How is your paint so liquidy? I bought some to paint figurines but it's really thick

Have you done an elephant, dry brush? Would I do it like you are doing this little guy? I’m so
Afraid of messing it up, a friend wants me to do it and I m just so afraid to. Got any ideas to help me out? It’s got fancy blanket on its back, like from India parade. I did the blanket in turquoise, trimmed in gold. He had started painting the elephant in gray, but it has all these wrinkles, and I think it should be dry brushed. I’ve had it awhile at my house, our Sr Center ,had closed because of Covid, that’s been a long time ago, I got ill, and just didn’t feel like painting, now I want to get it done, but I need advice. I didn’t have Covid, and the Center has been open for awhile now. But no one is doing ceramics. 😅 any advice would appreciated. I’ve been looking on you tube, this is the closes I’ve gotten to the Elephant with color, I think it would be pretty. Thanks for sharing♥️♥️👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
