This was one of the most stressful runs I’ve watched. I loved this game as a kid and I know how easy it is to mess up. Great job though! I’ve always wondered why they made Carnival 2 and 3 so difficult! My favorite levels are Fortress of Fear 3 and Pirates 3. Glover is also on my list to get an OST remaster sometime soon.

The overworld at the beginning absolutely freaked me out as a kid. The evil laugh when you enter, no music, apocalyptic glow, ambient wind… horror games don’t have an atmosphere so terrifying.

I mean, maybe I'm biased, but I think the first part is kinda cool.. That being said, there is a speedrunning discord, and more runs on speedrun.com. The current world record is a 1:04:49, by my much faster friend, ac_143. Even I have a 1:14:36 uploaded to youtube, but run time isn't always how these things get recommended..

@@Ryguy2499 Just, everything was subpar. The concept was interesting but more time in developement might of made the controls better since it fels like your in soup constantly, and the bosses are tedicous.
It's kind of a results/time screen? It shows level time, best time saved on the cart, garibs (cards) collected out of the amount in level, and your total score after counting the collected garibs. You can also skip it with the A button, so that's what we do instead!

uhh.. i'm not sure i understand the question, but probably with the a button..? unless you mean, like.. timing for the speedrun starts on difficulty selection, so i just cut out whatever was before that..?

Love to see this done at a GDQ event. Question, How do you get behind the Rainbow Wall? I tried for like an hour with no success.
@ I'm not sure how good of a job I could do of explaining it, but... You should be able to do this trick anywhere you have a flat wall, and flat ground (except in space, or underwater?) You need to get on top of the bowling ball, right up against the wall, and carefully move the camera to be as parallel to the wall as you can get it.. If you're playing on easy, then you just have to lightly tap down and Z at the same time. I'm not entirely sure about the controls on normal, but i think it's just reverse of that? (so tap up and Z?) Alternatively, if you just want to get behind the bonus barrier.. some versions of glover you can just jump through the star painting above the boss door once you beat it.

all bonus levels are unlocked by playing on normal and beating levels 1-3 with all the garibs (cards) from the same world
