I always spray a sealer on my pieces when they are finished,, what are you using as a spray after you base coat?

The color is walnut that is made by Kimple colors. It is a water base antique solution.
This is their website. You can go check it out and you should be able to find a shop near you that carries their colors.

I used black chalk paint as a base coat can I antique over that

I don't think you would be able to antique over the black chalk paint. The antique would not been seen. I would recommend using a lighter color.
