Love this series, it’s one of my favorites by you (or anyone). Really helps give a deeper understanding of the mechanics behind a team, and I love that you specifically address not only what teams you can counter, but also what to watch out for as a reverse counter. Knowing what matters and what doesn’t for a a team to pop can also help make informed decisions as to trade-offs, for those of us who don’t have all god-tier mods/have to budget our resources more tightly. One suggestion for your speed formula notation to clean it up a a little (using the same variable for different values could be confusing): Fastest Trooper + 20 = X X * 0.8 = Y Y - 20 = Z (speed of next fastest trooper) Or you could combine and simplify the above as follows: St = ((Ft + 20) * 0.8) - 20 St = 0.8Ft + 16 - 20 St = 0.8Ft - 4 Where ‘Ft’ is the base speed of your fastest trooper (not accounting for the Veers leadership boost) and ‘St’ is the base speed of your second trooper.
One request - it would be awesome if you also speak to 3v3 comps and strategies (maybe that would be better for another series entirely since these faction essentials are already usually ~30 minutes)!! I actually prefer 3v3 as a lower level roster (2.5M gp), I feel like it gives those of us with incomplete teams a lot more flexibility and variety which I find fun.

A BIG problem many fall into is just trying to special ability / AOE things whenever they're available and with this team, as you pointed out against DR squads, just using basic for awhile at the beginning while choosing the right opponent is EVERYTHING. Replace either Dark Trooper or Starck withMagmatrooper under Veers lead. Mark Magma Trooper with Piett's unique which gives an non-removable debuff (it also stacks per team turn) Magma Trooper unique gives 70% turn meter per debuff and/or buff. Now combine it with Veers leader ability and Pietts unique....alot of turn meter
According to your math, my starck needs to be 260 speed. But then I don't see how I would outrun a DR. Piett: 330 + 20 from Lead = 350 Starck 300 + 20 from lead = 320 First move from Piett gives 30% tm to starck (first stack he gains when he gets a turn, second when he uses the ability and third 10% due to offense up) Range unique is only 50% so I won't take the possible stack he would give me into consideration 350-320 = 30 30% of 30 = 9 So DR shouldn't be faster than 329 then if starck is 300.

Thank you! I was modded all wrong, including a CD set on Dark Trooper. Lol. Last several GACs opponents are putting DR under a Maul lead. 20% TM gain start of battle. IT can rarely outrace at that point. Suggestions? Or is this simply a solid counter?
And WHY may you start your landing? Because General Veers is an absolute Boss of an officer! Been my opinion since about the time the movie first came out
This game won't be complete without Admiral Ozzel! So what if he came out of Hyperdrive too close to Hoth... ? He was a great character and probably gave cinema the best choke ever!
Once thing that doesn't make sense to me here is the speed calcs. So #1 is gonna be 340-360 speed, #2 is gonna be 80% of that so 272-288, #3 is gonna be #1 speed - 20 so 320-360? But that's always gonna make #3 faster than #2
I recently got some troopers reliced for my see journey and was wondering what my other two toons should be and the modding. Will have to get range and dark trooper starred and geared soon, but I kinda figured out the speed order by some miracle lol. Is a low gear Gideon and stormtrooper any good for a sub? I've been trying to use them for now but Gideon is the only one who seems to get any use and even then it's questionable whether his control the situation helps or hurts the team more lol

I just LOVE my Troopers! Don't have Dark T sadly enough (top of my wishlist!), but do have Snow T who has a very nice Unique as well (ST gains 30% tm when any unit is defeated, other Empire gain half, and some crit for all imps). Give me always 4/4 in TB and it give me a lot of laughs in GAC when they crush some very decent teams XD I just can't live whitout my Troopers! Maybe my fav squad in the whole game..
Late to the vid but for the algo, I figured I'd ask anyways, Isn't there a cpit comp that needs Gideon? I got all the troopers from the SEE journey and am currently working on building most of the others to have on hand for every game mode. But in specific I really wanted to get a cpit team ready since i lack the GL's to contend there.
I am thinking aboout building a second Imperial troopers team, with Gidion lead (and he has some specific requirements for his underlings class) How would you split the troopers to 2 teams?
Speed really doesn't come into play here besides starting turn order. All about that TM gain, which has nothing to do with speed. And, you do use his AOE against DR :-)

@@thehydracarbon2773 I did it in my most recent, feel free to check it out. That said, good insight. Death can daze or deathmark the marauder, since high-end guilds will have tankier marauders. Unsure if you were trying to help, but this was helpful all the same, thanks! Edit: based on your past comments, it looks like you're just a troll. All good, we can still learn things from trolls at times. It's not too late though, seems like maybe you have some wisdom to offer. I'm (genuinely) rooting for that to happen :-)
@@Xaereth I tried that comp twice and lost twice and my team is clocked and properly modded. I think the team you faced had weak mods or that bast is super slow or marauder was low health (can't tell from the video)... anytime I had a DR hit me like in your example, the match was an instant loss like 5 seconds later, so I think your outcome is not going to be reliable or was a fluke because of a mod mismatch... either way, just saying I have not had the same experience. take it or leave it.

Can you use imperial super commando with this team? I know it's not an IT but the extra damage it offers along with more aot wouldn't it be worth it?

Hmmm, I'm actually not sure. I don't think his obvious mechanics would help much vs. The CRancor TBH. No TM reduction or reduced damage 🤔
Thanks for the knowledge! What are the minimum gear levels to counter a DR team? Does your secondary account counter DR?
My 2nd account might try to kill a weak DR, but hasn't had the chance too. R5 on Dark is probably minimum against most good DR teams.
Why does Dark Trooper need to be third? Could he go fourth or fith and still be OK (as long as the TM bridging is set up correctly).
He could if you needed him to. Earlier is better so you can get him more turns, and sometimes you want to use his buff ability to loop his TM a bit.
I cant follow your guide atm. Dont have dark trooper and with a 6* Exec i have to cripple my Piett to win against 7*

HK’s loyalty to the maker zeta prevents bonus turn meter on enemies who have bonus protection.
Gideons turn won‘t give 10% tm if he goes first if piett didn’t give out ET first.
ET isn't a thing you give out, it just happens. You're thinking of inevitable failure, which is different.

If you are using against DR, you won’t be using the AoE from Veers. Therefore, I mod my Veers a lot faster, so he gets more turns in.

nobody runs stark vs. dr with marauder...so this analysis is half irrelevant without considering death trooper in the turn order
