My favorite thing about their comedy is how they escalate the central joke. They’re SO GOOD at progressing the sketch without losing momentum, and it’s always hilarious! 😂😂😂
He was not playing the guitar, he was playing bar chords too far up on the neck (his fingering) but the chords we heard were open chords

This is one of my favorite skits by them.
There are some shock country songs that involve race, though the same artists sing about other taboo topics as well. They are meant to be intentionally shocking, usually for a social or political purpose.
There are also some actual racist songs/singers that at points had cult followings. Those have mostly completely faded away and become list in time, or they are still treasured mostly by people listening to them as comedic for the absolute ridiculousness of what they were.
On a cultural note, that you are well aware of, there are idiots and haters in every walk of life.

😂 just like substitute teacher 1 & 2 this skit is one of my favorites. To me it’s up there with their other skits ( worst evil henchman, pawn shop, trying no to laugh when your friend is crying, two church ladies vs Satan, and when the a cappella group already has one black guy )

David Allen Coe, his racist songs...when I was in the Marine Corps, my green brothers from the South would play that shit to get a reaction out of me. What's ironic is that a lot of DAC's biggest influences were guys like Screamin' Jay Hawkins.
