" thing really reminds me of this Jurassic Park DVD game I got from Salvation Army as a kid. In it, there was a mini game where you had to properly input the right order of shapes in order to close the Velociraptor paddock before they reached you.

  • @foxtrotnine

Nice, I like this style of analog horror. The "supernatural glitch entity infects the videotape" doesn't really fit with Jurassic Park, like what I've seen in other analog horror vids about JP. However, this greedy ingen corporate vids and found footage style real capture the feel! Nice work!

Pretty much this, JP analog horror can't work with the whole "Video tape starts playing supernatural sounds and starts showing random images" but rather by showing the sheer brutality of the dinosaurs.
Like raptors eating someone alive being caught on camera, or their odd behavios being discussed, casualties of civilians or personel being hidden from the public.

If there were a moment to add something like that I would say it would have to involve nedry hacking the security feed or something else related to him. I would love to see a few creative liberties taken with the characters in the novel/ movie like having Nigeria be a double agent whistleblower instead of a comical sleaze ball out for himself alone. I'm really interested in seeing how this analog horror series is going to play out story-wise.

This was super well voice acted, I remember having conversations almost exactly like this when I went out on calls in remote substations out in the forest near yuba City California. Even though there was a chain link fence between me and around 4 to 5 mi of pure Forest surrounding the junction and a tiny little dirt road that led to it, it was always eerie how pitch black it was and how the night was barely bothered by the light above my head. The only weather and animal proof protection was a little concrete box about 30 ft to my right that I would sometimes go into in order to get out of the rain, The door was thick linseed soaked oak, And it was the only protection from anything I could have at the time. So I could imagine what it would have been like knowing that there's a dangerous animal potentially very close by, fiddling around with something you can barely understand and having to call mission control in order to take a look at it. This is beyond nuts.

@@Skogstrollet8854 Well sort of. The initial incident leading to various prehistoric organisms to eventually spread across the world took place in modern day but the d&d style game would take place many years after the party being on a quest for more supplies and finding out what caused everything to go to shit. Also I thought of an idea where each player chooses a class at the start. Each party member would have a different skill like for example the mechanic can repair worn out or busted materials and the marksman is good with long ranged attacks for example.

That's not how a heart rate monitor works...
Also... That's an overly complicated rebooting process. You don't want to have to worry about timing and durations and stuff when rebooting the locking mechanism on a T-Rex paddock.
