Epilepsy is a central nervous system (neurological) disorder in which brain activity becomes abnormal, causing seizures or periods of unusual behaviour, sensations, and sometimes loss of awareness.
Seizure symptoms can vary widely. Some people with epilepsy simply stare blankly for a few seconds during a seizure, while others repeatedly twitch their arms or legs. Having a single seizure doesn't mean you have epilepsy. At least two unprovoked seizures are generally required for an epilepsy diagnosis.
Symptoms-
(1) Temporary confusion
(2) A staring spell
(3) Uncontrollable jerking movements of the arms and legs
(4) Loss of consciousness or awareness
(5) Psychic symptoms such as fear, anxiety or deja vu
Types of epilepsy- (1) Idiopathic (2) Symptomatic
Classification-
1- Simple Partial
2- Generalized-
(A) Absence seizures
(B) Tonic seizures. Tonic seizures cause stiffening of your muscles. These seizures usually affect muscles in your back, arms and legs and may cause you to fall to the ground.
(C) Atonic seizures. Atonic seizures, also known as drop seizures, cause a loss of muscle control, which may cause you to suddenly collapse or fall down.
(D) Clonic seizures
(E)Myoclonic seizures
(F) Tonic-clonic seizures

Seizures are basically 02 types. One which cause is not known and other which are due to known cause. Glutamate may or may not be the reasion but most of the case head injury or nerve spasm or over production of action potential via diff neurotransmittera are responsible.

GABA. BZD and Barbiturates are basically responsible for the opening of chloride channel or we can also say that this cl channel are operated via such GABA and BZD. Although there other activity is not yet mentioned in book. So for now as per my info- yes this is responsible only for all action via GABA

Ha.gaba is the major inhibitor in the brain.it allow the chloride ions .that means inhibitory current ko allow kartha hy. benzodiazepns.expecially 1,4 diazepam ring wala having the specialized binding site on Gaba.it doesn't opening the channel instead increase the affinity to Gaba.
With in 30 min activation form karsakthy hy BzDs
