Also important to mention to know your class’s skills that might attack the box. If you have a class with a summon or a DoT passive toggle, turn that shit off before you go into the loot room.
Some summons like Kanna’s, Hayato’s, or Kaiser’s will attack the reward box automatically and ruin everyone’s drop chance. Some classes like I/L or F/P have passive toggles that will slowly tick the box if they stand near it. Bishop’s Origin will persist through the room transition and start shooting the box when you enter.
Turn your shit off when the boss dies.
Just a quick correction. Throughout the fight, the colour of your dot is based on the *damage done so far*. Your comments are still correct for the end of the boss, but as the fight is ongoing, the colour of your dot will change depending on damage ratios of each member.

Finally a video clearly explaining loot etiquette. I always wondered, why cant they make all loot instanced like some other rpgs. Im sure Maplestory is more complicated due to their drop rate system, but i would like to know why the system is the way it is.

I run with a couple of friends currently and we usually just have our strongest divy up the loot, cause theyre usually only running our party boss for a drop that while it would be good for us, him getting stronger helps us push further. We only need him for 1 weekly now and can solo everything else atm. Id say if you can play with friends just divy up stuff based on who needs stuff. If two of you need the same thing make priority. (Person A asked b4 B or Person B only needs X from this boss.)

One point about blinking from the edge of the map: your starting position doesn't affect the location you end up. It is still useful to actually touch the left wall so there can't be confusion about whether someone already blinked or if they just stood in some position the whole time. Or if there's REALLY bad RNG and everyone ends up in the same pile on the left side of the map then you'll have known who blinked and who didn't. But if you notice someone blinking from like the middle of the map, there's no *real* reason wait the cooldown to re-do the teleport.

also: does every boss responds to boss drop rate? or lesser bosses are completely random?
ive seen dominator pend drop back to back with 0% drop rate, and never dropping with 232% daily tries

Are there bosses that can potentially drop 2 or more Shared loot? And if someone wins the blink are they entitled to getting both items? Or is it a pick one and the other loot goes to second place kind of situation?
Blink winner is entitled to everything unless agreed to something else
If the blink is completely random, then what does the initial position matter? It shouldn't matter where you are standing when you press the button, you can still just see who reached furthest to the right side since it's not moving you a certain distance, just placing you at a certain position
it helps our monkey brains to keep things simple and let everyone line up, people can lie and u might not keep track of everyones position

if party leader loot is on, no one can loot anything at all besides party leader
