Does he still have that BS off a grab in Ultimate like I saw years ago? Ice Climbers in Melee and Brawl are definitely grapplers, and a bunch of characters have chain grabs in Melee and I think Falco does in Brawl, but I'm not familiar with that game.

Luigi is a grappler as I understand grapplers. He has a slow but longer range grab responsible for early and late combos, also used for kill confirms. Slow air speed and floaty, so he can’t jump around like a normal smash character He does have a slow fireball and a short range aerial lingering projectile, but neither of these will allow you to win, these just allow you to get grabs you need for damage and kills. All this makes the opponents main game plan to camp, zone and avoid grabs, like you would any other grappler
Occasionally you do see other stages come up, and 9 times out of 10 its regretable because you get things like obnoxious color camo behavior or just plain being visually unpleasant, this was a thing for SF4 as well(Volcano anyone?), being wild and colorful is cool, but its a negative to the raw gameplay

Even though I play sfv a lot and of course, mostly on grid, I like the change of scenery. In ggst or tekken and mk you can play on different stages and that would be perfectly fine

Luigi is a grappler. Grapplers in smash aren't the same as in traditional fighters. Luigi fucking loves grab. Huge, not much endlag, excellent combos out of it, kill confirms and a kill throw. If you're talking about big body grapplers only then you have dk, bowser and incineroar. Heavies are closer to what traditional fighters grapplers are

strive potemkin would wash the floor with the majority of the sfv roster. forget the strive roman cancel system, he could have no v-meter of any kind and be top tier with just the EX bar for supers people would mald out of their fucking minds if strive potemkin was in sfv. and let's not even get into the god that is accent core potemkin
Did you fight one Lucia at all Brainf ? Is odd that one can fight to warlord and only fight Luke's ryu Ken's you know the regular sf5 gang easy winning gang. If you fight a lucia or a Nash even a Blanka post it. Thank you in advance Brain!
A Nash was in a previous video, I think there was a Rose as well at one point, the ranked pool is varied but you're likely to see a lot of repeat opponents at that height because of how few players are likely queuing at your matchmaking bracket
As someone that stopped grinding ranked because it was too stressful to play against non stop shotos with super high damage and overall online degeneracy, it's oddly soothing to see that even a good player like Brian gets bopped by that kinda of stuff, Honestly it's a shame that the netcode for SFV simply cannot keep up with its fast dashes and jumps, in my experience at least
I wonder if there is a way to make a game that doesnt reward players like that Ed. since combos are so easy in this game it makes it even worse. (and i admit that the ed would destroy me .. which is evidenced by brians struggle and im no where near the Oro player brian is) This eds playstyle is perfect for a FT1 or FT2 online (offline the racket from him mashing punches everytime he is forced to block during any time he also has meter. would be a dead give away to intentionally drop your block string and then block the ex psycho upper that is inevitably coming) .. but even online it would be easier to read in a longer set. And Im not hating the player here. If that stuff works, why not do it.. you are playing online.. why intentionally handicap yourself by playing in a way that would help you offline, if you only intend to play online. get them points bruh
Noob here, what is it that's actually frustrating/cheap about the Ed's playstyle? I can tell he's possibly too aggressive but I don't see many other problems
@@PaddyRoon7 In overall Ed is ok, but "Spark"(1-2-3 hands) have some Honda-like "frust moment" because -2 on block + Ed "speed" and strong EX Fireball(+8 on block) = trouble to fast adapt + requires patience with wait "you turn" and 50/50 moments.
