The D5 plug in for Sketchup makes the life link

I imported the model in Sketchup to be able to use D5 because there is no direct link from Chief architect to D5

i tried the same but my model comes with a lot of lines inside the geometry, how can I bring it as clean as yours?

When in sketchup make sure you click options in the import dialog window, before you import the file.
In option check merge co-planar faces.

hi very nice work. can you explain about exporting to sketchup. I tried to work in sketchup with 3ds file, but the it doesn't look smooth like yours. thank you.

When importing 3ds files to SketchUp click the options button in the open file dialogue
check merge coplanar faces, there you go! You won't have those ugly triangles!
